The Drow, or often called Dark Elven kin, are a dim and ancient race. Unlike the other familiar elves, the Drow are cave duelers, creatures of the depths who do not enjoy the company of those who live on the surface.
They are often called demons, dark creatures, evil, and their appearance does not do much to avoid such criticism.
Dark elves have coal gray skin, which permits them to blend in to the dark like shadows, while their stature is slightly smaller and more slender than those of humans. Their hair, often kept in elaborate braids, is pale as silver, and for this reason, dark elves will often cloak their heads when scouting the surface world at night. Their eyes vary in color, ranging from shades of green and golden yellow, to shades of orange and red. Their irises are as those of a cat.
Their features are as graceful as the most beautiful of elves and are often denominated as being devilishly attractive.
Yet such characteristics are not the only motive feeding the dread of surfa

Chosen of the Spider QueenDrizzt Do'Urden made his way cautiously through the tunnels below Mithril Hall. As a ranger, it was his sworn duty to protect the hall from the constant menace that the Underdark posed. The deep places of the earth were filled with monsters such as hook horrors and basilisks, as well as the ever present danger of invasion by goblins, Drow, or Duergar. Sometimes it seemed as though destroying monsters was his whole life.Chosen of the Spider Queen3 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
The cavern he was patrolling seemed to lead deeper into the Underdark. This was dangerous territory. As he made his way down the sloping tunnel, he became conscious of an eerie sensation. He could also smell something sulfurous in the air.
The tunnel began to fill with an unearthly green luminescence. What magic was this?
Before Drizzt came the tallest and most beautiful Drow female he had ever seen. Long white hair cloaked her body, falling well below her knees. She was clad in a gown woven from spider webs. She moved gracefully across the rough cavern floor on her bar

Kalich stood in the middle of a grass field.
“Kalich, watch out!” Annala tackled him to the ground behind a small foot hill.
An explosion went off.
Annala leaned her back up against the rock wall as she looked out at the night battlefield. “That was close.” Annala looked over at Kalich who got up on all fours. “What were you thinking?”
Kalich crawled up beside her, placing his back against the wall. He looked over at her. “I’m not exactly use to this.” Kalich was a handsome, lean eighteen year old merchant with blood red hair that draped down around his head with green eyes,

While the tight ropes severely restricted Lady Lucille's movements, they did nothing, contrary to the hopes of her captor, to reign in her unbridled spirit. The young noblewoman pulled energetically on her bonds, firmly promising herself she would remain defiant to the last. Her exertions made it difficult for her to maintain her balance, but she was determined to preserve her dignity and remain standing on her feet.
"Mpfff!" she exploded. The cloth gag over her mouth prevented her from expressing herself more coherently, but her disdain for Sir Perceval Pomberton

A ray of light shone directly into Kagomes eyes. She groaned a bit as she rubbed her eyes. To her, something felt wrong, but she couldnt figure out what. Uuuuh... what time is it? she softly muttered as she turned over in her bed and stared at her digital alarm clock. The number screen, completely blank, immediately drew her attention and yanked her out of her state of sleepiness, replacing calm with anxiety. Oh no! My alarm clock broke down! What time is it? She thrust a hand into her nearby purse, fishing out her cell phone, and flipped it open. The time display read 7:27 AM. Im going to be late for school! Kagome cried as she dove into her closet, tearing away her flannel pajamas and searching desperately for her seifuku.
Alright, there goes the late bell, Mrs. Kuroi said as she closed the door. She turned around and went back to her desk to do her attendance sheet when a familiar voi

When they came in, they always came in fast. They skid low across the atmosphere like silvery stones, flushed with coldness and dawn. It seems like they had been coming for a few years now, and perhaps observing for some time before that. We knew what they had been doing for awhile, but due to the scale of the previous conflict their depredations went unnoticed. Unnoticed at least by nations and armies. The inhabitants of a remote farm would go missing. Bandits, of course. A fishing vessel might disappear, just before dawn on a clear calm night. Drift mine, most likely. However, the disappearance of all the human inhabitants from certain remote island chains seemed harder to explain.
As things were rebuilt, one missing person became ten, then a hundred, then a thousand. A sort of harvest was suspected. It took radar and collective will to finally see them clearly. Silent, swift, and hungry. We almost never saw them at all. We never found any trace of their victims. They came o
Caz-ual EncountersNow, I want you to understand that I dont mean anything personal by this, Caitlyn, explained Caz, reading the security guards name off her shiny brass nametag. The fascinatingly enigmatic jewel thief was dressed all in sleek, black clothing that allowed her to move easily and blend subtly into the shadows. A mask covered her upper face. A small bit of her curly brown hair escaped from the tight black cap she wore over her head. She carried a small black pouch slung across one shoulder. Suddenly someone lifts me by the shirt.
They give me heaps of sugar,
They give me a chocolate bar.
When finally I come to,
I can't remember, no matter what they do.
They try to explain how it looks,
How violently I shook.
But no matter what they say,
This memory will delay.
I have to eat a lot more sweet,
Trust me this isn't a treat.
I feel sick but I've got more to eat,
Take me to a hospital and save me from the creeps.
I will be sick, like with every other hypo,
I need glucagon or a drip or again I'll go low.
Everybody's rushing, trying to help me,
Every other hypo they did see.
I feel terrible for a few hours,
While over me people tower.
They don't want me going back down,
Apparently I'm not as amusing as a clown.
Apparently I give a shudder,
Apparently I fall down,
Apparently my body clenches,
Apparently I shake,
Apparently I shiver.
And I know for sure that when I come to,
I can't remember my names, not all three or only two.
I don't remember where

This was supposed to be a hardware store, but it was more of a rope store than anything else despite the few other things they sold like knifes and tape. She glanced down at the magazine behind the counter which was a simple craftsmen magazine which she read enough that she had it memorized. If she wasn't in debt from going to college she would never had taken this boring job but she had to fill her pockets with money somehow.

I can't believe someone so beautiful
Could be with me
Suffer with me, Love with me
with you by my side I could live through anything
That's why I gave my soul to you
With the ring I pushed onto your finger
As you did mine
I can't tell you how much I love you
How much you mean to me
With you in it the world is so much more beautiful
So as you lay asleep in our bed
I thank god, fate, or whatever for bringing you into my life
With you I can live a beautiful life
With an Angel on the way and you as my loyal wife
I think it will be a beautiful life
So sleep for now I'll kiss you once you awake
for the rest of my life
I'll always love you my beautiful wife
Let us live a beautiful life

There are no sharp edges
To cut and bleed
Just well-rounded corners
And smooth surfaces
And our movements are sure
In our dance, no need to practice
These steps aren't new
And the touch of your hand
Burns warm, not hot
Our flames aren't all-consuming
But the warmth of a well-banked fire
Tenderly cared for through the storms
My heart still lifts to see you
Though your head is more silver than brown
And your smile is still a balm
When the world has been unkind
Your eyes still speak volumes
That my heart catalogs
Like a favorite robe
This is a well-worn love

He was not a psyker.
He had been taken by the Enforcers more than once for testing when they performed their irregular sweeps, or when word of his "talents" had reached them and they checked for latent emergence. But they had found him to be well within acceptable limits, lacking any obvious psychic taint.
This had not noticeably interfered with his income. In fact, if anything, it had built upon his reputation. No one could be seen to be visiting an unlicensed psyker, after all. But one could visit someone officially sanctioned as definitely not a psyker... and whisper behind one's hand that his powers were clearly so great that he could deceive even the penetrating talents of the Emperor's Witch Finders!
He sat in the gloom of his "consulting room" and drummed his fingers impatiently on the table. He was expecting a client and it helped the atmosphere for them to find him deep in meditation in the dark room, its rich furnishings

She wishes she could understand,
This wasn't what we all had planned,
The death of man, the death of man.
Her vision blurs and then she sees,
A world of beauty, lakes and trees,
Creatures living happily,
In harmony, in harmony
Her sight is dual, she can compare,
What darkness brings with its despair,
And all the things that light can bear,
How will they fare? How will they fare?
A war between these different sides,
A battle between day and night,
A crucial clashing, natural fight,
Of dark and light, of dark and light.
The darkness has its tempting ways,
Seducing you to start to stray,
While taking all your hopes away,
So life is gray, so life is gray.
Yet light will bring a world to you,
That's beautiful and dazzling new,
With love and courage, virtue too,
The sun shines through, the sun shines through.
Each person has the choice to make,
Will you choose to give or take?
Will you build or will you break?
The world's at stake, the world's at stake

Leaf sniffed quietly. She hugged her knees, hiding her trembling mouth. Her red puffy eyes stared soullessly into the dancing flames.
Suddenly, a warm coat wrapped around her body. She looked up, only to see a distressed Green. The young leader sighed heavily and crouched down to her level. "Stop crying," he said, patting her head softly. "I'm sorry I haven't been around lately. But it's not that I hate you." His hand took her chin, slowly lifting her up to meet his gaze.
"But just remember, no matter how far we are, you're always in my mind." He wiped the tears off her face. A small, innocent smile curved up his lips. "So stop crying, you pesky little girl coz you're making me feel pathetic for losing to you."
Hikari wiped her tears. She bit her lip, holding back another sob. The young dark brunette slumped her back against the wall, her lips pursed into a sorrowful frown. Her hands moved to her necklace, gripping the black pendant tightly. Her

After her right eye began to cool itself she began looking around her surrounding to see if anyone could help, but nobody was around. Soon after, the sound of metal boots splashing in water rapidly followed, and got closer as she heard a soft "Are you alright?" in a very deep voice.
Vitae rolled over, preparing a sly or crude remark to introduce herself to this new person, but she was taken aback by the sheer height of the man.
"Ah-A " she struggled for words. "Ane-ue." She managed, though her voice a few octaves too high.
The man let out a soft "Oh," followed by a sigh as he rather gently picked her up from the ground by the back of her shirt with a stone

To Christian Fiction WritersThis is a message to Christian fiction writers. If you’re not a Christian, you can still read but you might not care too much for what is said. Also, this is different from nonfiction writing of Christians and I actually enjoy that literature. I could read for hours a good nonfiction writing with someone that actually goes deep…read some Josh McDowell or Timothy Keller to get what I mean. Much research went into their work and I’m appreciative to such nonfiction. However, this is to address fiction that is done for Christ and my strong opinions on the matter. To Christian Fiction Writers1 year ago in Editorial More Like This

I know this’ll seem lame of me to begin with a negative note, but I hope to end this with something positive. There have been some Christian fiction writers that have spoken to me and one is even a relative of mine about their stories. To be honest, I am a harsher critic with such writing rather than secular work because…THIS IS SUPPOSED TO FURTHER HIS KINGDOM. Keep t
