What is Minecraft?
Minecraft is an increasingly popular indie game created by Markus Perrson, also known as Notch. The game is very customizable, so you can play it however you want to.
How Does One Get the Game?
First you have to get an account on the Minecraft website (www.minecraft.net), then you have to make it premium. This costs about 15 euros ($20 USD). After that, download the game and start playing!
What Can One Do To Make The Game More in Their Taste?
Long question, but easily answered. The quickest way to do this is to change the player skin from default to your own. You can find out how to do this on the website or the forums. Also, you can download skins from certain p

I don't want to die
I just want to find a place
Where pain is a metaphor
And God is explained
Where people smile when they mean it
And don't laugh at murder
I don't want to kill myself
This world is all I have
I don't hate the sun
I just wish it would rise
On an earth that doesn't bleed
On hands that rest from pain
Where miracles are believable
And patriots are not scorned
I don't welcome darkness
But darkness is all I see
I don't want to die
I just want to take you home
Where babies live to smile
And families stay together
Where compassion still means something
And I can deserve your love
I don't want to die
And I won't
Not as long as I have breath in my body
Who I was and Who I amWho I was and Who I am3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I used to be..
Overly concerned with my appearance and how people viewed me.
A people pleaser, rather than God pleaser.
Obsessed with things of the world.
All I wanted was love and I looked in all the wrong directions.
I used to be so angry, judgemental and pessimistic about who I was and I never trusted
I wanted to look like everyone else, act and speak like everyone else.
I finally wanted and was determined to fit in.
I wanted to be beautiful and thought of as being beautiful.
I lowered my standards of myself to fit on their level.
Instead of standing up for others and what I believed in, I made compromises.
Flattery got in the way and I even mocked others that were similar to who
I really was inside.
I was never popular, but more than I ever had been in my life.
I thought I really had life figured out and all would only get better.
I was on cloud nine and was so pleased to have so many friends and friends that
would stand up for me!

An atheist professor of Philosophy was speaking to his class on the problem Science has with GOD. He asked one of his new Christian Students to stand and . . .

Student : Yes, sir.
Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD good ?
Student : Sure.
professor: Is GOD all powerful ?
Student : Yes.
Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn't. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?
(Student was silent.)
Professor: You can't answer, can you ? Let's start again, young fella. Is GOD good?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Is satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor: Where does satan come from ?
Student : From . . . GOD . . .
Professor: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn't it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.

Being here makes no sense
Sometimes it comes to me
That I should put an end to it...

In blizzard or storm,
Or in sun warm and bright,
The day hot as hell
Or bone-chilling be the night,
Our faces may with dust be laid,
But spirits never fade,
No, never fade;
Relentless, our tank
Thunders out on a raid.
With engines a-howling,
Fast as is the wind,
We head for the foe,
Safe, as we're in armor skinned.
Our comrades still behind us roam;
We fight the foe alone,
Yes, fight alone.
We stab through the line
To break the foes backbone.
Whenever the foe
May appear in our sight,
We'll ram throttle full,
Then we'll humble all his might!
Of what use is our life if we
Our country serve freely?
Yes, serve freely!
To die for our country,
Our honour shall be.
With tank traps and mines,
Our foe tries to impede.
We laugh at his ruses;
We know he'll not suceed.
And when, in threat, his cannons stand,
Half hidden in the sand,
Yes, in the sand,
We can find our way
Over much safer land.
And should at long last,
Fickle Lady Luck leave,
And we remain here,
Leaving family to grieve,

A Testimony of a Broken ChristianI know that there are people out there who are so against Christ, but... if they only just try to seek His love, if they open up just a little... they will know what they're missing. That emptiness people talk about won't be there anymore. But I don't blame most people, we Christians are a poor example of who Christ really is. We fight with each other, we accuse each other without knowing one another's circumstances or backgrounds. Basically, we are very hypocritical at times.A Testimony of a Broken Christian3 years ago in Stories & Vignettes More Like This
What can I say? We're still human. Our hypocritical, and judgmental behavior is part of our sinful flesh. It's the very reason we're still going to the temple for congregation. I wouldn't say we go to Church because... well, we ARE the Church. All of us believers, as imperfect and sinful as we are. Yet, Jesus loves us.
He's there for the drug addict, the prostitute, the deaf, the cancerous, the murderer, the homosexual. He's there for all of us. He DIED for all of us, and rose again to show us that He is God. It

My Life Is Yours
My sins – my faults – my ignorance,
my humanity that brought Him pain,
my lies shed innocent blood,
I've turned my back to grace,
I've put my eyes to darkness.
My heart turns cold with every beat,
and so I lay the cross aside,
betraying life itself, betraying Christ.
My head hangs low, but not enough,
may it swing as a pendulum,
swaggering in the lowest dregs.
Lord, I know You are real,
I know You are my God.
Why for me? Why this way?

How To Say GoodbyeDear Unborn Child, Whom I Let Go;How To Say Goodbye3 years ago in Letters More Like This
When I was thirteen and four months old, and you were thirteen years younger, I decided to let you go. You squirmed in opposition beneath my ribcage, up against my pelvis, and I licked my lips and tried to smile while I leaned my forehead on the cool glass of the car, hellbound.
I remember sea weed insertion, dilation, cramps and bleeding. Orange smoothies from Dairy Queen that I threw up, and I hoped you were mingling in the remains of my summer day treat, so I could put this behind me. Pretend I was 'moving on'. I laid in the bathtub of a hotel room for six hours, trying to melt you away in scalding water from a rusty tap, yet you clung on, holding tightly to the walls of my pelvic region. Wiggling upwards, towards my throat. Past my teeth. You're trying to get out, but my family has decided you won't breathe when you're released from your bloody shackles; you may as well settle down now, sweet son, settle down.
The rest of this, to me, is a blur. Th

My tiny arms so slack from the smallest intake of food, the sleeves drooping like old skin on small bodies that everyone refuses the option to quit. Eating has seemed so cannibalistic since you left, the simple act of forcing food down my throat only makes me more of myself and less of you, who will never eat again.death smells like fresh fruit.8 years ago in Philosophy & Perspectives More Like This
I stop in the hallway mirror, and look at my smudged eyes and lank hair. In the summer, on the swings, it hung around my face in loose waves. As all things seem to do, it grew as we grew apart in physical state, the hair mourning you like I do, the hair that caught your hands and fingers hangs unwashed and tangled. I smelled you near then, and I pushed out my limbs, and I ran to the glass door, pushing always the pane aside. My tiny hands and I have become more acquainted in the past days, as I hold my cigarettes, as I hold my face. The pool was covered in

Moses cried out when my people complained in the desert. They only saw the size of their need, not my ability to provide. They forgot that I created water to sustain life, and that I always delight to supply what my people need.
Just as I demonstrated my power when the Israelites sojourned in Egypt, I showed them my power in the desert. Let me do the same for you. When you're facing similar situations, be quicker to ask for help than you are to complain. And remember that I am always here when you need me. I can turn things around, my child. I can turn those bitter situations sweet.

But take a moment to stop and stare at everything.

Every family is just getting stretched a little bit thinner.
And if you're from the block that doesn't feel any of that.
Well, I hope you can see how privileged you are.
Having the time, energy and resources to complain;
That right there, is the real privilege.

I just got a request for a critique on some vectors, and I really want to share the guide with some more people. Remember this is in *no* ways comprehensive, and is simply a few pointers on how to improve your vectors overall.
Make absolutely sure you're using vector masks, and not just "select path" and using the paint bucket fill tool! This is 100% necessary in vectoring!
Many people make the same simple mistakes when you get up close and look at their vectors. Here are a few points that people usually miss while vectoring.
- Shape Continuity. Make sure that outlines and fills match up. Once you start making lots of pointy edges and areas, the fill layer can appear offset, or not fully lined up. The most common place where this happens is in hair, where the tips aren't strictly adhered to. Occasional slivers of lower layers can show through too, and that is bad, to say the least. This can be fixed by simply zooming in closely and adjusting anchor points accordingly.

Whenever I hear this question, I am sure that I am about to be ridiculed and rejected. But then again, I usually think Im about to be ridiculed and rejected, so I suppose thats not relevant.
Firstly, theres really no way to explain the way I feel when Ive shifted. I am not thinking in English, my mind doesnt form words like culture says it should. I dont think about what I am, or whats happened earlier, or whats happening later. I think about whatsthatsmell or iseesomethingmoving. And nothing else really matters because thisisnow and iamhere.
Mind you, of course I know that I am never fully animal or fully human. Its my sliding bar of life. Now Im 30% animal, 70% human. Yesterday I was 80% animal, 20% human. Roughly, you know.
Im struggling to put my definition into words right now, because it seems so complex and yet so simple

One lifeAt one time, her heart was running. One life2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Now it is at a still beat.
She only had good intentions,
but it all ended in defeat.
She looks outside her window,
feeling like nothing once again.
Her life was going away,
but she still tried to remember when.
She realized it was gone,
so she took a knife.
She hesitated slightly,
but still sliced away with strife.
Her beautiful opal hair fell to the floor,
her skin grazed the rough wood.
With all of the cuts and bruises on her body,
she had suffered what no one should.
It was only a game meant for two,
but it had found its winner.
Bearing the scars of the girl,
Death had just eaten dinner.
And so her story ended,
it was left unknown.
But this was no ordinary story,
this could be one of your own.
Uncle Tom's CabinFor those of us who grew up on Evansdale Street, Uncle Tom's Cabin had a double meaning: first, it was a book on every parent's bookshelf that was both a regret and a reminder, and second, it was that ugly old shack that stood (well, sort of stood) at the end of Evansdale Street, where Brookwood's residential area finally gave into the woods. The older kids would spread the legend that the shack once belonged to an old fisherman named Tom, and that we were allowed in it every day of the year except September 1st, because that was Tom's niece's birthday and we had to leave them the house so their ghosts could celebrate.Uncle Tom's Cabin3 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This

In the winter, the shack became a research facility that managed to switch locations from the North to the South Pole daily while the ten of us waddled through knee-deep snow to search for Yeti and polar bears and dancing penguins.
In the spring, it was a king's castle we defended against dragons that looked

People have a habit of trying to hide their thoughts. Staring has always been a taboo; at least, when you are caught. Being armed with this knowledge did little to ease the sting she felt every time someone quickly looked away. Crowds parted around her and reformed several feet behind her back. It cut down on travel time, but she could not help feeling isolated. She had heard stories of strangers bumping elbows but that sensation was lost in her own memory. Christiana knew how she looked to outsiders. Ice blue eyes and pale freckles on her cheeks, all framed by long black hair. The only abnormality in her list of physical features was a tuft of solid white hair nestled into the black of her bangs. So how did they know to stay away?
Despite the uncanny ability of strangers to sense there w
