What About The Black Skins, Green Lantern? This is it, folks. This is THE most preachy run of comics I've EVER freakin' seen! Almost as bad as "Superman: Grounded"! ALMOST! And the worst part is...this is a Green Lantern comic. I pretty much grew UP on Green Lantern.
And yet, unfortunately, Green Lantern's given me some of the most pretentious, preachy, head-up-its-ass, morality-play, talking-down-to-you storylines I have ever, EVER seen. And right outta the starting gate is a story run done by the the comic creating dynamic duo of Dennis O'Neil and Neal Adams. The story comes from the 70's, during the "Silver Age" of comics, when Hal Jordan was the Green Lantern.
Who's Hal Jordan? He's a test pilot. He used to be a military pilot but he got fired due to certain circumstances. One day he was flying a plane for his girlfriend's company, Ferris Aircraft, and what should he find? A crashed alien ship. He goes down to try and help the inhabitant because he is "without fear", and because of this admirable quality, the dying alien wi

The first morning sunlight cast the most beautiful of glows upon cold metal that was soon quickly warming. As the blue-eyed robot rose from his slumber upon the couch, he smiled as he greeted the day, opening the door to his master's home wide, as if eager to welcome in a roommate he'd not seen in years.
"Good morning, morning!" He cheerily exclaimed. As a fresh October wind blew into his face and the first of fall leaves flickered by, he smiled broadly. He knew it, today was gonna be a good day, he could just tell. Cheerily bounding down the patio past still-slumbering garden gnomes, he spread his arms wide as if wishing to hug all the world. "Here comes the sun, do-do-doo-doo! Here comes the sun, and I saaaay it's all right!"
"Ah, another bright new day." Zim said cheerily, rubbing his gloved hands together. "As you remember, I perfected my latest INGENIOUS device just yesterday! This means I have at least a week to bug the D

Welcome, children. Welcome…to the KARMA CIRCLE.
It is important to note that the unknown is not always to be feared. And it’s rather cliché to say that people fear what they don’t understand. But there is a grain of truth to it. Just a grain, but a grain nonetheless. People are more…apprehensive…than afraid. They’re cautiously guarded. As they should be. It’s pragmatic.
But sometimes people just don’t understand the danger they’re putting themselves in. They have an embrace of the unknown that is downright foolish. Even worse so when they KNOW the unknown is dangerous…and don’t care, for they believe that they can make use of such things for their own foolish goals. They dine at the Devil’s banquet, eagerly drinking from the cup he fills up, lulled in by his sweet words.
One family is going to learn the consequences of dining with the devil.
The HARD WAY...
“You’re doomed. DOOME

Believe me when I say I'm not really into character-bashing. I believe in hating characters not for who they are, but for what they do. The problem is that what they do is usually inevitably tied into who they are. And boy, oh boy, if there was ever a character I've disliked the most in this fandom, it'd be the one who, without a doubt, is the biggest insult to humanity ever. Gaz.
As such...I don't feel TOO bad about this. She really is an awful person. If you like her and want to make her a protagonist, fine, but she really doesn't "work" as a protagonist because she's not empathetic, not sympathetic in comparison to, say, Zim (who's constant failures and his concern for his companions make him kinda endearing) or Dib (the only one on the show with a conscience and a brain), is cruel, selfish-oh, you know all that if you've ready any of the Karma Circle stories.
So really, Gaz-as-Protagonists-We're-Meant-To-Agree-With stories...I never like reading them because they

Welcome, children. Welcome…to the KARMA CIRCLE.
I speak to you now of things beyond the normal, of places and people beyond the scopes of what you may find comfortable. I speak this day of the creeping horrors that lie under your beds, in the farthest reaches of your most desecrated homes. I speak to you of the terrifying terrors you fear in the furthest corner of your eye, lying just out of sight, unseen, but still felt.
Horror. Suspense. The atmosphere of FEAR. And I speak today of one who has no idea of what horrors they’re soon to encounter. One who has wantonly wasted opportunities to better herself and the lives of others. She thinks herself above such “petty” things because she thinks herself above all. And she’s going to pay a price for her hubris.
Pride. It is the greatest of all sins. When one goes from “I have done well, and all is well”…to “What an amazing person I am to have done that”. And Gazlene Mem

Okay, ladies and gentlemen! It's time for me to go over my personal best IZ fanfics. Now, first of all, a lot of them that aren't really centered around more specific "things" in the Invader Zim fandom like, say, "ZADR" or "Zim and Dib Romance", so I'm just gonna get that out of the way. And believe me, it wasn't easy to determine which of the HUNDREDS of fanfictions I've read for the IZ realm that deserved this, but eventually after a long time, after long thought and contemplation...I settled on these stories below.
So without further ado, let's get started!
The story is fairly simple...at least, at first. Zim's PAK begins to malfunction. But then when he tries to get it repaired, what happens instead is he ends up seeing ghosts. More specifically, the ghost of a young child who tragically died and who must solve the unfinished business keeping her there as she tries to find help. M

Welcome, my children. Welcome…to the Karma Circle.
Space…the final frontier. Ever illusive, eternally desirable. The stars are warm and inviting to people across the universe, looking so appealing, so enticing. They yearn to be…out there. But for some…it’s not by choice. No. It’s because they’ve nothing left back home. They’ve burned all bridges.
There can be great accomplishment and great good to be found in the unknown, if one is willing to make the attempt. If you work hard and are noble and decent, you will succeed. But above all, you need to remember…you’re in a large sandbox. You didn’t make the rules.
So you need to PLAY.
And if you DON’T, well…
Don’t say you weren’t warned.
They’d almost finished with the loading, the planet Pokitaru soon to be far, far away once they were all set. Outside their little space frigate, Skoodge the Irken sighed, tapping his booted foo

He glared darkly at his reflection in the mirror, his eyes glittering. He'd been through many, many things in his life. But nothing quite like this. This hit him deeply. This offended him.
Ten years later than he should have been, he was angry.
He had been teased before. He had been mocked before. He had been insulted and SLANDERED before. But nothing quite bothered him like this. And he realized he wanted to get even.
It had all started so simply
Junior von Hamsterviel let out a long yawn, stretching his arms as he sat in his office. He'd spent an all-nighter signing new bills into law that would close up tax loopholes that certain senators used to avoid paying the right amount of taxes. No more off shore accounts for them. The military budget was already as bloated as a cow. His Federation was going to be centered around defensive tactics, diplomacy, and disaster relief. This was going
