Wrath of Derpy aka: Derpy's RevengeI was just looking through my pony archives and something occurred to me that I'm not certain has been explored yet. In lesson Zero when all the ponies are fighting over Smarty Pants, Derpy is in an aggressive grapple with Mayor Mare... Might the destruction of Ponyville Town Hall not have been an 'accident'?
I mean... she did seem fairly pleased with herself while pleading ignorance of knowing 'what went wrong.'
This changes my views on some things.

“And that’s it!”
“That doesn’t seem like a lot. Especially if we’re splitting them three ways.”
Sweetie Belle took what she assumed to be her third of the rubber bands and looked at the diminutive pile. She imagined the jump from the top of Carousel Boutique, followed by the snapping of the elastic, the fall, and the gruesome crash. She winced. “Maybe sis has some more lying around. I can bring them by tomorrow morning.”
Apple Bloom split the remaining pile in half, and made a face. She was little, but she was still an Earth pony, and a growing one, at that. She was going to need more than this. “Ah can chec

Trixie groaned and stretched as she woke up. Her legs felt like lead. Opening her eyes revealed a familiar ceiling. It was the middle of the night, a half moon providing only just enough light to see by. Trixie wondered if she could go more than a week without passing out anytime soon. She glanced up as if to see her own forehead, and focused for a moment. Sure enough, a pale blue light emanated from her horn.
"Hah hah!" she shouted in excitement. A murmur caught her attention. She looked over and found Fluttershy asleep on her stool, just like a week ago. Trixie smiled and chuckled. She gazed on at Fluttershy for a moment, before a small part of her reminded her of her situation. Her smile turned into a deep frown. She forced herself out of bed on the far side from Fluttershy.
"I've taken enough from you." Trixie whispered. Her horn continued to glow as she enveloped Fluttershy in a magical aura. She gently lifted Fluttershy from her seat and pulled back the covers. She slid

The next morning, Fluttershy and Trixie shared a breakfast of oatmeal again. Trixie found it easier to get around and ate almost an entire bowlful. She realized most of her original wounds were healing nicely, and while her side was tender it wasn't painful to move, usually.
"The others will want to know you're up." Fluttershy said. Trixie glanced down at the floor.
"Will they really care?"
"They're my friends too." Fluttershy responded. Trixie nodded, understanding what she meant.
"Shall we... go out?" Trixie asked. Fluttershy paused.
"Are you...are you sure? They could come..."
"Trixie has healed excellently under such adept care." she smiled at Fluttershy, who blushed slightly in response. "Besides," Trixie said softly, "she promises not to exert herself. She doesn't want to spend a single day more bedridden."
"Okay. A day out would be...nice." Fluttershy smiled. Trixie nodded and waited as Fluttershy cleaned up breakfast. They made their way to the door. That same rabbit

Trixie awoke slowly, feeling an odd peace about her that she hadn't felt in a long, long time. Her entire body tingled pleasantly, her muscles were entirely relaxed, and she found a smile on her face. She stretched a little and opened her eyes.
Almost immediately her mood fouled. There was less light than last time, but she could still make out the same yellow ceiling as before. She quickly remembered where she was and why. That pegasus, she had... tricked Trixie. Tricked her into accepting food and aid, Trixie realized. She wasn't sure what exactly the pegasus had done wrong. But the indignity of it infuriated her.
Trixie looked herself over and gasped slightly. Her body was more bandages than not, her legs entirely covered and several pads held to her sides with medical tape. She realized her muscles were relaxed thank to several damp clothes placed around her shoulders and hips. She shook them off and immediately regretted it, yelping as her bandages rubbed and made her aw

Trixie found the days passed by quickly and peacefully from there. She began to develop a routine. By the time she awoke Fluttershy was making breakfast, typically oatmeal, a warm and filing meal that started the day right. Trixie would take her mornings easy, still recuperating. She had gotten her books back from Twilight, and would review them, often in the garden if the weather held. She would then usually accompany Fluttershy into town in the afternoon, having lunch with her or just taking the chance to stretch her legs. She began to fill out little by little, her coat gleamed once more, and she regained her former energy. Only one thing stood between her and true health. That was why, nearly a week since her first visit, Trixie found herself in the Ponyville library again, Twilight Sparkle staring at her.
"Absolutely no magic?"
"None at all." Trixie shook her head. Twilight frowned.
"What happens if you try?"
Trixie shuddered. "Nausea. Trixie would rather leave it at tha

Trixie made her way down the stairs unsteadily the next morning, feeling rested but hungry. She realized as she walked down that she was being watched. Looking around, she found a white rabbit standing on a small end table, glaring at her. It made her feel unwelcome, but Trixie just glared back at it.
"Do not mess with Trixie, rabbit, or she may make you part of her next routine."
The rabbit did not look amused. A noise distracted her, and Trixie looked up to realize the birdhouses hanging from the ceiling were occupied, small sparrows talking to one another from their houses.
"What kind of house is this?" Trixie just stared on. Another bird emerged from a larger house. It was a robin that began to whistle a tune. To Trixie's surprise, a silky voice sang back, wordlessly, in perfect key.
"Good morning- oh, Trixie!" Fluttershy entered the room from the kitchen. Trixie realized she had a light blush on her face and immediately scolded herself. Why was she blushing?

It took Twilight forever to fall asleep, the incident playing over and over in her head, the same mixture of sensations and frustrations just memories now but nevertheless still raw and sensitive. But at last she fell into a fitful sleep, hot and uncomfortable but empty of dreams...
....until she awoke to the sound of the windows clattering open and the rustling of the curtains against the drapery of her bed.
She drew her head slowly out from under the covers to see that the whole room was lit up by silver-blue light pouring in from the now open window. The mirror had turned into a pool of quicksilver and the brass handles and hinges of the furniture were sparkling as if they had been doused in glitter.
Twilight climbed out of bed, her eyes glued to the beam of light piercing the room, and took a few nervous steps towards the window. She had closed it, hadn't she? There was no way sh

Neither of the other two Elements present at the party had manifested a focus for their power, which made it all the more troublesome that the pink mare had apparently called hers forth. The Element of Laughter had told her to lighten up, perhaps it was just something that happened whenever they were embodying their nature to its fullest extent. After having studied the Elements for so long under Celestia's orders she'd surely have some sort of explanation for it, especially if it was innate magic like that of a unicorn. She was so lost in thought that she collided with something soft and purple. She blinked and found herself face to face with Twilight's flank. Twilight turned to look at her, eyebrow raised. Twilight suppressed a squeal of delight. The Princess had missed her? Oh, the things she wanted to say in reply but all she could was blush crimson and whisper, in a voice embarrassingly heavy with emotion: "I've missed you too, Princess "
"It's such a shame that you can't stay in your old tower," Celestia continued as they passed a series of huge stained-glass windows interspersed with tapestries thousands of years old portraying the history of Equestria. "I'm afraid the renovations are really quite untimely."

Luna's Best Night Ever: 2The hallways were always empty right after the sunrise, with ponies scurrying about in their rooms preparing for the day ahead or climbing into their beds after a long shift attending to the princess of the night. It was warm and comfortable to wear during the cold morning hours, but she felt it indecent to be caught wearing it by anyone besides Celly. "Bah, I should've known." The princess of the moon sulked, staring at her teacup. Across the table from her, her older sister sighed and sipped her tea before continuing. These mornings didn't give them a lot of time to bond, and she felt all the worse when they spent that time fighting. At least alone as they were in Celestia's study Luna could be convinced to speak candidly.
"It's not that I don't want to spend more time with you, you know that." Celestia said gently. Her little sister was having none of it, and she looked up from her tea with a glare.
"It's just that you've got more important things to get to than your own sister." her words were sharp, but Celestia didn't cringe.
"Now Luna, that isn't fair. I think you're overreacting."
"Oh yes, we wouldn't want that to happen." Luna replied, rolling her eyes.
Celestia kept her expression calm. On the inside howeve

Rainbow Dash stood at the end of the cloud-colonnade and looked over the edge, gazing down towards the surface of Equestria far below her. Tears fell steadily from her rose eyes and she watched as each tear spiralled down through the night air until it disappeared. It would be so easy to just fall forwards, to keep her wings furled tight against her sides, and to just spiral down to the earth herself until she disappeared as well!
It was then that she felt somepony approaching her along the colonnade, from the direction of Cloudsdale Flight School's hall where the Autumn Sky Ball was coming to an end. She didn't turn her head, but sobbed and rubbed the tears from her eyes.
"Just go away!" she whispered harshly at the unseen newcomer. "Can't you see I just want to be alone?"

After weeks of cloud-free summer weather, the pools in Froggy Bottom Swamp were almost completely dried up and the eggs that the poor little frogs who lived there had laid had just hatched! Oh, what was she going to do without Rainbow's help? She didn't know anything about changing the weather!

"Now now, it was her vegetable garden after all. If you're ever hungry, come see me, okay?" Fluttershy responded, patient as ever. She gave the badger back his paw and the creature wandered off. Fluttershy smiled and looked around. Today was just a perfect day in her mind. The sun had warmed the hill she sat on, making it all the more comfortable as she tended to the creatures that came to her for aid. She preferred to tend to them in her hut, where she could thoroughly clean and care for any wound or problem, but many wild animals weren't all that comfortable indoors, and she did her best to accommodate them.

Twilight Sparkle gave a long sigh as she sat peering over a tall stack of books in her library home one day. She was bored. She had absolutely nothing planned and none of her usual books were keeping her attention. To make it even worse, Spike was off to Canterlot for a couple days again, so there wasn't even anyone to talk to. Not very long ago she would have relished the solitude as a chance to get some serious reading done, but after coming to Ponyville and making so many great friends now it just felt kind of lonely.
Still, she was sure she could find at least some book to keep her interested. There just had to be something. If the usual stuff wasn't working, maybe she just needed to look at something different, something she hadn't read before? This was a library after all; there were still a lot of books she had never read on a lot of topics she still didn't know anything about. Moving languidly to her shelves, Twi

But none of the ponies inside could hear any of it: all they could hear was the soft sobbing of their friend, and her desperate, unanswered prayers. It had been many many pony generations since the clacking and clattering of young hooves had regularly enlivened the halls of Canterlot Castle, and Princess Celestia knew it. Even in the best of times there was more arthritic creakings of limbs from stiff and stiffening old diplomats and dignitaries than ponies at play, and sometimes she wondered if the life were going out of the old place.
But now the hammer and nails had come out and the constant buzz and flutter of pegasuses around the old south tower had stirred in the Princess memories of livelier days of fun and play in the wide marble halls, and that is how an invitation made its way from her study to the Ponyville Publick Library. The Princess had spent many weeks anticipating her student's arrival and the evening finally came late on

Luna wondered whether her sister was using her pranks and outrageousness as a coping mechanism or a punishment. Possibly both, she mused, a hoof resting on the suitcase where her own coping mechanism lay. Her ears glittered with diamond earrings and the necklace at her throat sparkled. Dash had never seen a filly look more stunning. She blushed as she took the hoof Star Catcher offered her and they stepped together through the huge doors that led into the great hall of Cloudsdale Flight School.
The roof of the hall was open to the air and the weather had been expressly designed for the evening's celebration. A sliver of a moon shone down through layers of stratus clouds that lit up in its soft light like a veil of glowing yellow-silver. Gorgeous banks of cumulus surrounded them, and illuminated by the last rays of the setting sun their undersides were aglow,
