Strong and brave and fair;
Fierce they are and proud,
Tall and dark of hair;
Filled with passion and iron of will,
A two edged sword this can be.
Never do they turn aside from their propose,
From no enemy do they flee.
Ache their hands do to craft and create,
Beloved of the Smith are they.
Burn their minds do for knowledge,
But into folly they sometimes stray.
Lovers of hills and open lands,
The Watchtower their first home.
Many other glorious kingdoms did they build,
Seven High Kings they have known.

Author's Note: Do you think the dark lords also deserve some love? Have you been searching for fanfiction with Melkor and Sauron? In this story of the two greatest villains of Arda, we will lead you through the main Melkor-relevant events of Silmarillion, beginning with Morgoth's triumphant return to Angband with the Silmarils, through the consequences of the taxing battle with Fingolfin and the troublesome Quest for the Silmaril, finally taking you all the way to Dagor Dagorath... and beyond.
During the course of this story you will see Melkor risen high and fallen deep and you will learn a thing or two about the loyalty of the Maiar. There will be moments sad and serious and those quite funny as well.

Its doors always shut,
Its hammering echoing with an emptiness
That revealed nothing.
My mother hoisted me on her shoulders
And inside the stained-glass windows
I saw my father, hammering away,
A smile on his face, a frozen flame within his eyes,
But I could never see
His life’s work.
Though gifts he gave me plenty
Sword and spear and mighty mace
But best I loved the hammer,
For it is used in war and in peace
In creation and in destruction
And surrounded by a mystery I could not bear
I clung on.
My grandfather loved me most,
For I am his younger form, and I had a chance
To start anew
With no competition
No usurpers of the throne.
And my talent, he said, is as boundless as the ocean,
Stronger than the tide, brighter than the Trees
But I looked at grandfather’s creations
And I smiled and shook my head
And Fëanáro tossed his head back,
Laughed, and told my father he has taught me well.
My grandfather once

Initially, the news that one of the sons of Fëanor was riding into the refugee settlement at the Mouths of Sirion caused something of a panic. Every few minutes, one of the terrified Falathrim or Sindar would come bursting through the door of Círdan the Shipwright, crying, "They have come for the Silmarils! We're all going to die!" and continuing to babble in that vein until Círdan calmly pointed out that it was highly unlikely, considering that no one there had any Silmarils in the first place. This continued for a good hour, until a messenger bearing the Fëanorian star arrived at the aforementioned door with a rather strange m

"They were just children!" Elwing shrieked, viciously pushing her cousin away.
"Elwing " Celeborn attempted to console his young relative, but she refused to be comforted.
"You left them! You left and now they're gone." The young elith collapsed on the ground, sobbing. She clutched her stomach, fighting the physical agony which assailed her. Agony and guilt. She should have been there. She should have made certain her brothers were following. She should not have left them.
The attack happened so fast she could barely separate the jumbled, nightmarish events, but it seemed like slow motion at the time. The elves of Doriath knew that a battle with the sons of Feanor was possible. Elwing's father, King Dior refused to relinquish the silmaril he had inherited from his parents. They were prepared to defend Doriath, but they were not prepared for the savage brutality of the Noldor. The Noldor killed without conscience.
She remembered being kissed by her mother. She remembered her f

Common Phrases in Sindarin
Sindarin is technically not a functional language, there are so many words missing. Simple words are just simply non-existant. But there is some help for the language, it's a beautiful, poetic, and its in Lord of the Rings for goodness sake.
If there are any phrases that you would like to see me translate, feel free to contact me and I will add them to the list.

Bagginshield: Moments Captured in Travel (Ch. II)The Dwarves quickly noticed that Bilbo was becoming their leader's favorite member of the Company. Thorin would walk with him as they trekked through the forest, helping his shorter companion over roots and rocks, catching him by the elbow when he stumbled. At night, the Dwarf Lord would be sure to save the Hobbit a spot by the fire, and assemble his bedroll in close proximity to the other's. In fact, since their run-in with the Pale Orc, Thorin was rarely seen apart from his burglar.Bagginshield: Moments Captured in Travel (Ch. II)2 years ago in Romance More Like This
And of course, there was the incident that a few of the Company had witnessed the morning they left the Great Shelf; as they packed their supplies and made ready to move out, Bilbo was seen passing Thorin a bundle that was quickly recognizable as the Dwarf's own fur cloak. The little Hobbit was smiling and blushing, and the Dwarf King was careful not to make eye contact as he swung the garment over his shoulders and handed the burglar a pack of provisions. This exchange, along with their leader's actions

Since he'd actually seen the rose, seen how many petals had already fallen and how quickly, it wouldn't leave his mind. Even reading with Hanana wasn't the same anymore; he wasn't fully there, his mind was divided between her and the story, and his situation.
It wasn't very easy or pleasant to think about. Firstly, there was himself...rather, what he was now. He couldn't say he hated it, not really. It took getting used to, and he couldn't say he completely didn't mind it...but it was alright. A few years of solitude and he felt fine being alone. And it had its benefits, he supposed...he usually didn't feel pain, not til yesterday, he healed quickly, he could go anywhere during a snowstorm and be fine (heatwaves were another story, but it was merely unpleasant, not deadly, which was another plus). And while he didn't always use them--actually, he rarely used them at all in the past few years, but the odd freezing powers were nice. Even if he didn't fr
