It was very quiet. The gunfire had died down. There were no mechanical roars. It was beautiful but frightening at the same time. When the red energy erupted from the Citadel, it caused every reaper to fall over and die. Their corpses littered earth's surface and her orbit. Despite the war, earth was in relatively good shape. Major city centres were destroyed, but some remained as well as hundreds, if not thousands, of smaller cities, towns and factory districts that remained fairly intact.
The sacrifice required to defeat the reapers was immense. The geth immediately deactivated when the red energy wave passed through them leaving just their husks behind. The mass relay system was destroyed leaving the entire hammer and sword army stranded on and above earth. Though this was not the first thought on everyone's mind. Right now they won a war against an almost invincible enemy. The main focus was finding survivors, recording the names of dead, and figuring out what to d

Without seeing anybody
Breathing hard like
Everyday could be the last
Blood and mud are covering his face
Wounds are all over his body
He's looking for safety
But he's trapped like in a maze
His body seeks rest
But his mind is unstoppable
Motivated by his lost brothers
But pain is sticking like a thorn in his chest
His eyes are full of tears
By seeing all these young men
Laying next to each other
With on their faces their worst fears
Not knowing there will be a tomorrow
He's trying to remind who he was
A son, a father, a brother and a friend
But thinking of his past fills him with sorrow
Pain is stuck in his head
Like the unspoken memories
That keeps replaying in his mind
And chasing him till dead

Emile held his shot gun at the ready as he slowly crept down the hallway, Jun and Thom close behind him. He had been using the dog's blood trail to find what had attacked it earlier. As they walked farther, Jun pointed to something in the distance. When they walked up to it, Jun almost threw up his lunch.
They had found the missing dog or what was left of it. It's bloody skeleton still had bits of flesh and fur hanging onto it. Due to the fact that the corpse was still steaming Emile knew that whatever had did this it was still here
There was a loud squeal that caused the SPARTANs to jerk around to another dark hallway. To their amazement, there were over twenty grunts fleeing past for their life, failing to notice the gawking enemy. Emile took the liberty of shooting sixteen of them, but then grabbed one around its neck and picked it up so that they were eye to eye.

Liara T'Soni-Shepard exits her skycar into the pouring rain, the gunmetal-grey skies blocking out the sun. She wears a simple black dress and carries a bouquet of white flowers from Thessia. The grieving doctor doesn't bother with an umbrella, instead letting the rain wash over her skin, mixing with her tears. She begins her slow walk towards the large group of people crowded underneath a wide awning, when suddenly a hand grips her shoulder reassuringly, and the rain stops. Looking over her shoulder, she finds Garrus holding an umbrella over her, his expression unreadable. He nods to her, his grip speaking volumes as he guides her towards the crowd. As they near the group, Liara notices that nearly everyone has shown up today.
Admiral Ashley Williams, clad in her dress blues, stands alongside Major James Vega along with a small platoon of Alliance men and women. High Chief Wrex, clad in his ceremonial armor, stands with his wife

Joker stretched out in his chair, his hands for once not flying over the controls. The Normandy was currently docked at the Citadel allowing the crew a short shore leave. Kara had also promised Gardner she would look into picking up more provisions for the crew. The last trip had increased his popularity with the others once he started working with high quality foods instead of military rations, so both he and Shepard wanted to make sure that it continued.
"Gods, fighting through the crowds in the Wards can be such a pain in the ass," Kara griped as she slid an arm around Joker's shoulders.
"Why do you think I said I was staying put?" he grinned at her.

"I tried, Shepard." The Illusive Man said, as he placed the barrel of his pistol to his head and pulled the trigger.
His limp body fell onto the floor, and Shepard watched as his cold, steel-blue eyes went dark.
" Shepard!...-an you me?" Admiral Hackett's voice filled her head.
"This is Shepard, what is it Admiral?" She said into her radio, her free hand putting pressure on her wound. This was all too surreal; almost three years ago she had the same conversation with Saren, the rogue Turian Spectre who has become indoctrinated by the Reaper Sovereign. She was able to convince Saren of his indoctrination, but like the Illusive Man, he was far too gone.

Shepard walked along the beach the warm sand under her feet. She walked towards the water letting it rush around her feet and ankles.
"Mommy! Mommy!" shouted a little voice. "Look what I found!"
She turned her head to see her son, a little barefaced tan turian who couldn't be more than four years old, running towards her. He was holding a huge shell in his hands and he extended it out to her.
"Oh wow, it's beautiful baby," she exclaimed.
"I got it for you!"
"I love it! Thank you so much."
His face was beaming with pride at his mother's reaction. He turned back and yelled, "Mommy loves it!"
Shepard looked up to see who her son was shouting to. Her eyes locked with the piercing blue eyes of the turian approaching Garrus. He walked up beside her and put his arm around her waist.
Garrus chuckled, "We were down in that cove for hours trying to find the perfect one. He w

Shepard took up a holo conference with the Illusive Man. Shepard was upset to discover that he lured the Collectors to the colony because he was not willing to wait any longer for them to strike. Bastard! He assured Shepard that no other colonies would be sacrificed and that he would find a way for them to successfully pass through the Omega 4 relay; the gateway used by the Collectors. No other ship had gone through the relay and return safely. The Illusive Man encouraged Shepard to continue building her team and gave her three more dossiers.
Shepard set a course for Illium; two of her candidates were at that location. Kill two birds with one stone.
They docked at Nos Astra and Shepard didn't waste any time heading out, Garrus and Jack in tow. As they left the docking bay they were approached by a concierge. "Welcome to Nos Astra Commander Shepard. We've

They fought through the Collectors, pushing their way further into the colony. They came across an unharmed colonist, a mechanic named Delan. "You need to get the laser towers operational! It's our only chance!" he told Shepard.
They fought their way to the tower, through a mass attack of husks. These husks weren't made here, the Collectors brought them with them. What is going on?! Shepard and her squad finally made it to the tower and got it online but the lasers needed time to charge. "Damn it! We've got to defend this position!" They held off swarm after swarm. C'mon! Shepard made her way up to the bridge to see a very excited Joker before her.
"Hey, Commander! Check out my copilot!" said Joker as he looked over at EDI.
"Is this why you called me up here? Seriously, Joker?"
"Oh sorry, did I interrupt something?" he snickered.
"Shut up. Anyways, about EDI so she just installed herself into that new body without any help from you?"
"Come on, Commander. Don't you trust me?"
Shepard crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at him.
Joker chuckled, "Okay, let me put it this way: if I knew that EDI was gonna install herself into a sexy robot body, do you honestly think I'd be able to keep quiet about it? Look at that! I would've baked a cake!"
"I am right here, Jeff" said EDI.
"Yes you are, EDI. Yes you are," he sighed.
Shepard laughed, "Wow are you even capable of flying this ship anymore without being completely distracted?"
"Please! I could handle the Normandy with my eyes closed."

You two were pressed tightly, mixing breath until your arched slightly to place your head on his shoulder. The space was confined and a shift made McCoy lightly press into you. He tried to lock his elbows in place but that wouldn't work, he'd be more liable to break his arms then stop himself.
"If I was you, darlin', I'd be less concerned with the speed and more concerned about when it'll stop. I'm gettin' dizzy."
You rolled your eyes briefly, secretly revelling in the way McCoy's gruff voice began to sway in his southern accent. He couldn't see your blatant show of exasperation and he locked a leg with yours. You were about to question it when you felt the small tremor. It had become a sign of a bigger one.
You subconsciously held McCoy flushed against you, making the doctor do the same back.

Kirk glanced from the aliens who so far had no ill-intent. As a return for McCoy's help to save their people from a virus, they were offering all they could. It wasn't much, and the Kirk had refused everything up to now.
A room with holographic capabilities. The aliens were insistent they borrow it for awhile, and left the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise before it. McCoy sat down in a nearby couch, and Chekov eventually joined him. Once Kirk sat down, Sulu considered that permission to also sit. He sat on the armrest next to Chekov, leaning partly on the Russian.
"Ve could try it out, Keptin."
The Russian spoke up almost shyly, and Kirk glanced at Sulu and McCoy who were still staring at the door.
"Any other opinions?"
"It could be fun,"
Sulu shrugged lightly but was hoping the captain would give them permission to try it out. To make their imagination real, no programming beforehand needed. Just to think of a scenario and let it play out.

Kirk spun around on his heel, leaping quickly over some rubble to grab your hand. He held it firmly, yanking you towards him. The alien being hissed and pulled harder, almost yanking your arm out of your socket. Their skeletal and muscle structure made them strong enough to do that even in their humanoid form. Deep blue, rough skin made scratch marks against your skin and you tried to fight them.
Your feet dug into the crevice-filled ground, patches of rock the only thing to stand in the dark and ever so present pools of water. The humanoids aliens were trying to drag you into the water. To eat you, as they had done with the science team previously here. Deceitful bastards.
You felt a cold and wet hand go around your neck, trying to choke you.
"Sulu, shoot it!"
Kirk stood precariously on a higher ledge, trying to pull you up. His shout didn't go unheard, as his own phaser had been tossed into the murky waters from a previous fight. A blast went off my Sulu and Chekov, and K

For it had recently come to his attention that one of his guards had been seen doing something that, needless to say, had surprised the stallion a great deal.
Poison - Chapter 1The dark alleys of Gotham City, the perfect place for a well-known criminal to hide. I looked down from above the city walls, searching into the shadows. Catching sight from a flick of movement, I glided off the tall building and spread my large, black, bat-like wings into the night, landing gracefully in a crouch on the ground. As the miserable rain dripped down my suit, I switched on the sonar mapping system which was built inside my cowl and walked slowly down the gloomy alley in pursuit of my lead. I noticed a piece of metal stuck to the ground which seemed to be out of place with the rest of the world. Reaching down, I saw it was the handle to a hidden trap door, attached to it a single strand of curly green hair. My eyes lit up. ''Gotcha this time.'' I smiled.
