I Am LoveI'm a warm ball of fuzz for you to take home.I Am Love4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I'm a hundred pounds of future growth.
I'm big brown eyes that make you smile.
I'm a little puddle on the kitchen tile.
I'm a wiggly butt when you come in the room.
I'm your favorite pillow's emminent doom.
I'm your personal guardian watching you sleep.
I'm a stain on your coat, two muddy feet.
I'm a belly rub of absolute bliss.
I'm a stinky wet 'Good morning' kiss.
I'm every hug you'll ever need.
I'm not exactly...pedigree.
I'm a pair of perked ears waiting for you.
I'm a handful of unwanted drool.
I'm a lifetime friend who hopes they're enough.
I'm shaped like a dog but really I'm love.
MonstersIt lies within your closetMonsters4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
And it creeps beneath your bed
It stalks you in the hallways
And it's not all in your head
It lurks over your body
And follows you everywhere
It creeps on you like a hunter
No other monster can compare
It doesn't play favorites
It doesn't have a specific prey
The young, the bad and the innocent
Are all for it to slay
There is no telling when it will emerge
It could arise at any moment
You see, death is all around us
And no one's immune to it

There are no secrets while you're dreaming.
This is only a dream. I dont dream in colors. I dont dream in black and white. I dream in symbolism. I dream in ways that make you think. Ways that would give you a headache. These are the things that come easily to me. Imagine dreaming about all the things you dont understand. Now imagine dreaming about the things only you can understand. That is what this is. This is all the things we hide. I do not expect you to know what this means. This is something I've never told anyone. This is who I'm not, who I want to be and who I am. This is what I use to see while I slept. I'd wake up in a sweat.
The girl in this story is you. She is all of us. This is you at your most honest. This is you as you lay awake at night playing the day through your head, thinking about what you should've done or said.
This is the girl in my

I can’t hide forever. Either he will divert from his path and discover us or the others he’s with will come back. Regardless, anything changes in this situation and we're done.

There’s a whimper and I try not to make a sound of my own. The baby I came to rescue is stirring in the carrier on my lap. I can see his lips twitching, his head beginning to shift. I find the pacifier in the seat and hold it up to his lips. He opens his mouth automatically and takes the offering.
Ten. Eleven. Twelve.
My heart thuds in my chest. Fourteen is the scariest number, because at step number fourteen,

She came for no reason. Just to say hi.
The other children begin to make fun.
'Look how quickly to Gramma you run!'
The boy hugs his gran and turns with a smile.
'When did you see yours? Has it been a while?
A few stop to think. The boy just sighs.
'I know a few of you. I know yours died.'
These mentioned hang their heads.
The rest glance their way, faces red.
The grandma's face is filled with silent pride.
The boy reaches up to wipe tears from her eyes.
He holds her hand and steadies its shake.
'What if morning come she failed to wake?'
That very same evening, grandma passed away.
Not one person knew it was her final day.
Let this be a thought to all to pass on again.
What was the last thing you said in the end?
