The sun was beginning to set on the horizon and Ty Lee watched with a smile gracing her lips. Strong arms were wrapped around her slim waist and a solid body stood behind her, drinking in the sight.
"It's beautiful, isn't 'Zula?" Ty Lee questioned while snuggling deeper into the body behind her. Azula could only grunt in response, she didn't think it was beautiful. It was just a sunset, the ending of another day.
"Come on, say it's beautiful!" Ty Lee playfully urged while turning around and lightly poking the Fire Nation princess in the shoulder. Azula had one eyebrow raised in question and Ty Lee could only giggle.
"It's not beautiful if you see something else that's even more beautiful everyday." The words spoken were the truth and Azula smirked as a look of confusion worked its way onto Ty Lee's face.

I meant it when I said you were the most beautiful, smartest, perfect girl in the world.
And people should worship you. I know I do.
I swear, for as well as you can read people, you sure are dense sometimes. Its not like I even try to hide it from you.
At first, I thought you were just ignoring me. But today I saw something in you that made me think differently: you honestly just dont realize how I feel about you or why I do the things I do.
I was trying to make you jealous, not actually snag a boyfriend.
I saw you look over at me on the beach when that boyI dont even think I got his namewas setting up all my stuff. When I went to meet your eye, you looked away. I knew I hit a nerve.
I saw you watching me at the partyso clearly out of your element. I always loved how confident you are, but tonight you showed another side that s

The cell he's in is also dark and he could barely see what's in front of him. All he could hear was the jeers of those who were his friends and comrades. He hears the metal door of his cell open. Suddenly, someone grabbed him roughly and made him sit up. Then, he removed the stockades and made his arms go forward.
The next thing Kakuzu felt was burning pain in his wrists as they branded them. He screams at the pain and his comrades just laugh at him.
All Kakuzu felt was pain, grief, and rage.
He wants to kill them all.
Kakuzu suddenly jolted up in his bed, breathing heavily and in cold sweat. He then sighed as he unconsciously rubbed his wrists.
He had that nightmare again.
That nightmare when he was in jail in Takigakure. It's been decades since he got out. He should be over it by now. Why cant he get over

As the sun rose, the rays of light coming through the window slowly crept across the sleeping figure, lighting up his golden locks when the sun danced off it. When the suns yellow gaze eventually made it up to Deidara's sleeping face he squinted as the sudden intrusion on his peaceful slumber. Slowly he began to open his baby blue eyes still groggy from the nights sleep, when realization finally struck he turned his head to the side to look at the digital clock which rested on his bedside table.
"Shoot, un! I'm going to be late!" quickly throwing himself out of bed he hurriedly got dressed, ran a brush through his long blonde hair, tied a section of it up into his signature ponytail and then the recent academy graduate was off to work.

Chapter Sixteen, Part A
A/N: This chapter is HUGE -- so I apologize ahead of time for all of the grammatical mistakes. Also, it was too large for DA's allotted text size submission, so I had to break it up into two parts.
Gai was careful to not make too much noise as he shut Hani's door. It wouldn't take much to wake her up and it was his job, as ranking ninja and mission leader to ensure she was in top form and got plenty of rest. He adjusted his grip on her and couldn't help but grin as she moaned disapprovingly at being shifted.
Gai carried her carefully to the bed; the only sound being a soft "swish" from the movement of his hakama pants. Before placing her on the mattress he took a moment to observe her. He marveled at how small she was -- shorter than any of his students. He tested her weight -- she was lighter than all of them too. She was as light as a bird and probably just as delicate as one too. He lifted his arm wh

I`m now 22 years old and I'm in an organization called the Akatsuki. I have a stupid partner named Kakuzu, to me he looks like a voodoo doll because he`s got all those stitches on his body and on his face, that's why he wears a mask and clothes all the time. Well I'm not going to tell you about my birth and what not that's all boring so I`m going to skip to when I was 6 years old, my parent had just died and their last words were go life with Lord Goto and so I did. Everyone thought I was the son of one of the great kages but as you can see I`m not, it all started on a Sunday afternoon I was reading one of my Jashin books. They come and go, some more popular than others. Oh hi! I'm Zetsu, but you can call me freak. That's what I should say, because that's what they'll do. I'm a freak, that's the way I was made. I was made with yellow eyes. I was made with skin, half black, half white. I was made with green hair. That's the way I was made. I'm a freak.
Today, I turn 7, but there is no party. There are no clowns on balloons to entertain the children, friends. There are no friends. There are no gifts. Today is a day like all the others, a day full of hatred. Oh, the beast is seven? That's good, one year closer to dying. That's what they'll say if I tell them.

"Okaeri, Nii-sama," Kiku greeted his older brother as he heard the door close shut and the shuffling sound of dragging feet. "Welcome home."
"Hmm, you're early," Yao muttered, leaning against the door frame to the kitchen. "What are you doing here anyway, aru? Aren't you supposed to be devising plans to ambush the Allied Forces with your new friends?"
Kiku ignored his brother's sarcasm. "I thought Nii-sama might be tired after the meeting, so I decided I would cook tonight."
"I can cook for myself, aru."
"I can do it." Then he added lightly, "It's not like I'm going to poison it or anything."
"Hm." But the chocolate-haired Chinese did not utter a complaint. Instead he flew himself down on the futon in the living room adjacent to the kitchen. He had a clear view through the frame of the door. The short, jet black-haired man's back was to him as he busily cut awa

As the Chinese nation turned to walk away however, he heard something that made him stop. A piano? He glanced at Japan's house. When had he learned to play the piano? Yao hadn't even known he owned a piano!
He stood staring indecisively at the door for a moment or two before sighing, quietly opening it and stepping inside. Yes, the music was definitely coming from inside Kiku's house. He knew it was rude, but he couldn't help it, curiosity got the best of him and he continued into the house, following the sound of the music.
He gasped when he saw Japan sitting at a piano. He couldn't help it, it was always his reaction to the man. Plus, this was the closest he had been to him outside of meetings for a long time. Usually he d

"Alfred's out," Arthur said, taking the hot drink Kiku had offered him across the bamboo table. Kiku glanced up with chocolate eyes through jet black hair.
"We can't take Russia alone."
"We are not alone, Mr. Arthur. We can do it if we work together!"
"You misunderstand me. We received intel that Russia and China are not at war anymore. Quite the opposite, infact."
Kiku's hands shook in the folds of his yukata. "What are you saying?"
"Ivan Braginski and Wang-Yao have joined forces, believed to be in light of the recent formation of a romantic relationship."
Kiku's cup clattered onto the table. Though the hot tea had warmed his body, he suddenly felt so, so cold on the inside.
Arthur Kirkland leafed through his folder and slid out photos. The Japanese man glanced at them. It was the two of them, alright. Nothing vulgar, of course, but the sentiment could definitely be ther
Fear of ThunderThe thunder cracked loudly as the storm raged on Yao's little house, the walls feeling as if they were trembling from the force. Kiku felt his way through the dark hallway, one handing holding his blanket at his neck, the other sliding on the wall. The young boy, already proud as a lion, had to build up his courage to even think about wandering to Yao for protection, but he couldn't handle being alone much longer. The thunder clapped again and the hallway lit up, the boy's face filling with terror. Kiku pulled the blanket over his head and ran for the older man's room, his bare feet slapping loudly against the wooden flooring.Fear of Thunder4 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
The door flew open and Yao sat up, a small figure jumped onto the bed and landed roughly amongst the blankets before the Chinese could even figure out what had happened. He heard a whimper and the Japanese boy he took care of cuddled close against his, to his dismay, feminine figure. Yao wrapped one arm around the boy, shushing him in a comforting tone. "Shhhh, i

Wang Yao stood in his kitchen stirring some soup he had prepared for himself and his little brother Honda. He cleared the stray hair out of his eyes, while the rest of it sat in a low pony tail. Known more formally as the nation China, Wang hummed to himself. The aroma of the Geng was permeating throughout the house and making some little nation in the other room not focus on his assignment. Japan was told to work on some numbers and letters.
Sprawled out on the floor on a futon mattress, little Honda who wasn't more than five years old was working on his Kanji, or he was supposed to be. He was not enrolled in school yet, but China was very adamant about the nation learning at an early age, and thought education was of extreme importance. "Is he all right?"
The frantic question was all Yao could breath out to the fair-skinned, chestnut girl whom he had nearly barraged into when he erupted through the door.
The dreadful news came to him this morning, during yet another meeting of the Allied Forces. It had reached him before anyone in the room had been able to utter a single word or greeting to the Chinese man. From the triumphant glow from Alfred and the piteous gazes the others had fell on him as he walked into the room, Yao knew. He knew. And it summoned nearly all of his self-restraint from punching that American bastard in the mouth and snarling at the others and wiping the sorry looks off their faces. Instead, he had merely risen quietly from his seat, mumbled a "I must go home" and strode out of the room.
Now he felt as though he was on fire. His lungs burned from running, and sweat dripped down hi

Kiku had known it was a bad idea to begin with. Yao had taught him to stop drawing pictures and to write with kanji, he should have just continued to do that. It was a good method, but it took so long to do that Kiku would quickly get bored. His way, hiragana, was better. Yao was just too proud to accept that Kiku could create something on his own now! He wasn't a child anymore, at least not by normal standards. He was young for a nation, but he was at least fifteen in appearance. In Kiku's hands were a stack of papers which he was writing on. The brush wavered now and then whenever he would wince, causing little mistakes. Whenever he made one he had been instructed to start over.

He reached the end of the road and entered the bamboo forest, heading for his home. He had been living alone for a few years, in a house in the middle of no-where. It was nice and peaceful, but walking through a muddy forest wasn't the best way to spend half an hour. His trousers were caked in mud and he had to hold onto the bamboo to keep himself up. He flicked through these, smiling at the spelling mistakes and how incredible his young imagination had been. Under those boxes were smaller, more battered boxes that Japan barely remembered packing. He got out a small knife and started to cut the rope holding it shut. He got halfway through the rope when it practically disintegrated in his fingers.
