recently, after reorganizing my workspace a bit, i decided it was time for some kind of new art for my desk...so i made some cardboard cutouts of my RO archbishop and her mechanic husband. each one is just under 11" tall.
progress shots, from left to right:
1) rough sketch
2) inked with blue and sepia ink, laying some marker coloring down on top of colored pencil details
3) more coloring
4) colors are done
5) adding darker outlines, line weights, and background areas
6) a bit of white colored pencil detail
after all of that, i cut each one out with scissors and a box cutter (i don't have a decent utility knife lol Q_Q,) went around the cut edges with a brown marker, backed them with cardstock and added some corrugated cardboard stands.
it all took a lot longer than i originally planned, due to not having...almost any of the marker shades i really wanted; i had to do a lot of improvising. but my desk is much cuter now, so it's all good ♥
