I quit my job.I had to. Being stuck in retail hell for years was getting to me. There's only so many times you can deal with disrespectful self-entitled customers daily, especially when you have personal goals and aspirations that have nothing to do with retail or the success of the business you're working so hard for. I'm basically going to keep this as short as I can, as there is no real point dragging this out to be some sort of grandiose fancy-to do or whatever; Basically I have a few announcements, and I'm going to be keeping these as simple as possible:
First, SONIC SOUNDSPEED is no more. Due to the amount of pressure and work that I'd already put into it to get it published, as well as the unnecessary pressure people put on me on a daily basis here on deviantART, I have simply lost interest in making a Sonic fancomic, and have subsequently have stopped creating and writing for it. As it stands, 300 pages of it exists, but to avoid it becoming needlessly glorified or used as a reference or signpost to anything fandom-related whatsoever, it will never be published online.
Secondly, I'm winding down on the Sonic Fanart, and the gallery will be changing accordingly to reflect this. This is just a choice that was inevitable. It's not that I've grown out of it, but it's come to a point

It's aggravating when you realize how classical animation is almost a dying trade. It's even more frustrating when the teachers remind you so often. Sure it thrives in television and internet media. But in terms of film or cinema it's practically toast. I'm not saying that to be a jerk, they really do TELL us that!
I don't mind too much but it's just one of those things that tugs at the back of your mind while remembering just how much you paid for this course. All the while you're convincing yourself that this wasn't a waste and you really WERE meant to be there. But who's to say?

Game: One Bullet
A Ludum Dare Jam game by *Pix3M, Potentialing, and myself. Our main programmer had to withdraw at the last minute, so I ended up taking his role. We made this from the ground up in 72 hours, with the theme of "minimalism".
Film: Beneath the Night Sea
A short animated film about a young mermaid searching for warmth. Created by Matthew Cangelosi for DigiPen, with music by me. Prior to this project, Matt and I teamed up for the atmospheric game One Curious Nightfall, which has a similar feel and theme.

I'm so over this.
I shared my opinions and the backlash was just completely outrageous! I'm attacked when I speak lovingly about God, I'm attacked when I talk about being pro-love and how I support homosexuals etc and NOW...I'm being attacked for having an opinion about art. Just updating my status. I want you guys just to know that I really want this bachelor's thesis done NOW! So I'll be taking some day's off of DA. Don't worry. I'll be loging in every now and then but don't be alarmed if I don't answer notes or messages daily like I usually do. (this is mostly for the people I RP with)
But I am happy to say that this thesis is doing nicely. It still needs at least ten pages but I am positive I can get it done. And it is quite fun... It's not everyday you need to play video games for research (My thesis is about simulation games on facebook and how to make graphics for a facebook game).
Next... I'll be writing a part about Animal Crossing in it.(writing about simulation games in general.)
