I'm a huge fan of Batman and the Batman animated series, but I'm also an 80's kid so I grew up with tons of great cartoons. One of them was Muppet Babies. So I did another mash up. This will be up for sale in the store tomorrow.

Hi there people!
Here you have 3 pin ups I've done with Juan Garcia :iconjohnnyriesgo: of the 3 original characters from a project im working on called "Craters".

All the colors credit goes to him, who did a fucking awesome job with the atmosphere and light. Although I think the colors are really what brings them to life! :la:

Anyways, in my blog www.murfish.blogspot.com you can find a better resolution version of the pin ups. Hope you like them folks!

Yeah, it's a bit morbid if you look for too long... But I figured everyone else would be doing real jaunty stuff for a Tiki Christmas Show so I did something a little bit dark for Berlin.

This gets its physical debut at the Strychnin Gallery on December 11 but this here's a sneaky peek for my dA chums.

Canvas background with front elements printed onto acetate... Framed up to look like a nice animation cell from 1961.

The theme for this week's The Line It Is Drawn was Comic Book Characters on Reality Shows. I'm not a big reality show person, so I chose Cops: Gotham almost at random. I didn't have much of an idea until I sat down to start working on the piece. When I started sketching, it occurred to me that it might be funny to show the cop's reactions to Batman catching all the big crooks in town. After a while, I figured they might start to get a little blasť about it.

The layout is based on a Jim Aparo panel from 1980's The Untold Legend of the Batman, a series that recapped Batman's origins and background as they existed at that time. I read it at the very impressionable age of about 8 or so, so some of my very favorite Batman images are from that series. There's something I love about the idea of early outlaw vigilante Batman just dumping a tied & bound Joker at the front steps of police headquarters without even stopping the Batmobile (And how cool is that 1940s roadster Batmobile, BTW?). It's so pulpy & fun.

Anyway, I hope you like it! Check out all the other great entries by the LIID artists here: [link]

This week for The Line is Drawn, all the "try-outs" are doing "Fights That Haven't Happened" and I had to draw the Nemesis vs. Batman suggestion.

It'd be such a cool fight/comic. I love Batman and Nemesis, for all its flaws, turned out to be a pretty decent comic (and I'm SO excited for the sequel this fall).
