Last year I visited a craft fair and discovered in the paper decoration / paper crafting a super great new material.
Maybe some of you know it.
But here in german Cosplay scene, and perhaps also for many other countries it's really a novelty.
It can be used for paper decoration, for gemstones, paint and much more.
In this tutorial I made a kind of decoration for costumes versions/ setting f

Rule 2 :you get what you give. so give what you would like to recieve.
Rule 3: there is no good or bad, only seperate perspectives.
Rule 4: every moment is an individual and seperate universe unto itself.
each and every second is indivisible as its own universe, its own fraction of existence.
remember, people of earth.
You are not your job.
You are not that expensive car you are saving for.
You are not even someones child or parent...
You are not a game character.
You are not a movie star, nor should you ever want to be one.
ready for this?
You are actually an undying, ever powerful and ultimately omnipotent beings,
renting out space on one of the hardest worlds out there.
Our envisionments of god are an inward spiral, simply a way of understanding our own massive consiousness that we are without these bodies of muscle and bone.
You are you....

If youve been inspired to customize your own clothes and dont know where to start, here are some ideas:
1. The thrift store is your best friend. Youd be surprised by all the amazing things you can find there. I recently got a beautiful jacket with a corset backing for just five dollars.
2. Screen printing is a great way to put your own designs on clothes. If youre feeling ambitious, check out this video tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee_8IMx0uMo&featurelayList&p=7000A6A25CCD6ACC&index=14 If youre like me and prefer an easier, quicker approach, I

This tutorial shows an elaborate corset. Patterns can be found on the Internet at Burda / Simplicity or even online shops about historical patterns and corsets.
Many steps can be used for a simple corsage. The steps

Tutorial: Basic Cosplay Make-upBasic Information:Tutorial: Basic Cosplay Make-up3 years ago in Personal More Like This
As said before: English is not my native language. I'm sorry for every mistake I made while writing. I'm just showing you what works for me. This is a "you can" tutorial and not "you must". I hope this gives you a basic idea on how I do it and helps you as well. I will not show you any brands of make-up I work with since they are different from country to country. I'm not a dermatologist or a professional make-up artist, so I can't give you tips for "problem skin" cases like acne and so on. Please consult a doctor and let them give you tips for what's best to use before buying something randomly
If you don't know what make-up to use out of the hilarious amount of available products in stores ask a vendor in the store of your choice. They will help you.
This tutorial will be the base for every upcoming make-up related tutorial I will post in the future.
First of all I clean my skin and apply vanishing crème. It's always good to do so
On misunderstandings about cosplayThis is a topic I've been meaning to talk about for quite a while now. I finally got the motivation to when Sarah sorairo-days emailed me to share my thoughts on what cosplay means to me, and what I feel it really means to be a cosplayer despite all the misconceptions about the hobby. It's for this article on Random Nerds, in which Sarah shares her side of it as well.On misunderstandings about cosplay3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Over the years, I've witnessed how cosplayers are constantly looked down upon, which makes people apprehensive towards it. It's such a shame because it's a wonderful and rewarding hobby which brings people together. And in general, I am firmly against making anyone feel bad about doing something they want to do.
I am aware that the concept of cosplay might be too much for some individuals, but our intention definitely isn't to get all up in everyone's faces and say everyone should cosplay or whatever. We just want to promote a
Fuwa Aika cosplay (summer uniform) Well, this journal won't be so long as the last one, but I really had to share all the progress of Aika's cosplay. So, here we go:Fuwa Aika cosplay (summer uniform)2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've been planning to cosplay Fuwa Aika from Zetsuen no Tempest for a long time, as most of you already knew. I really love the character, since her personality is totally similar to mine and, specially, because her relationship with Yoshino makes me think of my own with Linkster-Art ♥ He also likes Yoshino a lot too, so it was just perfect as we wanted to cosplay together again!
First, I was making her winter uniform but the wig took ages to arrive and when I finally got it, it came with the wrong colour (blonde/extremely light brown ; ; ). I've tried to dye it right but the quality of the wig was so bad that I ended up cutting my own hair like hers ahah
All this process took so long that the weather was already warm here and I had to do her summer uniform too xD
I guided myself from the official character's designs above. It wa

1. Do your damn research. I can't stress this enough. We live in the freaking Information Age, and the concept of Googling is an alien one to too many people. While I could easily go on a rant about anti-intellectualism, I'll rein it in and say that cliché' is largely anachronistic. People use them because they're familiar, not necessarily what's true. When I started world-building for my Western steampunk/cattlepunk trilogy, one of the characters was the equivalent of a Chinese immigrant worker. So I read everything I could get my hands on about what it was like to be a Chinese immigrant worker. Wikipedia articles, fiction, and non-fiction. I also read authors like Lawrence Yep

Hello~ I'm finally taking orders for wig commissions. Please read the info below if you're interested in getting a wig styled by me. ^^ I'm only taking limited orders per time period since I need to work on my own cosplays as well.
Red-cluster Wig Commissions
I'm just a wig lover who might just be "a little" obsessed with wig styling. My aim in doing wig commissions is to provide fellow cosplayers with wigs that best suited to them. I can't promise to make the wigs "exactly" as the wigs of *insert cosplayer's name here* But I can promise that I will make the wig that looks good on you and remains accurate to the original style of the character you choose to cosplay.
For some examples

We were able to provide a more comfortable environment for the artists, display their art on huge screens over the Alley, and let people attending the convention draw with deviantART muro on fantastic digital screens. We plan to do this and more in 2012 as we take on the great pleasure of sponsoring Artists' Alley at San Diego Comic-C
