Sunset over Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe. The clouds were amazing, along with the color. This was an easy spot to get to. You just stop along the highway at a turnout. I had the tripod all set up with the heater running in the car. ;)

I arrived at this spot at sunset along the East coast of Lake Tahoe, looking to shoot Bonsai Rock, but the cloud cover was too thick to get anything decent. As I was heading back up to my car, I noticed the sky clearing in this one spot, so I shot these rocks right next to Bonsai Rock in the direction of the clearing the clouds. I got rained on and had to tromp though snow, but I enjoyed making this shot.

Finally a new shot! I just got back from Yosemite and for it being winter, there was very little snow. Enjoy!

Ever so slightly the morning sunlight caresses the famous Castle Mountain. Thousands of feet below the Bow River rushes by. Along its shores the ice is growing after 2 days of snow and -26C tempertures.

Montana de Oro / Central Coast / Calif / USA

There's nothing like shooting down at Montana de Oro, always a challenge and always a complete journey into something other worldly and "jurassic". The most strange and uncanny coastline there is, and a complete blast! This is, not TO FAR off the trail. Went down to a small cove and explored a region I hadn't been to before. As usual, I wasn't disappointed. The 3/4 moon was rising above the cliffs and I thought I would include it in this shot, made sure to get some water flowing back toward the beach to add a little bit of movement and character to what would have been a very "still" picture.

Slightly different crop and processing of an earlier deviation. I think I like it better like this.

This was taken near Sedona, Arizona this last December.
