The frozen lagoon in front of Breiðamerkurjökull glacier was an amazing place to visit. Endless fields of blue icebergs, some as big as a house, assumed countless forms and triggered everyone's imagination. The soft morning sun colored the mountaintops red, to complement the scene.
If you wish to experience and shoot this magical place, among many other incredible sceneries, you're welcome to join my upcoming 'Land of Ice' Iceland winter workshop taking place January 2013. Please click the link for more details, and contact me with any questions about the workshop.
This is a photo of a perfect reflection of the Mont Blanc Massif in the ‘Lac de Chérsery”. On that evening in October, the water of the lake only remained completely calm for a few minutes offering me this tremendous photo opportunity. Starting from left to right, the photo allows one’s gaze to wander from the Auigelle Verte to the Grande Jurasse and main peak of the Mont Blanc.

We seldom get electric storms in the Western Cape, but usually on a few abnormally hot days in summer the big mushroom clouds form over the Cape mountains. On this day in January I decided to give chase and ended up somewhere between Touwsrivier and Calvinia. While there isn't a gallery for this specific area on my map, it's closest to the boland area.
