The frozen lagoon in front of Breiðamerkurjökull glacier was an amazing place to visit. Endless fields of blue icebergs, some as big as a house, assumed countless forms and triggered everyone's imagination. The soft morning sun colored the mountaintops red, to complement the scene.

If you wish to experience and shoot this magical place, among many other incredible sceneries, you're welcome to join my upcoming 'Land of Ice' Iceland winter workshop taking place January 2013.
Please click the link for more details, and contact me with any questions about the workshop.

This is a photo of a perfect reflection of the Mont Blanc Massif in the ‘Lac de Chérsery”. On that evening in October, the water of the lake only remained completely calm for a few minutes offering me this tremendous photo opportunity. Starting from left to right, the photo allows one’s gaze to wander from the Auigelle Verte to the Grande Jurasse and main peak of the Mont Blanc.

I went to the viewpoint nearby for sunset to get some photos of Mt. Blanc and the Alps. The last few days there has been lots of nice pink sunsets, and luckily managed to see them again today.

The picture is made of a few photos merged in photoshop, and were taken using a 100-400mm L lens with Lee .6 and .9 ND Grad filters.

The peaks of the Geisler mountain range appear in the warm light of the low evening sun while Swiss pine trees cast long shadows in the picture’s foreground. The panorama captures the northern side of the Dolomite Alps seen from the Glatsch Alm at the end of the Vilnöß Valley.

The rising sun touches the peaks of the Weißhorn Mountain Range on a freezing morning in September. But the impressive Bruneg Glacier just below the mountain top is still well-shaded.

A very unique light in a December sunset after heavy snowfalls. It was a really great view in my homeland mid-mountains.

Les bois Noirs, Arconsat, France.
