Every week another pain.
Every day another bullet.
Every hour I feel the strain
Of every minutes insignificance,
Boring away, reminding me that
I am nothing yet.
I've given up on so many things
That have made me who I am
And as I stare into my empty room
I realise I'd never noticed the light bulb had fused.
Not only have I nothing
I am also nothing to you,
Which is why you should have told me this
Before I dipped my toes into the most temperate of waters
Only to find the tap had ran cold.
I am a bore
And this is why I can fully understand
My friend's neglect. Soon they won't have to worry.
I will have drifted further into icy waters,
Immersing myself in negativity and sufficient
Amounts of hope.

I’m drowning. Shit, I’m really about to die. Of all the ways to go, I never thought I’d die in way as uncool as this. Goodbye, everyone…
“Help! My son is drowning in the lake,” A worried mother yelled frantically.
“Where is he!?” The lifeguard asked as he jumped down from the tall chair. He missed the boy when a few swimmers asked him where they could find the bathroom.
“Over there!” The mother pointed, but of course, he had already been consumed by the lake.
“That’s almost in the very middle of the lake! There’s no way I can make it, I’m sorry,” He said as the center of the lake was at least two hundred meters away and he was still rather new to being a life guard.
“What are you talking about!? You’re a lifeguard, isn’t this your job!?” The franti

I’d love you like
those couples who grow
into each other and make
poetry out of body language

weaknesses when they get
too heavy and talk about
the weather without ever really
meaning the weather at all;
and you’d keep me from
falling asleep in the ocean
and I’d lie about little

Sunday for Tuesday and
you for somebody with
the same face who
was always afraid of

hold me and I’d cave in to
you like the hungry tide
and you’d say I looked
beautiful when I cried
and I wouldn’t believe you
but I’d cry more anyways.

you’d be the brightest

It's 2:56 am. I'm listening to Voltaire on YouTube because I can't find my old CD right now, and even though I have the power to copy it off onto my computer, I keep forgetting to do it. I check my email- looks good, nothing too pressing to deal with. No new inquiries on Ask.com. deviantART is quiet. My friends are all (well, probably not all) sleeping, and facebook remains silent. And so I have the opportunity to write. But what shall I write about? Should I put together the next Photoshop Tutorials segment? Write about 3D rendering and the ten things you need to know about it? The next chapter in my "Let's Talk about Art" saga? I'm not really feeling interested in those things right now.
It comes to me as I pick up the object that allows me to do all these things, even write this post, if I so chose to use it for that. That thing is my 4th generat

All Deathnote RulesEntering NamesAll Deathnote Rules6 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
The human whose name is written in this note shall die. This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject's face in mind when writing his/her name. This is to prevent people who share the same name from being affected.
The Death Note will not ever affect a victim whose name has been misspelled four times.
When the same name is written in two or more Death Notes, the Note which was used first will take effect, regardless of the time of death.
If the same name is written in two or more Death Notes within 0.06 seconds, the entry is regarded as simultaneous; the Death Notes will not take effect and the individual will not die.
If a Death Note owner accidentally misspells a person's name four times, that person will be free from being killed by the Death Note. However, if the Death Note owner intentionally misspells the name four times, the owner will die.
The Death Note will not take effect if a victim's name is written on several different pages. Howev

From the lip of the well, its wood now smooth and slippery with ice, Kagome watches.
Snow is pretty. It is even prettier at night, when the frosty glitter of stars plays off a myriad tiny crystals and everything is covered in untouched, glimmering white. No contrasts, save for the clear line of the horizon where white meets the inky black of the night sky. No grey, just the sharp transition from light to dark, leaving no room for hidden meanings or blurry half-truths. No shadows apart from the black outlines of trees with bare branches, almost spidery in their nakedness but not quite.
Kagome tears her thoughts away from spiders, seeking the numb serenity of a few moments before. She could almost touch it, her personal nirvana, but again it has slipped from her grasp, replaced by thoughts of blood and love and spiderwebs in the dark.

Wearily he sits in his usual chair. Maybe no one will notice how tired he is and how much it hurts. His oldest granddaughter knocks on the door and opens the door.
"Hi grandpa. How are you today?" She gives him a hug and sits the plate of cookies in front of him. Her fiancé steps in behind her with a gallon of fresh cow's milk. He hadn't had that since he was a boy. Yum!
He smiles. "When are you getting married??"
She pauses. A different reaction that usual. Usually she says, "Not sure yet. We'll let you know."
"October the eighth."
For a split second he thought there was hope after all. October wasn't too far away. He could make it until then. That would only be a month after the six month mark the doctors gave him back in March. Then she adds .
He didn't know what to say. He'd never make it that long. He knew he couldn't. For a moment, she caught the distress in his eyes, but he looks away quickly back at the cookies and milk. "Thanks for the cookies." H

I would be the only one awake
Excited to visit Wonderland
Where everything is the opposite of reality
I would hug my stuffed rabbit so he can keep me company
As I walk to the end of the hall to the old grandfather clock
I'd sprawl on the ground before it
Next to the tray of cookies and milk
That had started being left there
After the first time I fell asleep in this very spot
I ate the treat and sipped the milk in the teacup
As I waited for midnight
Tick tock, tick tock
Tickety tock, tickety tock
The sounds gave me lyrics and I softly sang the words
The words that lead me to a world of wonder
"Tick tock, tick tock,
Time is lost, time is lost
Tick, tock, tick tock
Forever lost, forever lost
Tick tock, tick tock,
My mind is lost "
And I repeat it until my eyes closed
Then I fell and fell
Down into the realm of my mind
Where anything is possible
It is a dream, but it seems so real
I'm tempted to stay,

Have you ever felt alone, in a room full of people?
Have you ever felt dead, when you 're alive?
Have you ever laughed, but cried your heart out on the inside?
Have you ever felt free, But still trapped?
Have you ever felt the need, the big need to
Fake a smile, and act like it's okay?
I have, and I will do
But staying true to yourself, knowing who you are
That is the most important thing, a human can do
How My Business WorksHow My Business Works3 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
My business works because it's actually not a business. And by this I mean I hardly make any money with my pictures. For me photography is not a way to make money but to invest money, and I work several other jobs to be able to pay for my art. I'm a tour guide on waste to energy plants and wastewater treatment facilities, I'm a concierge at the house I'm living, I work as a Photoshop instructor and on weekends I take care of the library of the University.
Sometimes people say to me: I can hardly believe you're not making money with your photos because they are better than the work of many professional photographers.
Of course it's flattering when somebody says something like that even if I don't always agree. But here's the thing: the very reason why I'm able to work on this level is because I don't have to make money with my pictures. If you're a photographer who wants to make a living out of it you are forced to do things differently. You have to focus on what your customers like and
Life As I Know ItHow often we must bear the challenges of life,Life As I Know It4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
The endless roller coaster between happiness and sorrow;
The constant ups and downs of daily strife,
The fear of not not knowing what comes tomorrow.
Decisions are not easy for those struggling for direction,
Sometimes all we need is just one simple connection.
While standing again at the crossroads,
Hesitant, trapped in the fear inside us;
The urge is to take the most comfortable path,
Lest we fail, suffering our parents' wrath.
And if we've been down that comfortable road before,
Have we gleaned its lessons and learned from our experiences;
Do we yet again follow the known,
Does our destiny lie as society condones;
It is in these times of confusion,
That we must seek peace and avoid delusion;
Time to contemplate on our life,
Our experiences and our choices past;
Time to look back, and reflect,
Until we hopefully become perfect.
We learn something from other people's experience,
And yet, not one person can walk in our footsteps;

And so it came to pass that the Earth was to be made. When the Two Alicorns and their children began to create Olympia and Earth, the earth was without form and void. And Uronus said to Celestia, “Let there be light.” And there was light and it was good. And Uronus said to Luna, “Let there be darkness to complement the light.” And there was darkness and it was good. And Uronus divided the light from the darkness. And Uronus called the light Day and the darkness he called Night. And it was morning and it was evening, The First Day. And Uronus said, “Let there be a vault in the midst of the waters, and let it divide water from water. And Uronus made the vault and it divided the water beneath the vault and the water above the vault. And Uronus called the water above sky, and it was both morning and evening, The Second Day. And Geia said to Nepsidian, “Let the waters under the heavens be ga

Mathias walked out onto the balcony as he watched Robin jump on top of his house and begin running to the next house with grace. There was no unnecessary movement. He readied an arrow while he was running and I could see the opponent that Achilles was running to. She was extremely fast. Achilles wasn’t especially known for great speed but he might as well have been the way she was running. She pulled out a sword from beneath her clothes as she struck at the opposing hero. Mathias could tell he could barely hold against the blow and it didn’t even seem like Achilles was using her full strength. He let the sword come down as he dived out of the way to dodge Robin’s arrow, but the second arrow was already on its way and pinned the man’s clothes to the ground. Mathias was stunned at the fact an arrow could stick in the concrete like that. The ending blow came quickly as a seemingly bored Achilles decapitated the hero.

They do not fear God, but they fear Death
