Hi folks,

Hope you enjoyed my Wind Rises tribute. I recorded myself painting this in its entirety. I also answered a few questions that might be helpful in understanding my process and myself as an artist.

There are four parts:

This is where I talk about my early tumbnailing process and gathering research and inspiration.

Here is where I work on the clouds and answer splash-light 's question: Do you also do traditional art? If so, which one do you think is easier, which do you prefer and which do you think you are better at?

This is where I get into refining the silhouettes of the foreground character. I also respond to eagling 's question: What do you do to get used to new brushes? And do you have a favourite brush or favorite combination of brushes?

Here, I work on the planes and the overall composition. I also answer BenjaminRickkard 's question: What are your inspirations and how do you vary your style?

Enjoy and feel free to ask me question. Your questions may be featured in my next video :)

Also, it would mean so much to me if you'd check me out on tumblr:

Thanks!

Also, I encourage you to to download my painting if you're liking it. It's yours folks!

My entry to the Wind Rises contest. I'm happy with the final results. After spending time with this picture, now I have to see the movie; I saw the trailer and it looks pretty good.

It was funny though.. after I saw the movie a few days ago, I noticed that it was a recurring theme to draw Jiro showing Naoko the wind or stuff like that, when in fact ---in the movie it was her who did just that! She played such a huge role in Jiro's inspiration.. that it should be the other way around!!

Was going to write some handwritten thing but i was wondering if it was too spoilery;;;; so it was nixed

H-Hope you like my entry!!!! <3 i had such a pleasure doing it oh gosh it's a great movie everyone should go watch it...

I loved ponyo and couldn't resist entering. I wanted to do a piece that reflected on the the two main characters. It shows a bit about their innocent relationship, the wave has the spirit and energy of ponyo, and it shows a simple tale can remain epic.

*Edit* Seems I didn't make it to the 25 semi-finialist TTnTT
A bit of a let down, but oh well.
Good Luck to the semi-fianlists!

My finished entry for the LBP Contest. -u-

I really like how this came out, especially the meanie wing.

Summary of level:
A Sackbot, trapped in a Meanie Factory, is able to escape his cruel fate of being turn into a meanie just as he himself is being turned to one. After escaping the factory, he wonders into a town. Unfortunately, every Sackboy and Sackbot is afraid of him due to the meanie wing in which the factory left on him. But then he meets one Sackboy, a Sackgirl to be precise, who wasn't afraid.

After sometime, they become very close friends, and as time went on, the Sackbot grew to like the Sackgirl quite deeply. One day he decides to confess his feelings to her and arranges a meeting. Just as they were meeting up, something horrible happens and the Sackbot uses his life in order to save the sackperson most dear to him.

Now dear death, he tries to comfort the now grieving Sackgirl, and goes on to confess his love to her. Before he could get an answer from her though, he passes on. All the Sackgirl could do was cry. Knowing that he would not be able to hear, she goes on to say how she felt about him.
Suddenly, she hears something, a voice. His voice. When she looks up, she is overjoyed at what she sees, the Sackbot seem to have come back to life.

The two,now reunited, go on to live their lives together.

"Nothing can break the string that binds us together."

Everything but the Sackbot and Sackgirl were not made/drawn by me. They are from the Asset pack included w/ the contest.
