The siren was loud and the red lights woke everyone up. The creatures were restless in their cages, wondering what was going on. The siren never went off, not even when the creatures tried to break free they were always caught. Maybe someone broke free and got away. What was going on? Nobody knew.
A very dark skin girl with short blond hair got closer to the glass that trapped her. She heard something running outside of her cage. Her cage was a jungle filled with green colors and brown. She couldn't see her cage mates; they were hidden from her view. She got closer to the glass, fogging it up with her heavy breathing. She heard a person running with heavy feet. They sound fast and strong. The footsteps got louder till she could see this person. That person was a woman, a woman with long hair. Her hair flowed behind like the sea water; it was dark as the ocean. The blond girl gasped as she looked at the runner, her eyes were covered by a metal mask of silver

Within the mirror her lips moved, yet in real life they remained stationary, "You are the story teller....?"
Slowly, she nodded, "I am the story teller."
The mirror girl continued to speak foreign words, "Then tell me a story."
This time the real girl shook her head, "I have no story to tell...."
Smiling, the mirror girl flashed her demonic teeth, "Tell me about how he used to sneak into your room at night. Tell me about how he beat you, broke you, bruised you. Tell me about how you were sinful and enjoyed it. Tell me about how you betrayed your mother by letting him touch you and lie in bed beside y

Henna managed to get out of the vent to the next room. She placed her hands on her sore back, feeling the tight vent working against her body. She stretched out her body to the left and right, getting relief for her spin. She looked at Miles and Milkshake. They looked at her for guidance. She walked pass them and headed out of the small room. Her hand gripped the door knob and she pulled towards her body. Henna stuck her head to the left and right, nothing was there.
"It's all clear," she said.
The boys followed her to the right. She could feel their eyes peering into her back, like cold knifes cutting into her ribcage.
She glanced over her shoulder and said, "Is there something you want to say?"
"It's about your outfit," Milkshake spoke.
"What about it?" she asked, knowing a few things were on their minds.
"Why is it like that?"
"Why do you have a second mouth on your stomach?" she answered with a question.

"You can sense her?"
"Do you know where she is?" I asked.

Derik just nodded his head and moved his gaze behind me.
"Not every mortal has the sight of the Underworld, and able to talk to them is a different story, but you're still human."
I turned around to see a redhead faun looking at me. He had dark hooves with fingers and ram horns to match. He looked like he jumped out a roman story book. The tunic he was wearing reminded me of the old Roman and Greek days of the past.
"A faun," I said, looking at the strange creature. "I thought I would never see one besides from the big screens."
"And I bet I look even more gorgeous live then in your silly human movies," the faun said.
"I thought fauns would be taller," I said, my eyes fixed on his ram horns

My sister and I are opposites. She was popular, I was not. Even when I was an upper classman, no one really wanted to hang out with me. My flaming reddish hair clung on to each other; the curls making my head appear wider. My eyes were grey green, as if the green decided to fade away. My freckles seemed scattered on my face as if God didn't know where to place them and just spat them on my face. Worst of all was my smile, crooked and it became metalized. My teeth ached from the braces and it would cut the inside of my mouth.
My sister, on the other hand, had straight blonde hair with glimmering sky blue eyes. Her eyes were pouring with the calmness of the sea. Her smile would brighten up any room; ev

I slowly moved my legs into the bathtub; feeling the warm water tingle my bare skin. Then I lay out in the tub, my long legs over the rim. I let the steam build up in the bathroom, feeling like I was at an expensive spa. My head went underwater then I came back up for air, pushing my curls behind my ears. I slowly closed my eyes, relaxing my body.
I stayed like this for a long time, till the water started to get cold. My eyes slowly grew open and I saw shadows against the still water and my chest. They looked like long needles of fingers of bony hands. I squinted to get a sharper view but that didn't work. I need my glasses. I dunked underwater again and surfaced. The shadows were gone. Then I decide to get out, I pulled the plug and ringed the water out of my thick hair.
The towel hugged around my upper chest as I got my thick glasses. I could finally see like a normal person. Then I got ready for bed.

The Darkness in Her Heart -Unfinished-The ash and soot covered the torn buildings and crumbled streets in a black snow. Making a gloomy, grey, dead scene but not all is lifeless. In the faint se of ashes came lights, lights of the fire burning and the cars booming to life. The people who could walk helped those who couldn't. The ones in uniform helped the people, being leaders and angels in the people's eyes. But the uniforms knew it was a false hope they were feeding to them, they knew the truth will come in time and time was shorter than ever before. The ground roared in anger and made everything shook with it, but soon it died. The screams and cries from the people made the air restless, their sobs for help and their prayers to be answered will be short lived. The Darkness in Her Heart -Unfinished-3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

She looked like a half-eaten zombie with her neck and teeth exposed with no skin to hide her muscles and raw bone. That wasn't the main focus; she unhinged her jaw and showed her shark teeth, the flesh stretched passing the limits. Her gloves and stockings came off showing just bones and mere tendons keeping her limbs connected to her body. She was part of the walking dead. But the real secret she had was her stomach. "Wait, I think I think we lost that monster."
"You're right, we should rest a bit," Dragoon said, floating to the ground.
Tenjina and Nayeli sat down against the metal wall, tired from the running. They both panted a bit, trying to catch their breath.
"Where are we going now?" Tenjina asked.
The two girls were silent.
Then Dragoon spoke, "We should head to the control room and meet up with Henna, she seems to know what is going on and to fly this ship."
"So she's the leader?"
"She knew what was going on before all of us, and I think she was the one who broke out."
"We should rest here for a few more moments while we have the peace and quiet," Nayeli said.
They didn't have to talk to agree with her. They all sat beside the wall, listening to the strange sounds of the ship. A muffling gurgling sound came to their left. They looked at the hallway and then at each other. Soon they all got up and started to run in the opposite direction, hoping to fin

With the last hieroglyph finished, Wati set aside the scroll he had been working on. He closed The Book of the Dead and ran his hands along the cover. They were overjoyed when the first leaves pressed their way up through the dirt to tell them the news of their child, and the days passed with excitement as they waited to see if they grew to be bar

The siren finally stopped and everything was a peace, at least on the inside. The loud beeping and red lights stopped. Everything was quite for a short while, but the creatures started to brake free. Glass shattered to the ground, they all went outside. A few dropped died, unable to breathe without certain types of plants or without water. The stronger ones left the hallways and ran through the ship. The weaker ones were blessed to be still in their enclosures or cursed to be killed off by the stronger monsters.

She looked around and said, "It's clear."
The others walked pass her and looked at the walls. They were filled with jars as tall as the walls themselves. Each one could fit Henna more into them. Most of them were empty. The hallway was filled with these jars. Tenjina and Nayeli looked at each one, hoping to see some life in them.
