EDIT: Thanks for the info on reindeer gender-antler technicalities. I did learn this in my teens, but I just kind of enjoy drawing the deer as white-tails like I did as a kid. I know it's incorrect, but the nostalgia factor is more fun for me. Merry Christmas fellow biology nerds!
When I was would little, my obsessive love for Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer would inspire me to draw Santa's eight reindeer to string together for Christmas decorations around the house. Even as a kid, I wanted some of the reindeer to be girls (it only seemed fair) and Dancer, Vixen and Cupid where always featured without antlers to show Santa didn't discriminate against the does!
So here's sweet-natured Cupid to wish you Happy Holidays! Have a wonderful day, everyone!

When I first sold LMS to Paramount, a lot of people asked me: "How much money did you get?" "You're probably rich now, right?"
I mean, the solid gold mansion I bought was just a little gift to myself...but...
Ever since I was little, I've known I wanted to draw. From the day my parents put a pencil in my hand, this was my future. I just knew it, I had that gut feeling. So I stuck to it, and thankfully it took me to heights I'd have never imagined possible. Now with my new book Redemption heading off to studios soon for a hopeful movie package, I can't wait to see where this new road takes me.
That said, there's something else that tops all of this.
The other night I went out to visit my girlfriend's cousin and her family. Incredibly kind people with very sweet kids. Other than the two parents, there were 3 kids, but the one who caught my interest was the eight-year old boy, Diego.
Diego, shy, tiny, slender, reminded me of myself when I was his a

I find that it's one thing to write well, another to draw well, and even more challenging to do both well together seamlessly and simultaneously.
I pay more attention to the details in life, both visually, emotionally, mentally and socially what makes people tick, cry, fume, laugh and downright puzzled. I record fascinating ordinary conversations and sights. I organize my memories differently. I have with me not only my own, but so many others. I collect experiences.
I desire to understand human development, how the relationships we create with one another forges such a diversity of personalities, how we physically age and keep our youthfulness. I desire to understand larger systems at work, institutions, governance, criminal, legal, environmental and ecological. I desire to be open to different ways of beings, their belief systems, their culture, their history, their language and traditions. I wonder more.
Once I unde
Choose your RivalHi there Ryceballs it is I Ry-Spirit of the East. Here to talk about something that I have never mentioned much before.. And that is the topic of 'Rivals'.Choose your Rival2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Ash had Gary Oak, Goku had Vegeta, Naruto had Sasuke. Do you believe that having a rival can help you improve in whatever you do? I do. I remember back in High School I got lots of praises from my classmates for being the greatest at drawing, I liked to draw in my diaries and homeworks alot Which explains why my marks were soooo FREAKIN TERRIBLE!. And there was a friend (I used the term very loosely) who would always try to find ways to make people feel like crap, this time it was no exception, he figured out what I liked and stabbed that piece of pure innocent heart with a sharp poisonous knife, he told me my drawings is poo compared to this other guy our year, I have never seen that guy's artworks before so my friend went as far as to sneak into the library storage room where everyone left their bags at, opened up the guy's bag an

Hello Everyone! This is a bday report from tumblr~ but instead of a link I wanted to post photos here too to brighten up my journal! haha ^^Hello Everyone!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
On my bday, bro and the others didn't have time so I went with sis and parents to the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden! Small but pretty ^^
We ate at a well known pastry place~ and walked around areas that I remembered from my childhood! After that, parents when home and we went with my best friend (in the whole wide worlldddd, I always get my numbers mixed up but I think it's about 18 years now xD) to eat at a really cool hot pot place! Yummm!!!
The day after, we went out with Louis, bro and his gf Kiyoko-chan~ we went around Vancouver! We live in such a beautiful city ヽ(*´ｖ｀*)ﾉ
Went out for dinner after~ another yumyummm!! After Louis went home, bro,

when people want to trace my stuff or use it as a reference, i say, go for it. if it helps you learn something, awesome!
when people want to edit something of mine and take the moment to ask me to do it, i usually say yes
we are all different, we all have our own little fetishes, and mine being bdsm, who the fuck am i to judge.
but recently i have been sent a link of one of my pictures, ally and lisa as a ponygirl one edited to be a guy....and it pissed me off.
not because the picture was edited, hell not even because whoever did it ended up putting their own website watermark to it... fuck it
what pissed me off is that the person who did it couldn't take a second to ask could he or she do it. just basic respect

Abusive Artist Relationships [Are you in one?]Ask yourself these following questions to see if you are in an abusive relationship with an artist you watch on Deviantart/Tumblr/Whatever!Abusive Artist Relationships [Are you in one?]3 years ago in Personal More Like This
1. Do you dread checking your messages on a daily basis knowing you may see a journal about them which contains some form of verbal bashing that is indirectly pointed towards you? (i.e. "Fuck all you guys")
2. Do you worry yourself sick when they post short journals saying about how they're sick of life with the subtle indication they may be considering suicide? (i.e. "fuck this I'm so done." "i can't do this anymore" "bye.")
3. Do you find yourself responding to each of these trying to comfort them only to be completely unacknowledged?
4. Do they constantly post vents with suicidal hints with disabled comments?
5. Do they respond to what you have to say shortly and curtly without any consideration for your feelings? "whatever" or "why should I care what you say lol"
6. Do you find yourself completely tired of the artist's attitude towards everythi

You can check out a video with footage of the guys from the Bullets era here. Normally I'm not a fan of the Bullets era, because it was a dark period in their lives, but I've been told the video is cute and positive. (Thanks NeverEndingAdventres for the news.)
Frank also released a bloody music video for "Joyriding" here.
And I finished the Killjoy poetry 'zine. You can check it out here. Thanks to gonegal, MoonwalkJones, and jasminwoddiscaron for participating!
Night Raiders - v1.0Hey everyone! I've made a survival minecraft world! It's called Night Raiders! The map was created and designed by me and Darcia, with help from Ashley Staggs.Night Raiders - v1.03 years ago in Personal More Like This
*Two team PVP survival map! Red vs Blue!
*6 players per team for a total of 12 possible combatants!
*Simple automatic player drop system makes the map easy for admins to setup.
*Two unique worlds built from the ground up!
*Both sides have ores and resources the other side needs!
*Lots of hidden pathways, secrets, and treasures sprinkled throughout both worlds!
*The only 2 doors connecting the worlds open and close depending on the time of day and weather conditions. During the day they're closed, but then at night they open up!
*Sneak into enemy territory and steal the precious resources you need to level up your weapons and armor!
*Defend your land from outsiders!
The map is free to download, but I would like to encourage people to visit the site via the following adf.ly http://adf.ly/DIR5n . I know everyone hates those links,
The 9 Problems with BEAUTY AND THE BEASTLet me start by saying: Beauty and the Beast is my favorite film of all time. The 9 Problems with BEAUTY AND THE BEAST3 years ago in Personal More Like This
But there've always been things that have crossed my mind as being... "not quite right."
I'm not complaining about the film, only asking the obvious question of: how is this possible?
1. The vanishing king and queen!
Lumiere says in "Be Our Guest" that for... "Ten years we;ve been rusting..." So where are the Prince's parents? To BE a prince it implies you HAVE parents (a King and Queen) but at the end of the movie, during the movie, and at the beginning of the movie there is no sign of his parents.
2. The Prince is Uncharacteristic!
At the beginning of the movie it shows the Prince at the castle door turning the beggar woman away...but isn't the Prince in a household FULL of servants? Why didn't one of them answer the castle door that night? If the intro is correct at the Prince's behavior, being "spoiled, selfish, and unkind" why would the Prince take time out of his day to answe

Sometimes an artist’s works affect you on such a visceral level,
bypassing the analytical function of your brain so utterly as the images
plunge deep into some basic, primal place in your subconscious, into
your ever-lurking id, into your dream-being, that it’s hard to put
in words why the artist’s works are just so good, so much a cut above
others in the genre. This is my problem in trying to express my enthusiasm
for the works of shichigoro756 – works such as “usagi-kikai”, “kami-kaze-3”, “usagi’s
day” and “hug”. Perhaps it’s best to start by citing some obvious influences

Each year in summer, just right at the beginning of the summer vacations, a person would come visiting some of the towns around Europe. Some say it was a kind hearted spirit and some said it's a polite witch, but she just called herself a wandering artist. She always showed up for few days here and there to just walk around, relax and paint few landscape/portrait paintings. She went by the name Juta and people didn't mind her appearance, even though they vaguely knew her background. But they had a reason to stay calm, as she had a habit to stop by to have a nice chat, help with some odd jobs, heal with few herb medicines and tell tales from around the world during bonfire nights. Nothing dangerous. The kiddies though loved her the most as she had always some candy to give to them, so they awaited her each year eagerly

Olympic Fire and IndustryWell; the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics certainly was .surprising.Olympic Fire and Industry3 years ago in Personal More Like This
As I predicted; there was quite a bit of content that just had me squirming in my chair, thinking "No! NO! Why did you do that?!". The absurdity of the nod to the NHS, for example, and the sudden appearance of various storybook villains, which felt (for lack of a better word) "Disney".
However; the "historical" section of the ceremony's opening half utterly blew me away. An unexpected appearance by Kenneth Branagh, playing Isambard Kingdom Brunel (who essentially WAS the Industrial Revolution), began a spectacular sequence that pretty much summed up what Britain's past was all about; fire and industry.
It was, without a doubt, the highlight of the entire spectacle, and if you either didn't get the chance to catch it or didn't bother to watch it, I urge you to track it down online!
And then there was James Bond .charged with the most difficult seduction of his career.
Yes. That really was her. I couldn'

Before we start, please note your prize givers to receive your prizes. Preferably link them back to this journal to prove your claim.
Lets start with the literature category (it's the smallest one);
Lit 1st -
Because we didn't have a second entry, I picked a visual entry which had a load of writing and could have easily been a literature entry (there was a serious amount of work pu into this one)
Lit 2nd -
Now onto the visual category and we'll start with second (the one chosen by the group);
Vis 2nd -
And now for the admin pick (which is first) and was a very hard pick. There were so many others who could have easily gotten first but I prefer a single winner. So here is first place visual winner;
Vis 1st -
I'm amazed at how well thought out all your creatures are! It was particularly hard to judge when you all took your ideas in different ways but that is the best part and I always love se

Ok, I was reading some critic reviews for this show (BTW, ALOT of people gave it a MEGA FAIL) and some people brought up some... REALLY stupid views. Now... I just need to rant. Please... please, let me rant... this show... sucks so much eggs... I just cant DEAL WITH THIS!!! Ok, calm down... all right, where do I begin? -Oh yes! I'll start with this Godforsaken plot...
(non-biased) A boy named Johnny with blond fiery hair has two sisters who are very smart and created a laboratory. Johnny also has a dog named Dukey (Dookiee) who can talk. "Test" is Johnny's last name due to the joke that his sisters use him to test out their latest inventions. Johnny's father is a feminist who stays at home and he cleans the house while Johnny's mom has an office job. Johnny

Inspired ArtI once thought that you should "paint what you know". Each artist has a unique background from which we can draw from. This is a sure way to create art with authentic detail and intimacy. In theory this is great and sometimes true, but more often than not it leads to boring and uninspired work. To simply paint what you know, is far too limiting!Inspired Art3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Now I am of the opinion that you should create the art that you would like to see. The real thrill is in exploring these new horizons, and blazing your own trail. For me, this is vital to the enjoyment of being an artist. Allow your art to surprise you, and let inspiration be your guide.

Said it before and I'll say it again, you're the best bunch of readers a dude like me could possibly ask for
