There's a lot of controversy about what 'furry' means. It doesn't really have a set definition.
Anthropomorphic is a definition for anything with human features. Anything, like a toaster. So, all furries are anthro, but not all anthros are furries. Some artists dismiss this term, and some use it.
I don't think it's okay to call other people's anthro characters for furries unless they do so themselves. They might resent the term, therefore it would come as an insult to them - it does to me.
Well, the furry community has a bad reputation.
On sites such as FurAffinity, which is dedicated to anthropomorphic animals, has an ocean of pornographic content which range from clean to what-the-fuck-eww. People who draw and commission these kinds of things usually refer to themselves as furries. Their characters usually do not have properly developed personalities (some purely consisting of slut

Well, I am a soon-to-be art student and so far autodidactic digital artist. I started out with no knowledge of anthropophormism whatsoever as I joined dA, but the moment I stumbled upon the first anthro art piece, I was smitten. What really perked my interest was the mixture between human and animal anatomy. It was a foreign concept to me back then to mix appearently different anatomies that seemed to work as if it was real.
