I'm sorry this took me so long! o_o I've been kinda busy over the past few days and it takes a long time to color and yeah. Especially Megas.
Anyway, this is my tribute to one of the most pro-awesome shows out there. I also got inspiration from when I was learning the ins and outs of high beams during driving practice. Ehe... Can't say I've never made the same mistake Coop does. But I'm sure Megas's high beams are way more extreme than any normal car's...
Just wanted to show my little collection i have from my fav show Megas XLR.
The list are:
-MEGAS XLR ACTION FIGURE
-MEGAS XLR STATUE
-PEN WITH MEGAS IMAGE
-THE BOTTLECAP OPENER
-THE EIGHTBALL KEYCHAIN(actually that's not official Megas merchandise yet i thought it would look cool. in the collection lol)
-THE DOWNTOWN DVD
-THE SCRIPT FROM THE FINAL EPISODE OF MEGAS WITH GEORGE KRSTIC AUTOGRAPH
I usually don't collect much, sometimes i do yet i leave them by somewhere yet with Megas is different since i really appreciate the cool stuff they have released from the show.
First started with the action figure and at first didn't want to buy it, since i thought some toy company will release some action figures until the episode of "Terminate Her" where Megas was crushing the Glorft with the mosh pit, i seriously wanted a Megas figure and got right ahead to buy the one on the CN site, I can say that i'm glad i bought it since i believe it was the last one or one the few they had left since the show had finished with just 2 seasons.
Then it came the statue and it's really cool and also glad that DC direct release it since i think they stop doing statues of the CN shows.
I want to thank really for George Krstic(Co-Creator of Megas) who was really cool to give me the cool stuff i have now, especially the script of the final episode of Megas and the DVD of Downtown.
I have missed some other cool Megas stuff like T-Shirts, the ones from Jollibee yet with the stuff i have, i don't complain much.
I do hope someday we see more Megas stuff, especially a DVD box set and want to thank George Krstic and Jody Schaeffer for creating some kicked ass show that is Megas XLR.
The debut of my new category - that's right, folks, I'm taking up Megas XLR! *waits for applause*
I love this show all to pieces, and figured it was time to rearrange my categories anyway. Yep, that means a new setup! Out with the old, in with the new! Don't worry, my old specialties are here to stay - Transformers and Sonic are completely safe.
But in any event, that isn't the only new thing I'm trying. I figured I ought to branch out a little, yeah? Whereas up until now, I've focused largely on romance, fluff, and et cetera, I'm experimenting with battles, comedy, groups, even a little tragedy and terror. Which means, yes - this new category will soon be filled with kick-ass robot fightan action.
I swear, I must be the only one on the face of the planet, but I love this pairing so much. I got the idea for this picture right after watching "All I Wanted Was A Slushie". It being the first real Megas XLR picture I've done, I'm extremely proud of it! Coop was surprisingly easy to draw; Kiva's damn hair was the real tough bit. Of course, heavyset characters aren't actually screamingly hard to draw like one would make you think. It's just a matter of paying attention to the body type.
Well, now I've gotten Coop and Kiva down - step two, Jamie and green-skinned alien chicks!
Jamie just chilling out. Got the idea for the pic when I saw "DMV" and Jamie had his hat over his eyes while waiting in line for the DMV. I like the hat-over-the-eyes look. >O Colored in Adobe PS, drawn on paper first and jacket colored in with Le Plume marker.
This is the first design I made for Gauntlet's lupine yuushabot. However, I don't really care for it too much as a *whole*, so the only thing I'm posting it for is the mecha head, which is staying the same (and I was too lazy to draw it on the new and more-likely-to-be-kept concepts).
...Actually, a lot of things from this one carried over to the 'new' one. But this is still outdated.
The sketch of this one is a LOT nicer than the 'final' design. But that's because I had less in the way of concept to concentrate on.
