Another Redesign, this time of the sadly much forgotten Generation X! This was also recently on Project:Rooftop , which was a huge honor for me! :) Once again, check out the site if you haven't, it has many many really amazing artists and works there!

Here's the Third - Jubilee!

I thought i'd do something Paddy's Day related, since St. Patrick's Day is this week. I decided to revisit the Banshee I designed last year (tweaked the gloves/boots a little and added facial hair) and now that i'm doing Marvel work, maybe... *JUST MAYBE* they'll see this and think about bringing him back. As a bad-ass. And let me draw him!

I live in hope.

Dec.

[PS; thanks to Jordie for helping me with the colours]

I think this is my strongest batch so far.  I loved the Academy X era and think its a crying shame we don't see more of them now.

Noriko Ashida: Surge. A Japanese immigrant whom has had much trouble with the law.

Julian Keller:  Hellion, in my universe Hellion lost his arms while at High School.  A spoiled and popular Beverley Hills brat, Julian Keller was an insufferable bully.  His favorite target was the strange and socially stunted Sarah Eves.  After one particularly cruel prank by Julian and some friends Sarahs mutation emerges.  Using her new found powers (a grotesque bone mutation) she viciously attacked Julian almost killing him.  Julian would recover but find himself facing the rest of his life as a double amputee with both his arms removed from above the elbow.  Over the next year Julians outlook on life would change and after facing the challenges of prejudice himself he would learn to overcome his own.  One day Julian would confront a pair of jocks as they were so similarly cruel to a small boy as he had once been to Sarah.  As their mocking was turned on Julian his own telekinesis would emerge.

Laura Kinney: X23.  The mysterious clone of Wolverine who has killed many as a part of a WeaponX splinter program.  Laura was found by Deadpool (Wade Wilson) in Russia while he was on a vendetta to track down former WeaponX scientists.  She was used as an assassin for an unknown group until she mysteriously lose her memory and was taken prisoner by a neo-nazi gang.

Josh Foley: Elixir.  The son of trailer-trash facists Josh was rejected by his family the second his healing powers emerged.  He is brash and confrontational but has began studying Buddhism since enrolling at the institute.

Sooraya Qadir: Dust.  The Niqab is as ugly and visually uninteresting as it is patriarchal and degrading, it is also only used by the small minority of Muslims (Sunni) and is in no way representative of Islam in general.  Therefore, I dropped this so we could see Sooraya and her pretty face but wanted to stay faithful to the more widely used and traditional Muslim dress  One day, when I am better at drawing and painting I will draw Sooraya in full combat-sand mode.

Armor is one of my favorite X-Men now. I really love her in Astonishing X-Men. I think her power is super cool. I decided to put only some of her armor on for this though. Hope you guys like it!

Thoughts?
