Hylia gazed down on her incarnation's sleeping form. A soft smile on her lips. She had done well, as the boy. Her plan had been successful. Demise would not break free of his new seal in many centuries. Her dream had finally been realized.
It had not come without sacrifice though.
She herself was merely a spirit now. A ghostly reflection of her former self. Her divine soul and power now slept permanently in the girl. She had detached herself temporarily to reminisce.
She was preparing to put her consciousness - Hylia's consciousness- to a rest. She had been fully awakened by the girl's trips to the Sacred Springs. Now finally, she would rest. She would live her own life, not as a venerated Goddess but as Zelda. She would still have the memories of Hylia but would not be burdened by them so clearly.
In fact, Hylia herself embraced the idea of such rest. Something an immortal

Princess Zelda tidied her hair, tying the end of her bangs with white ribbons. She could hardly believe she had managed it. After all these years, she had done the impossible and persuaded her father to let her leave the castle. Normally she had no desire to leave, but today she had to go. It would be a long trip and she had to be as inconspicuous as possible. Meaning no guards. If she hadnt been a princess shed have done a victory punch, but she was too proper for that. Yeah right. The minute she was out of her fathers throne room the victory punches had been plentiful. All her life shed been surrounded by them and she was finally free! Okay, only for a couple of days but still, FREEDOM! Zelda sighed contentedly, and allowed her chocolate brown locks to fall from her fingers and grace her shoulders while she beamed at her reflection in the mirror.

She giggled as she looked at herself in the mirror, pushing a single lock of light brown hair behind her ear. Oh her father would be furious! But that was what would make it fun. Satisfied with her hair, she picked her book back up and settled into her chair, once again losing herself in this world of fairytales, where princesses have long, blonde hair, (the thought made her smile amusedly) and long to be free of their life in the palace. Oh if only these books were anywhere near the truth where should she be now? She herself was proof that such things were fairytales, no more. Of course, none of her people knew that. Her father saw to it that they did not know, and she found that she didnt particularly care. So what if they thought she was a blue-eyed, blonde beauty? So what if they thought she longed to be away from the large castle with its beautiful grounds and serene silence? So what if they thought she wandered around in magnificent dresses, wear

The wind howled madly outside the castle walls. Rain poured in through any open windows and lightning cracked, lighting up the night sky. The beautiful land of Hyrule rarely had nights like these. Usually you could see the stars shining bright above the people's heads, a full moon resting neatly in the sky. Hyrule castle stood in the middle of the night's storm, taking the full beating of the cold rain.
Inside the castle, sat a blonde haired boy in a green tunic, leaning in a chair up against the grey stoned walls. He was playing on a small blue ocarina with the symbol of the Triforce on it. A warm fire blazed next to him, the smell of warm stew wafting throughout the castle. A door swung open and in walked a plump woman carrying another large cauldron full of stew.
"I thought I heard you down here, Link!" She laughed, placing the pot on a nearby table, giving him a warm, hearty smile. Link stopped playing and returned the smile.
"Good evening, Impa. Am I disturbing you?" He

Her golden blond hair falls freely past her shoulders, resting on her pink with golden lining nightgown. The nightgown fit her well showing off ever curve she has, her figure is flawless, she is flawless.
She makes her way towards the open stone window. The curtains had already been drawn back, she liked the moonlight it soothed her in a way. She stared out over her kingdom.
'Hyrule' she thought, 'oh what troubles you have faced. But now it looks as if none of those troubles ever happened.'
She paused for a minute and now ran her elegant finger on the stone frame of the window. 'It's all thanks to him . Yes if it weren't for him Hyrule would be nothing but ruble.'
She let out a sigh and drew her finger back and folded her hands graceful in front of herself

I came to a stop, my knees bent and my sword in front of me horizontally, both hands on the handle. A quick gleam traveled up my sword, my enemies erupting in the black flecks of the Twilight.
My eyes wearily scanning the area before me. I stood up straight, swinging my sword in a circle before sheathing it, seeing no threat to be near. I began to walk forward again, my green hat swishing behind me every step I took. I spotted a few keese here and there, easily swatting them away with the Master Sword.

“Catch me, daddy!!”
A little girl, hardly over the age of four ran through the corridors of Hyrule Castle, laughing loudly. Her father made sure that he was always one step behind her, giving his daughter the impression that she was beating him.
“Yous so slow, daddy!”
Her father’s bright blue eyes twinkled. “I can’t help that you’re so fast, Hylia,” he said lovingly as he remained a few paces behind her. “It’s like you have the Bunny Hood on.”
Squealing, Hylia turned into another corridor. Deciding that he had enough, Hylia’s father took two strides to catch up to his daughter and scoop her up. “Gotchya,” he placed Hylia on his hip and began tickling her with his other hand. “Does this tickle?” He grinned.
“Yes!” Hylia squealed but her father didn’t stop tickling.
“Come on, Hylia. Just

I groan, lazily lifting up my arm and swatting the space beside my bed, hearing a surprised squeak as my hand connected with something. I let my hand drop limply over the side of the bed, hoping I'd get some peace and quiet, but boy was I wrong. I felt hands wrapping around my wrist; I knew exactly what was coming, and it was starting to get old, fast.
Suddenly, I was yanked right out of bed, pulling the covers and all with me as I was dropped on the floor. I clenched my teeth, suppressing the growl that threatened to escape my lips. I got up onto my hands and knees, twisting my neck slightly in order to see the girl who I called my friend, though I'm not sure why I still consider her that after she does this to me almost every morning.
"Sweet merciful Din, Zelda!" I cried out, pushing myself up to my feet. I swiped my h

'What is she to you?'
'Is she real? What is she?'
The young hero looked into his lover's eyes. What was she? Was she a dove? Like a love dove? Could she have been his guardian? What was she to him? "Who-what are you...to me?" The hero, Link asked.
The maiden didn't answer - why would she answer? She realized her role on her own: the incarnation of the goddess, Hylia. Couldn't Link, the chosen hero figure out what she was to him? He saved her from the evil Demise, from Ghirahim, from...evil. But how could he still not put his finger on it? What was she to him?
'What is she?'
The wind current grew stronger, waving Zelda's golden locks from her face. Now he could see her, she was a beauty. Very fitting for a goddess of course. I stand in my house, pacing impatiently, waiting for her to knock on my door. It is night. She said she would come at night.
And then, all of a sudden, I hear her telltale knock. I know it is her -- know, because only my dear, sweet, kind-hearted Princess Zelda would knock like that. I rush to the door in a fit of loving happiness. I open the door and see Zelda.
"You're late," I say playfully.
"I'm sorry," Zelda responds.
"I have something for you," I tell her.
"What is it?" she wants to know.
I don't reply. Instead, I pull out my old ocarina and play an endearing romance melody. As I play, I cannot help but notice her sparkling eyes. They only sparkle like this when she feels especially affectionate, as toward me. Oh, yes, I do so adore her lovely eyes. And her beautiful hair. And her oh so

I understand there's nothing left,

Impa tied the corset dress around my chest. "Oww!" I yelled, without caring if someone in the castle heard or not. "I'm sorry, your Highness. Stay still a few more minutes." She was used to hear me complain about my wardrobe problems. Though the dresses I donned everyday were splendid, gorgeous, amazing and whatnot, they weren't really comfortable, most of the time. I always liked nightfall, mostly to be able to throw the day's dress in my closet and wear less formal clothes. But tonight was different... "It's all done, Princess", said my kind yet rough nursemaid. I looked at myself in the mirror, taken aback by my own looks.
My golden hair was pulled up by some pins while my front bangs were gently curled. My blue eyes sparkled in the low light of the room, matching the jewel on my tiara. The dress I wore so elegantly looke

"Why, hello, Link! I wasn't expecting you today!" she giggled, walking over to him. "What brings you here?"
He smiled, reddening slightly, as he always did in her presence. "Hey, princess. I just came to say hi-"
"-Again?" she interrupted, laughing.
He blushed a deeper shade of scarlet, and looked at her. "Well... yeah. If you don't want me here I can go..."
"No! Don't! I really like it when you're here. Maybe Impa will let us go out to town, as long as you're with me..." she thought. "I'll be right back."
She skipped towards the castle doors, leaving Link alone, buried in his thoughts. 'I told myself that I would tell her how I felt about her today... But how should I say it without seeming stupid?'
He bit his lip; worried that Zelda would not share

This was all her fault. If it wasn't for her, he wouldn't be out in the forest, wandering, thinking, and wondering if what he thought he felt really was true.
The princess of Hyrule, the angelic princess Zelda was in Ordon for a vacation away from the palace. He had seen her once before she arrived... when he was delivering a sword to the castle, a sword that Rusl had made especially for her. And for the past 4 days, he had done nothing but spend time with her. It was yesterday when he realized that he... possibly... loved her. He hadn't stopped thinking about her ever since she arrived, and he was beginning to treasure the time that they spent together.
So why was he punishing himself like this? He wanted to see her... but... he was afraid. He was afraid that he would fall for her, even though in the back of his mind he already knew that he possibly loved her already, and she would not love him

Glancing over his shoulder, Link gazed at his daughter, laughing at how the sunlight danced in her golden hair as she concentrated at stepping in the footprints his boots made in the grass, her feet insignificant compared to the size of his. She peeked up through her eyelashes and held Links gaze with her doughy blue eyes before breaking out in a big toothy grin; she lost her first tooth only four days ago.
A small cry of joy escaped Reenes lips as she spotted a butterfly dancing above the blades of grass. She ran at it, arms outstretched, laughing and shrieking with delight. Link chased after her until they reached the edge of the field and the butterfly flitted h

There was no reply. The children sat on the side of a path filled with flowers from another time, trees here and there. Many insects lazed around in the heat, even creatures of labour seemed to find the heat far too exhausting for them.
Zelda sighed and lay down in the grass, feeling the blades prickle her arms, touch her ankles. It felt cold and lessened the pain from the burns she had gotten from the week before.
Link sat up and looked at her, she was his best friend and always had been.
They were only 8, still young, still free. No romantic tension had been created between them, it had all been fun and games right from when they first met.
"Zelda?" He repeated,
"Link?" She replied with a chuckle, it was funny to see him so impatient, it wasn't like him at all,
"Zelda, what if in 10 years time we fell out and maybe we weren't friends?"
"Don't be silly," She said sitting up, startled, "we will, I p
