My parents dropped a nuclear bomb on me today, but I'll get to that in a minute.
A few new developments - no, that isn't meant to be a pun - but where to begin? Most importantly, I think, the clinic has set me up with a house. They're paying the rent and the water and electric for the duration of my pregnancy. It's nice. There aren't any video cameras monitoring my every move, anyway. At least I don't think there are. Of course, the clinic can reach me there any time they have to. The house is near campus, it's comfortable enough and I've been told that arrangements have been made for me to study at home when I get so big I can't move.
Well, they didn't put it like that, exactly, but it's what they meant. As I think I've said already, Dr. Yamada and the others have an odd sort of etiquette when it comes to telling me things, as if they think I can't translate from scientist-speak. It's weirdly endearing, when it isn't frustrating as hell.
I'm filling up pretty qu
DiagnosisMelody, or "Mel" for short, was an avid traveler. Name a country or a city and she's been there! Mel is an archaeologist, a damn good one at that. Hut, being a women in a "boy's-club" has its draw backs: No one thinks she can take care of herself, very few men taker seriously and of course, she was hot; by default not smart. Mel had proven them wrong with this preconceived notions many times over, but it never stuck. Mel was leggy, with blonde hair down to her butt, with an ample bosom and piercing green eyes. Some speculate that she was the inspiration for ZZ Top's "Legs", but Mel knew that was bull!Diagnosis4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

It really all began the day I was promoted, shortly before the return of Princess Luna. Promotion in the Equestrian Royal Guard, for officers, is a great honor. Like many great honors, there's a ceremony involved. One that those in charge prefer takes place at a certain time, and excuses you from normal morning duties.
And so it came to pass that, since the ceremony was at noon, I was more or less commanded to have a long lie-in. That didn't guarantee a good night's sleep though. I slept very lightly, in fits and starts. Awakening, very suddenly, after a mere hour in bed, only to realize there was nothing else for me to do but settle under the covers and drift off again. Awakening, while feeling as if I hadn't truly been asleep in the first place. Awakening, confused. And experiencing the strangest dreams, all the while.
Now, I'm no exp

"Huh, what?" I looked up at Fancy Pants, I was still in the dining room, I was still in my chair. The unicorn looked at me in concern.
"I think you might need a doctor. You went completely catatonic."
"N-no! I'm fine! I was just remembering some things."
"... Then those were very powerful memories. You were crying. What was it you were remembering?"
"How, I'm like my mom."
"How are you like her?"
"That I'm gonna get sick too no matter what."
"I seriously doubt that my dear." He said kindly with odd mix of sternness. When had I felt this before? "Bloodlines don't determine a pony. Princess Celestia would never give that destiny to any pony."
I actually heard the voice growl. It sounded, jealous?
'Will you stop that already MY little pony? You might as well give him your real name, address, and tie yourself up while you're at it! Can't you see already? He says he's 'the most important p

Tilly's TummyI was ready to take my place as the world’s last fertile woman. Scientists had worked for 4 years genetically altering my body, while simultaneously extracting and freezing about 500 of my eggs. I could now grow to superhuman feats, my uterus could hold thousands of pounds, my skin would never rip open from inhuman stretching, and my legs would be able to stretch far out without pain, and able to support my body weight for most of my pregnancy. My body was manipulated, now my brains main function is to keep my organs working, and my uterus working to develop a full term pregnancy with extremely big and healthy babies in roughly a month’s time, though the scientists weren’t certain on the exact amount of gestation time. I was now ready to grow a belly filled with at least five hundred large babies.Tilly's Tummy3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Charlie lay in her bed, her fingers idly tracing patterns on her gravid belly as she watched TV in her bedroom. She felt a twitch and her belly dropped flat like a rapidly deflating balloon. She frowned in slight disappointment and reached over for the stop-watch and digital audio recorder on her nightstand. After turning the TV off, she started the recorder and stopped the watch. "October 22, Friday. Bedroom. Time is 10:37pm. Belly's gone back to normal, start time was 4:03pm for time of..." She pursed her lips in concentration as she mentally calculated, "Six hours, thirty-four minutes." She lay her hand on the bare skin of her stomach, "As normal, no signs that anything ever happened, no stretchmarks, no swelling, nothing."
She rolled on to her side and grabbed a notebook from the nightstand with a series of start and stop times, adding in the latest entry. "Okay, with this one, average time is..." she scribbled some math out on the margin, "Average time is eight hours, fifteen minu

Dreams. Dean Winchester wished with everything inside of him that they weren't real. He wished he didn't have to wake up to Sam having a nightmare and see the torture on his face.
Pain reliever did little to ease his little brother's pain from the piercing migraine that never completely went away. It lingered, lying dormant until he dozed off only to come back stronger, causing a shuttering sickness to swell in his stomach. His bones were sticking out where they shouldn't be, he couldn't keep anything down. The exhausted grey bags under his eyes were only getting darker. His clothes, as big as they were, were starting to hang loose on his figure.
It was like a demon was in his dreams; chasing him while he was awake then trying to kill him when he slept. Dean could feel the distance between them slowly growing further and darker each passing second. He stopped offering his help when Sam started refusing; rejecting every advance Dean made to try to comfort him.

Depression sets in right away. It usually is like that with disasters, especially those on such a grand scale as this one. This one, though, isnt like anything anyones ever seen before. No, this one is much larger. This one this is the one that will determine the fate of what this tiny, once blue and peaceful planet will be. Green pastures have long given way to brown decay that envelopes this world. Death looms everywhere. Its not just the things that are dead that are bothersome. Its the ones that are dead, but continue on. Its the ones that are banging profusely against the tatters of the house in which a certain group of people have holed themselves in.
Aryk sat on a wooden crate, listening to the consistent pounding of bodies being slammed against the doors and windows of the heavily fortified house he had been living in for the last couple of weeks now. He had stumbled upon it after narrowly escaping his last place of refuge. There wer

I suppose she was the first girl I fell in love with because of something other than a nice pair of breasts, and therefore, the first girl I fell in love with whom I actually succeeded in asking out on a date. More than anything it was her hair, the way it was neither curly nor straight, but wavy, and in a dark and dreamy shade of red that nearly seemed black. It reached down beyond her shoulders, and I could find myself staring at the back of her head for hours during our classes, mesmerized by it. Breasts weren't half-bad either though.
And she was a nice person. At least, that was the impression I had gotten during our after-movie dinner at Alessandro's. Passionately interested 70s music, loving long walks in the wild, preferred old-school horrors to the film we'd just seen which we both agreed was tragic. All in all, we seemed to go along quite nicely. After finishing our capricosa, I led her to the car thinking this might as well have been

A common staple in many B-movies, Zombies are often depicted as taking over the world. Having watched many of those movies I have decided to compile my own Zombie Survival Guide after reading the one at Kuro5hin.org. This guide will be posted in many places I know of so that if anyone comments I will be able to make a better one later. To date I have not read Max Brook's Zombie Survival Guide, though I intend to. As for the debate I've seen on the Fast Zombies vs. Slow Zombies, this guide is written with Slow Zombies in mind, for if they are really dead bodies they would have series body control issues, and under the assumption that the outbreak is a large one that would last several years at least.
Preparation: (what you did for Y2K)
If you are already preparing for a Zombie invasion, lets face it; you don't need this guide, and are probably a little crazy, like me. Preparing for a Zombie i

Then, for the first time, he noticed kids dressed up in costumes and spooky decor at every house and around town. He liked the scary stuff, it kinda fit his personality. "Hm, what do we have here?" Impmon said with a smile, "So this must be what Ai and Mako meant when they said Halloween." Impmon grinned when he saw children with bags full of sweets, "The night's right for a fright, Baboom!" Impmon said. Impmon dropped down from the tree and landed in front of two children, scaring them both so badly they dropped their bags in fright. "Thank you." Impmon said while grabbed both they're bags and jumping back up into the tree. The children ran away in fear. Impmon almost felt bad... Almost. "Haha! I hit the jackpot!" Impmon said with a smirk. Snake once again looked through his scope down his appointed avenue. Looking to his left after checking for enemies, he examined his escape routes once again. To his left, he had a door that led to a small drop-off, which would lead him out into an alleyway, which would force him to head for the street, which would lead to some sewers. To his right, he had a window that, when jumped out of, would cause him to drop 14 feet onto ground in the middle of the street. And finally, he had a trap door under the carpet that led to the sewers, just like the door. Hearing a click over his Codec, he double-clicked the 'No Problems' message back to Samus, who was watching the only other path through the city that was quick.
The Mk. III peeked around a corner and saw nothing, so it headed back to rest near Snake to recharge it's battery pack. Otacon, at its control panel, yawned as he sh

Liechtenstein raced down the stairs, almost falling over her own feet. It was Christmas morning! Her brother threw a party for Christmas, as he did every year, so Liechtenstein just stayed at his house beforehand. She sat down in the kitchen and waited for him eagerly. She decided it would be best to surprise him with some hot chocolate.
As Switzerland came down the stairs, Liechtenstein raced to him, the chocolate in her hand. She passed it to him, and he took it with a thankful smile. He sipped it, sitting down. "I'll finish this, then we can see what's under the tree, okay?" Switzerland murmured sleepily in his strong Swiss accent.
Liechtenstein smiled. "Alright brother," She said happily. She skipped off to tie her ribbon into her hair and prepare herself.
A few minutes later, Lily came back. "Ready brother?" She asked politely, blinking innocently. She twisted her fingers together behind her back eagerly.
Switzerland nodded, placing his empty hot coco mug into the sink. He followe
