I wanted it to look a bit like Alice in Wonderland being caught with her hand in the cookie jar. When you're caught doing something you know you shouldn't be doing it alters your perception of the situation and forces you to make a conscious decision. I was interested in representing the point of decision (which always exists even if you're not aware of it), where you'll have to choose between the good and the bad, or in this case between the deadly sin of gluttony and the virtue of abstinence.
Note: Yes, the halo is very much intentional. I wanted the look to be reminiscent of an iconic portrait of a saint.
I wanted this lap top skin to have a theme of how learning can be cool- and I found this quote by Martin H. Fischer that I love that said, "All the world is a laboratory to the inquiring mind" so I went off of that and took a scientist themed approach.

So i'm not much of a cake decorator (srsly, i only just learned how to make buttercream icing a couple of weeks ago lol), but i thought i'd try my hand at making a spiffy looking cupcake for this competition
Yes, it is three tiers high and yes that is its actual size (my Fella is a point of size reference lol. My Fella is also a light gray-pink because apparently it went through the wash with something red. Idk how that happened either)
Everything on the cupcake except for the "10" sign is edible! It's a basic chocolate cupcake with chocolate buttercream icing and rainbow sprinkles. The emoticons are gobstoppers which i drew on using black food colouring and a shonky paintbrush |D
I wanted to do a fanart since I saw the movie, and now that I´ve finally read the book I´ve decided to do a cover illustration of the book Howl´s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones instead!
The Characters look different in the book, even the moving castle itself, and they are a bit different in their personalities. I got the feeling the movie tones their character traits down a lot I loved the book, every word is worth reading!
I think it doesn´t much look like a cover thou, I really need to work on that.
