Black NightOne slice, another scar. A blade of relief, a moment of control.Black Night4 years ago in Emotional More Like This
Nurse the wound, shake with regret.
Dwell in darkness, grow in despair.
Learn to hate, forget to fly.
Another night, a need to cope, a longing to feel nothing.
Turn the lights out, curl up with blackness.
Shut the world out, hope for the best.
Believe it'll get better, pretend it didn't happen.
Cry silently, don't let the world see; know it'll all make sense someday.

He lit the cigarette and took a long drag in his lungs, feeling the poison run out in his veins and the nicotine work its own magic in his brain. It was cold, but there was still no snow even though there were only a few days until Christmas.
He was completely lost in his mind and didn't hear the moving feet coming towards his hiding place; it wasn't until he saw the bushy brown mane he released that he'd been caught.
He had been caught with a mugglething by the one who he always teased for having muggleblood and wearing muggleclothing, Fuck.
She just looked at him, she had red marks down her cheeks and her eyes where a bit puffy, both probably from crying he guessed. He wondered what she'd been crying for, or for whom. Since she wasn't the one to whine and cry, that was more Lavenders job.
"Can I get a cigarette?"
He just stared at her, had she just asked him for a cigarette? Had the prude and proud Hermione Granger a.k.a Head girl asked for a smoke?
"Hey! I asked

Her new apartment was not far from the station and it was a nice and quiet stroll to it, the air was filled with flavors steeming from the small cafeshops and people was running home with last hour gifts in big bags, It had started to lightly snow which is not so common in the middle of London.
She found her apartment building and of course she had the apartment which was at the top, with no elevator. She went in followed by Draco and she looked around, the apartment was simple, white walls, boring floor, her twin bed, and nothing else, the kitchen was small but cozy and the bathroom was also small but it was enough for her and her guest.
"well as you can see I need to do some shopping tomorrow" she said and sat down on one side of the bed and opened their food boxes, He sat down opposite to her and they started to eat, snow falling on the outside and they could still not feel the wonders of Christmas even though it was the next morning.
"It would be very nice if you co

Next morning, when Hermione came into the Great Hall, it was pretty loud and of course, there was only one topic. The ball!
Annoyed, she sighed and sat down opposite of Harry and Ron. Both of them were also talking about this event and Hermione's eyes narrowed to slits.
"Don't you know any other topic of discussion?" she snapped at them. Half the table turned around to stare at her.
"But Hermione..." George began, grinning.
"...the ball is the event of the year!" Fred ended and grinning from ear to ear.
"Yes, but there isn't any reason to make such a big fuss about it..." the brunette contradicted and turned to her breakfast. She wasn't in the mood for discussing this further and possibly even starting a fight.
It just wasn't worth it.
"What's wrong, Hermione?" Ron inquired and looked at her expectantly.
"Well, guess what's wrong? The ball's probably going to be just a fiasco like in fourth year," she snapped and stood up abruptly. The memories of that ball were still fresh.

"Father, I seriously doubt that we had this much luggage when we left London," said Hermione Granger as she frowned, watching some of the ship's crew unload boxes upon boxes of their luggage.
With France recovering from the aftermath of its former emperor, shopping in Paris seemed the least bit important to Hermione. But her mother would hear none of it, and insisted that she needed new clothes for her arrival in London.
They had made the trip with her father's friend and fellow wizard, Lord Sirius. There were quite a few wizards left in high society. Of course they had to keep that a secret from the muggles, or non-magic people, who were in the high society as well. Hermione came from a long line of witches and wizards on both sides of her family. When the time came for her to go to school, she was sent off to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Her mother thought that Beauxbatons would help mold Hermione into a proper young lady. But if Hermione had had her way, she would have

Disclaimer: The Harry Potter universe belongs to JK Rowling, and I just play around in it for fun.
It was the first Christmas Eve after the war. Hermione was overjoyed to be spending it with her parents, who, memories restored, were back from Australia. Around ten, the two glasses of wine she'd drunk had her yawning. "You'd best get to bed," her mother said, "Since you'll be going to the Weasleys so early tomorrow."
The Weasleys liked to begin their Christmas Day at the unholy hour of six in the morning. But Hermione wasn't going to complain. It was her first Christmas as Ron's girlfriend. She wondered what he would give h

I crept silently through the vast halls; the shadows my cloak of darkness. My bare feet balanced on their toes as I darted from one shadow to the next. My ears were focusing on picking up any slight sound, my eyes for any sign of movement. My heart was pounding in my chest, my fear of being caught growing constantly.
I let out a sigh of relief as my eyes lay on the statue I had been searching for. It was one of a great, bearded man, his robes billowing around him, and on his palm, Hogwarts on a cloud. The founder. Draco and I had decided to meet here before walking to Snape's office; however I had not seen any sight of him yet.
My eyes were so focused on searching for a little patch of platinum locks, I didn't notice the dark figure creeping towards me. Suddenly a hand shot out, muffling my scream, and a second one pinned my wand arm painfully behind my back. I felt a tear slip through my lashes at the pain, and a soft voice whis

The rest of the days passed in a flash and after what felt like ten hours after her conflict with Malfoy in front of the classroom, it was already Friday. Even it was total rubbish, the days had passed much to fast for her.
So, Friday morning, she was sitting in the Great Hall and was going to go to Diagon Alley with the others to get ready for the ball. She still wasn't happy with this whole arrangement, but another thought was giving her even more problems: Draco Malfoy.
In her opinion, she had been thinking much too much about that blonde wannabe. In addition to that, Ginny's words were still buzzing around in her head.
Was he really lonely? Had his parents really never given him any love? But, Merlin's beard, that wasn't any of her business! Still, her thoughts didn't just vanish by themselves; on the contrary, she had the felling that they got stronger, the more she tried to get rid of them.
But she didn't like Malfoy and she wouldn't help h

Throughout the whole day
Hide all my pain
That will never go away
Feel the tears coming
But I don't let them out
Keep my depression bottled
Don't even shout
Go home and am reminded again
Of the pain I can not bear
Add yet another mark
See if you care
Another day rises
I run out the door
Put on my fake smile
And endure all the pain once more
