Sweet.Casually flipping through the channels on TV, the doorbell ringing was a welcome break for Christian.
"Door's open," he called out, expecting whoever it was to make their way in. The door swung open, but a hand caught it in time, before the handle hit against the wall. He knew that there was only one person out there capable of more-or-less wrestling with his door.
"Al," he smiled, turning his attention towards the door, and the boy standing there, with an inscrutable expression on his face.
"I didn't slam the door," his reply was prompt.
Christian laughed. "I didn't say you did, love."
Alastair rolled his eyes mockingly, at the "endearing" nickname. He would often pretend to be bothered by it, but in reality, he was quite fond of it...of course, as long as no one else was there.
"You really should do something about that door, Chris." he muttered, as he took a seat beside said person. "One day, the handle's gonna bust a hole in the wall."
"You've just gotta be gentler with it,"

Stuck in your next class, you were far too distracted to hear what the teacher had really been talking about. But, considering it was the first day, and you'd been fed the drivel of class syllabuses and responsibilities twice already, you figured that giving it a miss the third time round wouldn't affect you too bad. You scoured your copy of the 'Student Guide', which you'd carelessly shoved into, and now had retrieved from the recesses of your backpack. You had this completely sorted out.

Plus, this was temporary. You could slack off as much as you wanted, get into brawls, make stupid jokes...the possibilities were endless. Getting into brawls seemed to be a good option you could be just as rebellious as you wanted, and it essentially wouldn't matter.
And, then, once you were a girl, again, you could get back to your normal, nice self.
