Sweet.Casually flipping through the channels on TV, the doorbell ringing was a welcome break for Christian.
"Door's open," he called out, expecting whoever it was to make their way in. The door swung open, but a hand caught it in time, before the handle hit against the wall. He knew that there was only one person out there capable of more-or-less wrestling with his door.
"Al," he smiled, turning his attention towards the door, and the boy standing there, with an inscrutable expression on his face.
"I didn't slam the door," his reply was prompt.
Christian laughed. "I didn't say you did, love."
Alastair rolled his eyes mockingly, at the "endearing" nickname. He would often pretend to be bothered by it, but in reality, he was quite fond of it...of course, as long as no one else was there.
"You really should do something about that door, Chris." he muttered, as he took a seat beside said person. "One day, the handle's gonna bust a hole in the wall."
