Opening the Darkest Door
I have recently come across a most disturbing phenomenon in my studies of the Diabolic Infestation of the Soul. It seems there is a most frightening psychological conundrum when considering the concept of demonic possession even the most remote possibility of reality upon our earthly plane is the notion that just believing it may be true could very likely be the spark needed for the Demon to discover, seek out, and ultimately inhabit its next vessel of evil: You.
From the Exorcist through Paranormal Activity, generation after generation of “believers” seem to have come to the reali

The Fairy Tale, A Lifelong ResonanceA thousand years tradition of scaring children at bedtime continues for children of all ages. News of the discovery of 500 “new” fairy tales collected over 150 years ago [link] in Germany and locked away in a forgotten archive has me thinking about the enduring importance of these narrative treasures in the lives of human societies worldwide. FOR ANYONE WHO'S READING THIS A BIT LATE
This all happened about five to six months ago. Obsessing about this would be just silly, on either side. If you managed to find your way here by now and would still like to know what happened, I'll give you a quick summary.
There USED to be a BHB journal explaining everything that happened , but DA recently banned a bunch of groups for whatever fucking reason. Anyways, it turned out that Rai (Nincianda) was Kas all along and wasn't actually 13 and had been banned from DA I believe at least 10 times already? Anyways, she was caught and flipped the fuck out. Aisha was caught tracing and left DA forever, but she still uses tumblr.
Nincianda ended up being someone who drew badly but found out people thought it was cute for a 12/13 year old. She also ran around telling people crazy stories about how she was abused and other shit, but when

Reduced to AshesA Phoenix to Arise
If something burns your soul with purpose and desire, it’s your duty to be reduced to ashes by it.
Today, Lady Gaga’s throne as a reigning pop diva is a 24 carat gold wheelchair, emergency hip surgery forcing the cancellation of her latest tour – a betrayal more devastating for her than for the typical performer, given her relationship with her fans. Her body has finally broken in sacrifice to the needs of her monsters for constant contact and reassurance. The question now is

Sometimes in youth we play crazy mind games. One gruesome game was trying to think of the worst way to die. Or even better, the "which would you choose" version of the same conceit. Another was what would be the worst torture to endure. If there is one international touchstone that best captures youthful fears and wonders in speculation of what lies beyond the veil of death and awaits as possible punishment for our sins, it must be - to the few who have actually read it to the millions who "know" it – "Dante's Inferno." Who does not shiver at the thought of being lost somewhere in the "Nine Rings of Hell?"
DA Lit : Who We AreI am proud to be exclusively a literature artist. I really don't know how to do anything else. Here on DA, Literature is not necessarily under appreciated by most of the people in the community, it is just widely ignored. I think, really, many of us are completely okay with that. For the most part, we aren't here for popularity.DA Lit : Who We Are3 years ago in Personal More Like This
We are here for each other. We don't have thousands of followers. We don't have millions of faves. But for the most part, we have been able to find other artists that help us to refine our art. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I truly cannot express the appreciation and love that I have for my friends who consistently critique my work. One monstroooo, ChibiDomo, or any other of my adamant critique-rs is worth a thousand faceless, nameless followers.
We are a community of our own. There are many groups here on DA that inspire writ

Messed up dream...My neck is sore after all the weird dreams I had last night. I kept waking up over and over again. But one dream was really funny. I wanna share it with you all.Messed up dream...3 years ago in Personal More Like This
In my dream, I was eating popcorn and watching TV (which in real life, I don't have cable). Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I opened it to see ProtonJon and Chuggaaconroy at the door. They said they had a convention in town but needed a place to stay. Why out of all places would they come here?
Jon slumped onto my couch and turned on my brother's PlayStation3 and started playing Assassin's Creed. I sat beside him and said "I didn't even say yes or no, but I'm glad I got to meet you both." Chugga smiled. "Do you watch our videos?" I nodded "of course!"
Chugga got up and went into my room. Jon followed. I was a bit nervous because two 20 year olds were in a house alone with me... a teenage girl. Already I knew the situation was suspicious. When suddenly, I heard screams from my room. I ran there, only to see the two Let

There is no cosmic law that states artists must suffer many long years and demeaning day-jobs before a window of opportunity cracks open just enough to hop on through.
Fellow deviant Brian Kesinger is a case in point.
His first “day-job” in 1996—he was hired straight out of his senior year of high school—was drawing Tarzan for Disney.
Brian stayed at Disney and he considers every day there a part of his ongoing education as an artist. He most recent

"Ryan, what about your dad?" Brendon asked.
"What about my dad?" I asked him, kissing his neck. My fingers were knotted in his hair and his hands hooked into my belt loops. We were on the couch participating in obvious activities.
"What time's he supposed to get home?" Brendon asked, bringing me back to his lips.
"I don't know. Whenever," I answered quickly, wanting to do less talking and more kissing. I pressed my mouth to his as his tongue slid passed my lips. I stopped suddenly, however, when the familiar scratching of the key in the front door reached my ears. Sitting up with my legs on either side of Brendon, I put my hand over his mouth and the other on his quickly rising and f

I'd like to announce that I have come up with some new story treatments for the show which I think will surely work. I will explain them as follows,
This story centers on Bart, which hasn't been done enough in the recent seasons. It is about Bart bonding again with Ned Flanders, something I personally loved in "The Simpsons Movie". In this Bart is signed up to enter a boys biking race, but he can't use his bike because it needs a severe overhaul and besides the rest of his family are too busy to train him, Homer has to fix his car motor, Marge has too many dishes and laundry, Lisa has to study for a test, and Grandpa who is personally against the use of bicycles refuses. Then Ned Flanders offers to train Bart because he reveals that he was champion in school bike races during his childhood so he starts training Bart and he lends him his old childhood bike, an early 60s children's bicycle, which he fixes up and fixes up and repaints and polishes speciall
Yet Another Rydon Sneak PeekVery short, but I don't want to give everything away, now do I? Not sure where this chapter (scene, rather) will come into play, but here it is.Yet Another Rydon Sneak Peek3 years ago in Literature Features More Like This
"Not yet. She was gonna go pick up a test today," he told us before taking a sip of water.
"I didn't know you guys were " I said, intimating at well, you know.
"We're not. Technically. It was only our third time," he explained.
"Damn, Spence!" Brendon exclaimed in approval. This time we both shot him an unfriendly look. "What? He must've got her good."
"Brendon!" I yelled, slapping his shoulder.
"Well, I mean, don't you guys ever " Spencer asked, looking for some sort of reprieve.
"Well, yeah," I admitted, looking up at Brendon with a blush. "But we don't exactly have that problem."
"Thank God, too, 'cause it's great," Brendon smiled.
Again, sorry for the short-ness of it, but hopefully you get the gist of it. Reactions?
Devious Journal EntryMe. Obviously. I suddenly got the urge to write and I HAVE to when that happens, because inspiration has been coming few and far between. Ch. 2 of the Teen series. Saturday. Finally, the weekend. Of course, I had homework, but it's nothing that a late Sunday night won't accomplish. My dad worked on the weekends so I had the house all to myself. Not that that was any different from the rest of the week. He'd always leave for work before I got up for school then be home and have gone to the bar by the time I'd get home from school. I wouldn't see him for the rest of the night if I was lucky. Sometimes, though, he'd surprise me and come home early already hammered and, well, you know the rest and if you don't, you really don't belong reading this, you idiot.
Life is goodI thought I would write a journel since I can use a skin today this is avatargirl2000's skin so thank you to you I thought this skin was cute as I do like PnF and my fave is Perry, this is very cuteLife is good3 years ago in Personal More Like This

I am in a very good mood cos I have made my decision with my options, I am choosing History instead of geography, food technology and my favourite MEDIA you get to draw cartoons and make films in media so I think I made the right choise
I couldent go the whole journel without mentioning bob so I thought i would let you know i am uploading another sideshow bob picture tonight, with cecil so feel free to check it out!
I Don't Write Sins; I Write Tragedies...?Long story short- I was looking up who the actor from Panic at the Disco's I Write Sins Not Tragedies video (You know, the baby-faced groom with the green eyes that pierce into your soul? His name is Daniel Issac, by the way, but that's not the important...) and Google, (oh sweet, sweet Google,) brought me to the page for the video on Wikipedia and I happened to come across the reason Ryan Ross titled the song:I Don't Write Sins; I Write Tragedies...?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
"The title of the song refers to Douglas Coupland's novel Shampoo Planet, wherein the main character, Tyler Johnson, says: "I am writing a list of tragic character flaws on my dollar bills with a felt pen. I am thinking of the people in my universe and distilling for each of these people the one flaw in their character that will be their downfall — the flaw that will be their undoing. What I write are not sins; I write tragedies.""
(Personally, I have never read the novel Shampoo Planet, but I am totally adding it to my summer reading list)
That is an interesting thought-

I believe in deviantART. Which is to more accurately say I believe in the concept and the reality of the deviantART community.
When in contemplation of the eternal wellspring that is the deviantART project and how it has become the engine keeping my heart and mind on a full burn as I strive to be an upstanding member of the community as well as a helpful architect and eager participant in the conversation -- my thoughts inevitably settle upon my attempts to define my concept of Gratitude.
