The Pelican is still around!!!!It took a couple of friends and me about 3 hours to delete all the images from my gallery. There are a few left, but no nudes.
I will keep an account here on DA and pop in occasionally to see what's going on but for the most part, I am moving on. It had become increasingly obvious to me that this is not the site I should be on. I have been looking at the front page of DA for 5 years now and wondering why I am here.
Anyway - I've blabbed enough about that topic. If you look at my last journal, you'll get the idea.
Here is where you can find me these days AND you can see ALL the nudes I had here on DA plus a bunch of new ones AND more coming. I just did another shoot with Scar last night, so there are some cool images from that shoot! I'll give you a hint "Fire chandelier!"
Also check me out on Google+
You'll find all the nudes I had here and MORE!!! You will have to send me a friend request. I like that because i
Crossing the LineAlmost 99.9999% of the comments I get on DA are very nice and complimentary. For this I am grateful and appreciative. I also appreciate the occasional criticism that suggests I try a different crop, color, or lens choice. Even after 35 years I feel it is vital to listen to all the input I get because there are occasional jewels of ideas that come from learned professionals and beginning amateurs alike. Sometimes I even like it more when someone who is new to photography makes suggestions because they aren't stifled by the "rules" we all learn when we start out.Crossing the Line2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Recently, I've had a few people say some interesting and absurd things. These comments are related to my having taken down my gallery of nudes. First of all, let me say, my motive for this action was simply time management. I run a business so I don't have time to respond to all the comments or even read them all.
The suggestion has been made that by me removing the nudes, by responding to horrid comments then hiding and blockin
Everything is Beautiful...NOT!In the 1960s, Ray Stevens wrote a song titled "Everything Is Beautiful" and it won him a grammy. Perhaps it was the idealism of those times or maybe a personal philosophy that gave birth to this song. It starts out with children singing "Jesus Loves the Little Children", a song I remember singing in church when I was a child.Everything is Beautiful...NOT!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
"Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red and yellow, black and white
They are precious in His sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world"
Like Disney's "It's a Small World", this song has a worm like infectious tune that rolls around in your brain like a marble in a barrel. A child, once he has learned this song, will hum it, whistle it, and sing it until adult ears bleed. Not only is the tune contagious, the lyrics are ideal and Pollyanna to the point of near myopic blindness.
After one chorus of "Jesus Loves the Little Children", Mr. Stevens' song moves into his "Everything Is Beautiful, in It's Own Way" mantra.

BEFORE WATCHMEN & AH!Well, the word is out: DC Comics is returning to the world of WATCHMEN! And I am drawing all four issues of the DOCTOR MANHATTAN miniseries. First sign of the Apocalypse? You bet!BEFORE WATCHMEN & AH!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's great to finally be able to talk about this project. I signed on AGES ago, and have kept mum about it, until now!
WATCHMEN is arguably the greatest superhero comic ever produced, and without a doubt my absolute favorite. Being allowed to draw these amazing characters isn't actually a dream come true: I never thought something like this would happen. I'm pretty nervous, but having fun so far.
My history with WATCHMEN goes way back. In 1986 I was working at Thunder Road Comics in Burlington, New Jersey, and I sold every issue of WATCHMEN as they came out. It was a pretty amazing time: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS was also shipping, so superhero comics were enjoying a banner year. The mullets, parachute pants, and

GAINAX not aware of the VS plugsuit design! This just in!GAINAX not aware of the VS plugsuit design!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
GAINAX only just found out about the Evangelion plugsuit re-design used in the Victoria's Secret fashion show... from the internet!
Unleash the lawyers!
Just saw this online. http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_md8cf1F8fw1r06t3xo1_1280.jpg
Are you kidding me VS?
Are you seriously ripping off designs from specific anime now?
The themes of this year's VS show are 'Calendar', 'Circus', 'Toy Pink', 'Dangerous Liaisons', 'Silver Screen' and 'Angel in Bloom'.
Having a hard time seeing where a show-specific plugsuit re-design fits any of those generic themes. (addendum: did some digging and apparently she is supposed to be a generic "toy robot" - to go with the "doll", "tin soldier", "stuffed cat" and "cowgirl action figure")
How out of place is this
Andrew Marr's History of the WorldProbably the most engaging and interesting history series I've seen in a while, thanks in no small part to the titular Mr Marr's entertainingly sardonic narration.Andrew Marr's History of the World1 year ago in Personal More Like This

It's currently airing on the BBC, but it can be found on Youtube - for now. I'd catch it quick: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQrKZiRhCOE

Cool new story siteI love choose your own adventure books. they were so mean-spirited and cruel and the funniest thing was they were marked for kids, featured kids and just had the most fucked-up endings. i think these books were what got me into peril. I recall one ending where you and your girlfriend confront a bad guy. He shoots both of you point-blank in the stomach then calls his secretary to have the guards remove the bodies so he doesn't get blood stains on the carpet. Fucked-up shit but in a way it was good because it taught kids that you don't always win and sometimes you lose hard. So be smart.Cool new story site1 year ago in Personal More Like This

All the medical tests are finally done and the good news is that everything's in the green and physically I'm pretty much where I should be at this age. I'm kinda surprised that everything's okay even my blood pressure and cholesterol levels, I'm not exactly a good example of healthy living. So far no indication of cancer, the most obvious would have been through second-hand smoke thanks to dad chain-smoking for most of his life before lung cancer caught up with him. Anyway, I pretty much got the 'you're fine' diagnosis along with I should exercise more.
The dental side has gone well too, had a follow-up cleaning and fluoride application and now will be going back every three months for checkups. Healing from wisdom teeth surgery is in the clear though still feels odd trying to get rid of food particles that like settling in the empty sockets. Still have to get used to flossing more often.
Anyway, the good news is t

You'd have to have a heart of stone not to find this hilarious. Yes, of course, it's offensive and blasphemous to Muslims: you're being trolled here. But it's blasphemy that's been dubbed into what has to be the worst low-budget sword and sandal film ever made. And bad sword and sandal films are something I have always found very, very funny.
Some classic sword and sandal moments.
Trust me: when the subject is bad sword and sandal films, you're dealing with a fan whose experience in the genre is extensive. This is a perfect example. The pasted on beards are adorable! I've seen fan films with better production values than this. The overdubbing is painfully obvious, and that too is something that adds panache to

just giving you the heads up that my PC died yesterday morning and won't start up. (after a day and a half of tech support/tinkering, it's likely the motherboard is fried)
I am now on my emergency laptop, but it's quite slow and there's still going to be some delays for all those who bought stuff from my yard sale recently. :C Sorry!
Hopefully I will be able to get a new PC by next week, but we shall see.
Just wanted to give a heads up. u 3u;
Since a new PC is very costly, I may do some sketch commissions soon, but I have to get the yard sale orders out of the way first.
I'll keep you updated!

Hey, guess what, everybody? The new trade paperback of The Underburbs is out. Simply called Underburbs: Volume II, it is a collection of Issues 4 through 7, and has nearly 30 pages of special features, like deleted scenes, early sketches, and character commentary.
If you don't know what The Underburbs is, then you should click on this http://underburbs.deviantart.com right now, and give my other gallery the love and attention it deserves. You can even click it before you finish reading this journal. This has been the end of the good news, and there is no fun beyond this sentence.

Wow I feel OldJust saw the news blurb regarding the death of Wapakonetta's favorite son, Neil Armstrong. We never met, but this man changed a way of life for an 8 year old boy in 1969.Wow I feel Old1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I think it's important to remember that the first man on the moon wasn't a soldier, sailor or pilot. He was an engineer. He was also reluctant to become the celebrity he deserved to be. When I watched the fuzzy blurry pictures from the moon in July of 1969 though, I knew history was being made. I felt more like Columbus or Magellan than ever.
The news today was that Neil Armstrong passed away at age 82. He's taken that one giant leap that all mankind must make, but his legacy will continue to influence me and dozens of others.

Being gay never hurt anybody. However hate and prejudice against someone based on their sexuality most certainly does hurt people. Judging someone solely by whom they choose to love is just as stupid as, oh say, judging someone on the color of their skin. And we're better than that.
Or are we...?
I might not be the best practicing Christian, but I do believe in the life and healing power of Jesus Christ and I absolutely will not believe that He's happy with the things that are being said and done in regards to homosexuals in His name. 3 days ago and today, we are commemorating 67 years after destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan, the event that put the end of the World War II.
Note, all this events happened after Hitler's fall.
Monday, August 6 of 1945, president Harry Truman ordered the attack, dropping the bomb "Little Boy" over Hiroshima, destroying the city almost immediately and killing over 140,000 civilians.
Japan didn't surrender.
Thursday, August 9 of 1945, a second attack was ordered, dropping the bomb "Fat Man" over Nagasaki, destroying the city almost immediately and killing over 80,000 civilians.
Of course, let's consider, the half of those victims died so much later, after suffering the ravages of the radiation.
August 15 of 1945, Japan finally announced its surrender to

Avatar is not the biggest thing in my fanboy mind, but it's still something I'd love to work with, yet I don't think I can apply yet since my portofolio is still lacking in variety and the schedule I'll have in these 2 years.

Poll Results; Unhappy Endings and Other tidbits...OK, the poll results are in and it wasnt close. Between the voted and the comments (And yes, those of you who did both got two votes--because I believe passion should be rewarded) the hands down winner was Proteus Will Change Your Mind. I've already started the next chapter--Proteus versus Supergirl and part 3 should feature Zatanna. Proteus needs to put these heroines into new lives. So once he's "changed their minds" what should become of them?
For Supergirl I'm torn between a college student and a school crossing guard (Or maybe a construction sight flagger)
For Zatanna, the original story had her becomong a homeless person.
I'm open to suggestions...with some qualifications.
1) ABSOLUTELY NO a) Exotic/erotic dancers b) prostitutes c) call Girls d) dominatrixes, e) sex slaves...I think you get the picture.
2) Proteus is NOT going

Gotta love the cockyness of fighter pilots.
Still I think the F-22 is overall a better fighter than the Eurofighter Typhoon but it would seem that it's close-range combat capabilities are not as good as others fighters and if the AMRAAM problem rumors are true, then the F-22 is in more trouble than imagined. As if the oxigen delivery systems were not enough problems.
Now if it's the size of the aircraft that makes it more easy to shoot down, then the T-50s and the J-20 may not fare much better since they're larger than the F-22. Then again if the russians and chinese don't have problems with their long-range Air-to-air missiles, then close-range combat disparity may not be an issue.
Anyway I'm just putting up this because...... well.... gotta go with the home team lads. Go Team Luf
