Hate to see you like this -Loki Thor-Thor rushed down the long corridor, peering into the branching halls for any sign of what he searched for. His mind still swirling that he had turned his back for such a small time and the Avengers had given his dearest Brother to S.H.I.E.L.D. He breathed heavy, wide eyes as more identical halls swished past him.
He skidded to a halt as he passed one dotted with a few armed guards. Taking a few uncertain steps towards them, he opened his mouth to call out a demand for information, when the door behind the guards opened. More guards poored out followed by the grim figure of Nick Furry pulling on his gloves.
Thor's chest tightened, he knew this was it. He ran towards the door only to be held back by the guards. He grabbed the shoulder of one, lifting him off the ground "You will let me pass," he growled, "Or I shall let myself through." Thor tossed the man to the side and pushed forward. The guards pushed back, taking swings and being scent backwards moments later.
Finally the guards dre

"Can you hear me? Please wake up, please, little one," he begged her quietly.
She didn't respond, and he couldn't feel a pulse. No, no This couldn't be happening. He didn't mean to kill her; that was the last thing he ever wanted to happen to her! Loki dropped to his knees and cried out in agony as he clutched her to his chest.
Tony and Steve looked at each other, unsure of what to think of this situation. Was it a trick? Should they grab him now or leave him be for a moment?
Loki ignored them as he clung to the girl. He never even learned her name, and now he never would His poor little German girl! What had he done? The color faded from her cheeks and his heart sank. Loki wished he had never met her. Maybe that way she would still be alive and smiling the way he'd grown fond of.

I will never lie again...Tom did not know how Loki had found his way here, how he had found him, why he chose to go to him of all people he could have gone to with this horrible wound.I will never lie again...3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
When he had returned home, Loki had been sitting on his couch, limp, head tilted to the side, blood dripping on the leather pillows out of his mouth.
Tom was not the kind of man who would think about what to do when a god sat in his living room, bleeding all over his couch.
He was the kind of man who would hurry towards the wounded, grabbing him by the shoulders, hastily asking what had happened before noticing that... the man could not speak to him.
When Loki slowly raised his head, looking at him with red-rimmed, half-closed eyes, Tom could see where all the blood came from.
It was not Loki's mouth that was bleeding.
It were his lips. His lips, connected by a thick, waxed thread, sewn together with rough, heavy-handed stitches.
There were no more words necessary.
Tom did not ask any more questions. The look in Loki's eyes spok

"What's it like playing Loki in the Avengers?" one woman asked.
"Ah well, it's great, actually." The young actor answered honestly, "I mean, anyone that's seen the Thor movie knows that Loki is this poor man that learns his whole life was a lie and that he was really this terrible monster, and that heart break is what really casts his character in the Avengers because... all that hurt and pain really forms a shell over him and turns him to all these dark and evil things. And he's such a reliable character that I just fell in love with him all over again."
"What about working with the other actors like Robert Downey and Chris Evans?" another asked.
Tom unconsciously pulled on his shirt and messed with the bottom of his jacket, giving a bit of a smile, "Well it definitely keeps things interesting whenever I was on set with them, but really, it w

"Stop that, Chris!" she scowled, "It's disgusting and you're bleeding." Chris paused and looked down at his finger, but then stuck it in his mouth to get rid of the blood. Scarlet made a face but Jeremy shrugged.
"Life's natural Band-Aid." he said, but Scarlet still didn't like it.
"You need to calm down there big guy," Robert said from across the circle of chairs, "You're gonna put a hole in the ground if you keep tapping your foot like that."
"Yeah," Evans agreed from beside the Aussie, "I can feel the vibration through the floor."
"Sorry," Chris tried to stop but he couldn't. He eventually pressed a hand to his knee but that still didn't work, "I'm just excited." he leaned back into the chair and looked back at the gate, his knee bouncin

He couldn't take it. It was quiet. The Tower was full of people, full of life, but he was alone. Part of his heart was gone.
Tony Stark didn't have an easy life. He was successful in his job, had many lovers, many cars and more money than he could ever spend during his whole life. But it was just like Yinsen described him once - "so you're a man who has everything... and nothing." And it was the truth. But since than so many things had changed in his life.
Of course he went through more ordeals, but there were also happy moments in his life. Becoming friends with rest of the Avengers. Becoming friends with Steve. His first date with Steve. Their first night together. The day he had proposed to Steve. He wouldn't say that his life was perfect, but it was much better since Steve stepped into it.
But now Steve was gone.
No, it was worse.
Steve was still here, currently nine floors below him, sitting on the couch between Thor and Bruce, as the whole team gathered to watch a movie.

Steve was on his way to the hospital. He was there every day. Every. Single. Day. He didn't want to miss anything.
He will never forget that day. There was a battle. A clunk of metal when a huge piece of debris fell on Tony who was flying through the sky. He didn't notice it, and the debris just fell down smashing Tony underneath. Steve's heart stopped seeing that. He rushed to him, but couldn't move it an inch. He started to shout for Thor or Hulk knowing that he needs their strength, but the battle was tough and nobody heard him. So he just stood there, falling on his knees, nearly breaking his hands in a desperate attempt to move the piece. The battle was ending. Thor noticed Steve and rushed to him. He didn't even had to ask, hearing Steve frantically repeating the brunet's name. One swing of his hammer and the debris fell into smaller pieces. Steve covered his eyes, as he rushed into the grey cloud of dust, trying to feel the piece of metal. The dust was falling and he spotted a g
The last call.Being the Captain of the team had it's perks, you might say, one of them being that whenever another member was on a 'one man mission', Steve would be the only one to get full details and would also be the first to receive any news on the mission. Steve never particularly liked Director Fury, but he never hated him. Well, not until that morning, when said Director told him about Tony's mission. It was dangerous, too dangerous and Steve argued that no one else on the Avengers team was busy at the moment, they could have assembled. Fury shook his head and explained that Stark was the man for the job. "We needed someone who could quickly understand and disable the enemy's machinery. Their technology is very advanced. We thought of getting Banner involved, but we needed someone who could leave the place fast." And that's all he said before he left

The guards at the end of the hall blocking the door saw him coming and didn't even wait for him to demand the doors open. They just grabbed the handles and opened it for him, allowing him to rush in. He slid to a stop, his eyes wide and wild.

Loki sat in his chair and pouted. Thor ALWAYS got the last cookie. Loki couldn't help if his reflexes weren't as swift as Thor's! Thor was a soon-to-be warrior while Loki studied magic instead of wielding weapons and climbing trees. Sure, most Asguardians were energetic and eager to play at his age, but Loki would rather read a book from the library. Thor smiled triumphantly and set the cookie on the table for after dinner. Loki was peeved that the last cookie was just sitting on the table, untouched. He urged for Thor to turn around. All of the sudden, there was a crash behind them and Thor swiveled in his seat. Loki took this opportunity to grab the cookie from the table and retreat. He ran down the hallway, and he heard Thor's footsteps ring out after him. Loki smiled. The cookie was all his. He took a big bite, easily munching out half the cookie.

Chris groaned as he threw his jacket onto the counter. It was so, so tiring playing the role of The Huntsman, much less tiring than it was to play Thor, the clueless god. Playing a tired, depressed drunkard had made Chris feel like one himself, and he had even developed a distinction between The Huntsman and Thor in his mind. "Come to bed."
It was past midnight. Steve was standing in Tony's lab, near the entrance, watching his boyfriend sitting at the desk, back slumped, hands constantly moving, as he was reaching them for new tools, never stopping, never slowing down.
"In a minute," came the short reply.
"You said that an hour ago.." blond sighed deeply. Lately Tony spent most of his nights working. It wasn't nothing new, he usually did that, but what followed it, was sleeping till noon. Now, he was coming back nearly at dawn, just to get 1-2 hours of shallow sleep and then run off for S.I. board meetings. Board meetings lasted for few hours, and when he was back it was with a huge stack of paperwork and after few more hours of just reading and signing, or hanging on a phone, negotiating, yelling, pacing all around, he changed from a suit in his work clothes and was back in the workshop for few more hours. And it lasted for over a week now.

Magic, after all, was something that just women practiced: instead of wielding swords they drew runes, and everyone agreed that it was something that had to be kept in secret, to be a better and more lethal weapon when the occasion occurred.
But Loki was no woman, even if he mastered every secret of seid, the ancient art of sorcery.
Yes, he wasn't really eager to show off his skills either, but sometimes the mead he drank was sufficient to make him lose any self imposed restrain.
He didn't care being called an argr, an unmanly one, he didn't care about being called a witch those were probably the nicest among the appellatives he was usually given.
The few times it happened for him to be drunk and in the right mood during a feast, those times he was finally able to enjoy it, from those who usually scorned him to enjoy their admiration and it tasted so sweet, even if he fancied

The snow fell like small, sparkling diamonds from the skies, glistering in their own, natural beauty before they landed on his warm skin and all the layers of clothing and simply melted away, turning into drops of water that rolled down over the heavy fabric of his coat and shirt. His concerns held his mind occupied, the sound of his own breathing being the only sound loud enough to reach him as he ran over the frosty ground, the leather of his boots keeping out most of the cold, but not all of it. He'd feared that something was wrong the moment he realized that Loki weren't sleeping on the bedroll next to him, his fear only growing bigger and more intense when no one else in the camp seemed to have noticed Loki's departure either. Sif quickly suggested that the two
