Traditional Tuesdays #37Howdy peeps? Welcome to edition 37 of Traditional Tuesdays . This week, like all of the other weeks, I'll be featuring fifteen works of art from the Traditional Gallery. Any more than that might and you might loss interest or it could cause your monitor to fail in an explosion of awesomeness. I would feel guilty if that were to happen, so I'm keeping it at fifteen! The Traditional gallery is a vast storeroom of work that covers many mediums and genres. I've tried to show a good mix of artwork, but I don't have room for them all. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!Traditional Tuesdays #373 years ago in Art Features More Like This

happiness in the pants(which could lead to blindness)! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!**

Special thanks to my partner in crime, J-Cleo, for helping me write this!
Creating manga is quite daunting as a project. You have to worry about so many things and prepare for unforeseen problems. While I don’t claim to be an expert on the field, I can at least share with you my experiences while on a quest to create my own manga.
Bear in mind, this guide is geared towards individuals serious about entering the field or wanting to create a well-developed story. That doesn’t mean you can’t use this advice if you’re a hobbyist (more power to you!) but this focuses on taking it that extra step.
The Story Concept
The first thing you need should be obvious: the concept, or idea, for your story. This could be something you’ve had in your mind for a while, a sud

Over the past few years, projecteducate has worked hard to provide educational articles for various art forms. Within literature, we've seen our fair share and over the past 2 years we've used our own group CRLiterature to manage these articles to ensure as much of the community can see them. However, sometimes we miss people and that's a shame because the articles we've written as a community have been pretty spectacular and still valid today.
So to help people pick up the articles they may have missed, here is a list of them all! This is a great chance for you to read what you may have missed, or tag your friends who may find them useful!

I'm a silent person but very resourceful in terms of knowledge, especially in art. I want to learn alone. I like to discover something new. It's some kind of a challenge for me. I want my artworks to speak for me.

What name do you go under, and what are it's origins?
I go under the name Niles, It came about pretty simply, i wanted to pick a name that was a recognizable normal name, but wasnt completely common. Alot of the time when you make the move from graffiti into the traditional art world you get asked what your name is ...at which point i would tell them what i write, seeing as i had became used to answering with my graffiti name since that is the world i came from. and they would say "no your real name" That question bothered me....i dont like sharing my real name if its avoidable...it comes with the territory, and i would have to either explain it to them and look like an asshole, or just fork over my real name the first time meeti

PE: Fan Art vs Original ArtFan Art vs. Manga & Anime: The differencesPE: Fan Art vs Original Art2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Many people have come to me in the past with questions regarding whether their work qualified as Manga & Anime or Fan Art, same happened with many Daily Deviations that were placed in the M&A gallery when they should have been submitted to the Fan Art Gallery, oops!
Do you have doubts regarding the submission process? Wonder no more, we'll unveil all the mysteries surrounding the categories! :iconokie2plz:
Fan art includes those artworks that are based on or contain material such as characters, settings, concepts or universes in general that are copyrighted to someone else other than the artist creating said Fan artwork.
Manga and Anime art, on the other hand, is home for all the artworks that artists have created from scratch and are not related to any preexisting universe nor contain any copyrighted material.
Frozen Review (no spoilers)Saw Frozen finally. Gotta say, it was much better than I thought it was going to be.Frozen Review (no spoilers)1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Like many of you, I was privy to the ongoing “takedown” of this latest Disney cartoon through various forums and blogs online. And this is a spectacular reason why you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover. So much of the pre-release hatred was focused on trivial things (some of which had been changed without the community knowing for a long time) and on pointing out minor technical errors that I kinda feel like people were WANTING to hate this movie from the start. (And full disclosure here: I even participated in some of that pre-release hate.)
To be honest, after I saw it I felt kinda “meh” about it. But the more I’ve let it sink in and the more I’ve thought about it after the fact, the more I began to appreciate it (Which is always good). It’s better to have a movie start off meh and become a favorite over time than one which y

The Hobbit: An Unexpected JourneySaw The Hobbit last night. It was very good... if a bit long. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for seeing all the little details interconnecting The Hobbit to Lord of the Rings and all that, but for the average watcher... eh... it kinda dragged. I overheard several people saying they fell asleep during the film, and I noticed more than once a number of people fidgeting and looking at their watches. Still, it's a damn fine movie and It's a shame we have to wait so long for the next two films. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Having The Hobbit being written during the beginning of Lord of the Rings is pretty smart. You could effectively watch the 3 Hobbit movies and then immediately move right into the 3 Lord of the Rings movies. Kudos to Jackson for that, it'll be great to marathon run the two trilogies back to back.
This movie was, like the book, much lighter and funnier than The Lord of the Rings and I was surprised at how much from the books they actually kept. They

Inventor of Implantable Pacemaker
Dies at 92
By BARNABY FEDER
Published: September 28, 2011 on The New York Times
Wilson Greatbatch, a professed “humble tinkerer” who, working in his barn in 1958,
designed the first practical implantable pacemaker, a device that has preserved millions of lives,
died on Tuesday at his home in Williamsville, N.Y. He was 92.
His death was confirmed by his daughter, Anne Maciariello.
Mr. Greatbatch patented more than 325 inventions,
notably a long-life lithium battery used in a wide range of medical implants.
He created tools used in AIDS research and a solar-powered canoe,
which he took on a 160-mile voyage on the Finger Lakes in New York to celebrate his 72nd birthday.

Our tools to cope with life
The child remembers happiness and pain

To explore our worlds

Peeling the layers back we find
A fundamental sameness
And a universal destination
We dream of greater meaning
A connection beyond our souls
