THE GENTLE BECKONING...The gentle beckoning called to me, into the sweetest of NightsTHE GENTLE BECKONING...7 months ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
my spirit retreated, over the rainbow bridge I found infinite rest,
dearest beloved, do not dwell on the shadow of my soul's swift flight
or grieve without end, for with you and the love we shared I was blessed.
The hurt you feel at my passing is my only perpetual pain,
I am as whole as Eternity, shiny new again I suffer not,
how I wish you would not seek yourself to blame
for my dying, put aside these crooked thoughts.
The time had come, I could not deny my final Twilight,
please don't dwell on my struggle, my fight for dear breath,
you were with me then and I am with you now, brightly
entwined in your memory, our devoted hearts defying Death.
Nothing can unbind us, for sisters we are, soul mates forever,
though you still weep remember not my last hour's strife,
the cord between us is strong that no parting can sever
and we will one day reunite, remember this and celebrate my life.

A FAIRY TALEIn a pond of gleaming Twilight I saw her so pristine,A FAIRY TALE1 year ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
a fairy with wings inwardly bound, she had no claws
for defense but a spirit that shimmered pure and clean,
cautiously I approached-but she watched me so I paused.
Though frightened, I could see the pride of this shining thing,
as she fluttered her wings from her did magic spray and shone,
tentatively she stood, her strength was a rarity I had never seen,
a tear trembled from my eye as I knelt beside her throne.
Seeking-searching-her lumious eyes stared into my soul,
then to my outstretched hand she flew without tarry,
there she gently quivered before a harsh wind came to blow,
with a final look into my eyes she had to go, this fairy.
I knew her sensitive strength was a rare fusion as I watched her fly,
then I realized that I was this fairy, this fairy was I.

FOR THE LOVE OF CADBURYFOR THE LOVE OF CADBURY7 months ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
I wish I could have saved you, my precious gecko girl,
how I tried from Dawn to Dusk-I never gave up
as I worked to keep your life with mine safely curled,
our threads gently entwined, your soul was the honey in my cup.
Others said not to worry, my concern was my heart's too sensitive fault,
but they didn't love you and didn't know the love that gave wing to my faith,
I wouldn't give up on you-but how elusive was the help I sought,
in the end, my love was all I had to give as you became a wraith.
I had put my faith to be with you through a parade of years,
but our Time together was short and she was not our friend,
you were so young when Death came, now my heart is just a smear
weeping for what we lost...why is Time such a fiend?
I shall miss you Cadbury, clad in your chocolate-cream fare,
you were the sweetness my heart craved, a calming balm always there,
I loved you so dearly, now my heart feels heavy with wrenching care,
my precious Cadbury, I'll never forget you and the pure love
