Hello,

Another space scene, with nice chunks of big space cargo ships in it.
Hope you like!

got tired of drawing small ships. no sense of grandness involved with those. this one's based off the old circa 1912 Imperial England dreadnoughts that formed the spine of their navy.

Tech Specs:

Length: 1020 meters
Weapons:
7 "Titan" Dual Superheavy Plasma Turrets
10 Quad AS Plasma Turrets
12 "Occulus" AS Laser Turrets
14 Point Defense Anti-Fighter/Anti-Missle Octets
16 Captial Ship Warhead Launchers
2 "Fan" Multipurpose Warhead Launchers (15 tubes per)
8 Grappling Cutter Hull Points
Crew: 120 Officers, 2600 Enlisted, 800 Marines
Carrier Capacity: 4 Assault Dropships, 1 Fleet Shuttle, 12 Drone Interceptors

The Bastion class Battleship is one of the most feared capital starships ever created. Although nearing a decade of service, this exceptionally well designed battleship still serves in the NTG Navy as a frontline vessel after several small refits. Primarily designed for ship to ship combat, the Bastion is also capable of planetary bombardment with its 14 Titan cannons.

The battleship is also capable of boarding action. 4 Grappling Cutter utilities on each side of the ship can latch on to a target vessel, bringing it alongside so the cutting lasers can drill a hole through the armor, allowing the marines to board via 4 extendable armored airlocks.

Weapons and Marines aside, the survivability of this ship is the primary reason why it is still in service. The ship was termed near invincible when it was first introduced. Thick Titanium/Neutronium armor surround the entire superstructure, while the interior of the ship is a mass of honeycombed titanium beams, leaving no useless empty spaces. The hull is further strengthened by self sealing foam canisters that fire off extremely dense and hard foam into unoccupied sectors of the ship in case there is a hull breach.

With no real weaknesses, the Bastion will probably remain in service until an extremely advanced frontline ship is introduced.

This isn't one single scene, its three separate buiding concepts.
Hmmm, not quite satisfied with the perspective...

Just your run-of-the-mill frigate type starship.

Well, I've always loved the space vessels of Warhammer 40.000. So this is a picture taken from the rulebook of the tabletop game "Battlefleet Gothic" by Games Workshop.

Unfortunately the picture is split between two pages and I couldn't find it on the internet, so I just chopped it out and glued it together via the mighty and divine power of Paint Shop Pro :D

All credit for this incredible piece of art goes to GAMES WORKSHOP, NOT ME ;)

A number of cargo bearing vessels. It has been awhile since I last drew space ships...

In my life I haven't done much marker work, but this one was my most ambitious and arguably my most successful. This was done to represent the bridge of an exploration vessel from the Traveller RPG universe. It was my attempt to channel Cobb (from Alien) and Mead (from 2010), though it's obviously a pale shadow of those great talents (the production art masters!).

Marker on i-board, 1989.
