WWL2 THE RISE OF GOLDEN ANGEL, Chapter 3 pt 1
Elissa moaned softly and rocked her head to the left, then the right, and her eyes opened to thin slits. She blinked and struggled to bring the world around her into focus. Drawing a deep breath, she tried to make sense of where she was, how she got there
Anxiety surged up again and quickly she felt herself near panic as she looked around her. When she tried to sit up, a strap around her chest stopped her. Trying to raise her hands to remove it revealed that she was cuffed to the bed she lay on. Looking down at herself, she saw that she was only covered with a white sheet and white wool blanket, and over these were leather restraints over her legs and hips and she could feel her ankles cuffed and strapped down beneath the sheet. Her eyes darted about. This looked like the Batcave, and yet it did not. Drawing a deep breath, she tried to calm herself and reason out what had happen, w

They returned to the mansion in high spirits and Elissa seemed to have forgotten about her failure with Scarecrow. Clinging to her mother's arm as they entered, she laughed and declared, "You have got to be kidding! And she knew nothing about it?"
"I didn't keep many secrets from your grandmother," Diana admitted, "but some things are much better left unsaid."
"That is just totally wicked," the girl said with a laugh.
"Just don't get any ideas," Diana warned. "I'm way ahead of you on that."
"I believe you, Mom. Hey! Maybe we can, like, go and do a Justice League mission or something. It would be all kinds of fun!"
With a little smile, Diana confirmed, "Sure, I'd like that. But not until I get you clearance, understand?"
"And I think your father would like some time with you as well. Do you think you can g

Commissioner Gordon stood on the roof, his hands in the pockets of his overcoat as he stared up at the bat signal that shined brightly on the clouds above. With him were two uniformed police officers, both of whom watched the signal on the clouds as well. The spotlight that sent it there illuminated much of the roof surrounding it, but behind it and in the distance, all was shrouded in shadows, and everyone present knew that Batman would emerge from those shadows. The sounds of the blowing wind would mask the approach of the Dark Knight and tensions were high as the three awaited him.
A loud, mechanical click sounded from behind them and the spotlight went out, plunging much of the rooftop back into darkness. Only the two lights that flanked the one door that accessed the roof illuminated the roof to any degree. Even as the two policemen spun around, Gordon turned almost casually, looking to the shadowy figure who stood

The lights were low in the central control room of the Watchtower and when the doors slid shut behind Wonder Woman she did not stray more than a step or two from them as her eyes found that one lonely figure sitting at the main console. A familiar creeping began in her stomach and she drew a calming breath. She feared almost nothing, but this was a conversation she had hidden from for almost two decades. Finally striding forward, her steps were as confident as she could manage and she was able to control the shaking of her knees very well. It was not a long walk, but it sure seemed to take forever.
Finally reaching the occupied chair, she grasped it with one hand, the console with the other as she looked to the large view screen that was right in front of the man who worked the controls. Silence thickened the air around them and the tension mounted.
"Quiet night?" she finally fo

So much to do. So much to consider.
Darkness had settled hours ago and the house was finally quiet. Though weary from a long day, Diana knew that sleep would be a difficult prize to claim, especially with everything in her mind that vied for her attention. She lay on her back, right in the middle of her spacious bed as she stared at the ceiling with troubled blue eyes. With one hand laying on her belly and the other arm curled around her head, she did her best to relax her body, hoping that her mind would soon follow. Her long black hair was pulled to one side and was flailed out on her pillow and bed. Her spacious bedroom was dimly lit in the warm blue glow offered by the full moon. There were n

He wanted to push her away, lest she would make him act. He could've done that easily, if it was someone else. But this woman this woman was different. It wasn't just the fact that she out did him by scores with respect to physical strength. There was something else, about her!
She had taken over his mind
"Thanks for saving me!" she whispered with uncharacteristic modesty which was restricted only to her tone, and not to be seen on her face. What a perfect restraint!
"I " he tried to breathe out quickly and noiselessly, the usual technique he employed to calm down his heart. But that didn't seem to work. Instead, his breath got stuck in his throat and he struggled to swallow without wincing.
The cold expression on the face he had so practiced for years just wouldn't stick. His lips seemed to have a brain of their own, for they refused to close the gap they created, something which his original m
BATMAN: LEGACYThe Bat Cave illuminated as the door slid open and Batman strode toward the car that was parked in the middle of the cavern, and right on his heels was Golden Angel, a girl about five foot six with long black hair that was restrained in a pony tail. She wore a combination of clothing and armor, a red top that left her right shoulder and her midriff bare, a golden raptor symbol across her chest that had the wings of a bat. She wore golden gauntlets on her forearms, and red and gold boots almost to her knees. The bottom piece of this costume was royal blue, low on her hips and left her legs almost completely bare, and it was adorned with white stars. On her brow she wore a golden tiara with a blue star in the center that was flanked by the black wings of a bat. This was a young heroine in training, and this day the lesson seemed to be an elusive one in patience.BATMAN: LEGACY4 years ago in Drama More Like This

Most of the structures on Themyscira were ancient Greek style in construction, as their culture was largely ancient Greek in makeup, and built of marble or limestone for the most part. A training center near the middle of the island was one of the largest. Like most structures, it had a walled open courtyard all the way around it, four entrances into the structure itself, and large marble columns that held up the stone roof. The inside of the perimeter wall was adorned with gardens with a track of clean sand right inside of the gardens that measured over three miles around the building, and inside of these were the training fields for this facility, and they were all in heavy use this day. Four obstacle courses, one on each side of the huge, three level structure, were of varying degrees of difficulty for different kinds of training and were named for Greek Gods.
On the south side of the structure, a group of women had just finished
Death - BMWWWhen Diana of Themyscira came to Man's World, she had many things to learn. She started from the basics then, as if she's just been born.Death - BMWW4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
First of all, she learned about men, and that they weren't as evil and cruel as she'd been told on her island. In fact, there were many honourable and charming males and she admitted that they intrigued her. Especially the one, who always hid in the darkness.
With time she learned how to live between people and how to communicate with them, or at least try to do so. She was studying people's habits and traditions. She looked at the humanity with curious eyes.
She learned that Earth needed its heroes, needed her. She realised why it did and as time went by she got attached to Man's World.
She was learning fast, using that magnificent mind of hers. She wanted to understand everything she was seeing and discovering and it came to her easily. Until one point.
As the Princess of the Amazons, Diana was blessed by her gods. She had Amazonian p

Good MorningShe did not need an alarm to wake her up. The soft rays of the morning sun together with hint our clouds, when filtered through the glass of the window and diffracting at the fringes of the curtain, bathed the room in an illumination of a mélange of colors. It was as though they were sent out to bless her, the daughter of Gods as she was. She squinted a bit, as her eyes failed to accommodate the entirety. It felt strange. She ducked in reflex, burying her face back into the pillow. It seemed harder than usual. Something about the scent too it smelled like musk. She turned her face to the left, without lifting herself up. She smiled with satisfaction at what she saw. Her man - lay fast asleep, unperturbed by the sunshine. It was too small an amount to disturb him. Normally, Alfred would open the curtains, and sometimes even the window, to give a rise

Bruce squinted as the harsh sunlight hit his eyes. It wasn’t so early in the morning after all. Diana noticed his discomfort and drew the blinds immediately.
“Thank you,” he said.
“Thank you?” she repeated, “Didn’t expect to hear that from you.”
Bruce brought his fingers to either sides of his forehead and massaged in clockwise motion. He had his eyes shut tight and his hands were quivering.
“Here, let me help,” Diana said as she placed both her palms on his head, thumbs meeting on his forehead and applied a gently pressure. Bruce seemed to ease into the touch and breathed heavily. He opened his eyes once Diana eased the pressure. It was then that he realized that he was not in his home, and the lady nursing him was not whom he had expected to see.
“Hello,” he said, his voice quivering a bit.
