DeviantART's algorithm for Popular browse results is known as Fair Exposure. The goal is to maximize the display of the most popular deviations in a variety of topics (styles/genres/art forms). Fair Exposure increases the probability that someone will see something that they personally like in Popular results. In short, with Fair Exposure, the community is exposed to a varied cross-section of deviantART. It uses an algorithm that is "fair" in nature -- meaning not biased toward any topic, yet still based on popularity.

Needles For The Warm
I am sure you have seen the Warm Winter Project that is going on across dA. Basically =ToxicAlice92 plans to save up points this year in the aim to buy 50 dA hoodies and donate them to the homeless, dA has now said they will match the amount that =ToxicAlice92 reaches! Awesome!
Now, ~Xehara has created the Needles for the Warm project. So you can have a go at making blankets, hats, scarves etc and donate it to the homeless while get in the running to win some prizes.

My term as the Animals, Plants & Nature Photography Community Volunteers has almost ended, so this will - for now - be my last edition of the monthly DD summary.
