Silent TearsSilent Tears1 year ago in Concrete Poetry More Like This
Over the unkept promises of yesterdays life
In the depths of my heart
Reality slowly turns its knife
Over the meaningless words spoken
In the depths of my soul
I'm left alone and broken
Hidden behind a smiling face
I secretly cry
Trapped inside this cold cruel place
Where I slowly die
From the starvation of love
Silent tears fall like rain
A downpour of heave emotions
My heart cries in endless pain
For no one hears my cries
I'm lost in a stormy ocean
Where the winds and waves drown my sighs
Torn by my lover's lies
Her beauty so overwhelming
It blinded my eyes
A painted smile upon her face
But her heart was black
As black as the midnight sky's empty space
Weep all alone
My hunger for love
Goes deep into my bones
Lonely and cold
My body violently shakes
From the pain you cause me
My heart and soul forever aches
No one loves me the way I need to be love
No one understands me or cares to try
No one knows what I'm thinking of
The contract, Part 3 Being stopped by police isn't something either Jonathan or Clara have thought about, yet here they were in that exact position. The contract, Part 34 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"So, what is going on here?" the officer says again, getting impatient. John knows the best thing to tell is the truth, but how is he to explain it without sounding like a criminal?
Both men's gazes are drawn to the bound Clara. She is looking up at John. And she doesn't stop mmphing into her gag. It doesn't take long before John, despite his confused state of mind, understands what she wants.
He reaches down towards her, but in no time at all, the officer has his gun out and pointed straight at John.
"Don't move!" he shouts, drawing the attention of people around. The women around gasp and move away while the men just circle around, waiting for something to happen.
John slowly stands upright again, hands in the air.

Her fingers shook violently, like there was an earthquake, almost making her lose the pen she held. She wanted to do it, but it was scary. After all, she was about to let go of her freedom completely.
Now, an explanation is probably in order. The girl's name is Clara, a young woman of 21, brunette and green-eyed. She was of average height with a little over average bust and a good figure. It wouldn't go unedited into a fashion magazine, but you could never say she wasn't beautiful.
The guy who sits opposite of her and that asked the question is Jonathan. Like the girl, he too got brown hair, but he's got dark blue eyes. He's tall, reaching well over six feet, yet slim and fit. Not a sport star, but you wouldn't be seeing him at Fat Camp anytime soon.
"If you do this, you know what will happen," he says to her. "There will be no backing out, no safe words, and you have t
Prize for WhiteRavenLord part 2The sun was setting over the tops of the trees, to the west, as Maritha and her companions reached the Yuntai forest. They had left the narrow dirt road far behind them, but despite that, the guardswomen had little trouble following the elf's tracks. In fact, they became easier to spot the closer the amazons got to the forest's edge, as if the thief was taunting her pursuers, sure that they wouldn't be able to follow her into the depths of Yuntai forest. Maritha frowned. She intended to prove the thief wrong on that account.Prize for WhiteRavenLord part 21 year ago in Short Stories More Like This
The amazon warrior reined her horse in thirty yards short of the tree line, near a small stream. Ahead of her loomed the bulk of the forest, tall, gnarled old oaks, growing together in a dense tangle. It was impossible to see more than twenty paces into the woods through the thick underbrush. It would be impossible to take their mounts into those trees, better to go on foot.
"Amilla!" Maritha called out to her second-in-command. "Take Aisha and Tvirin; see if you c

“You are such a BITCH!”
This was a part of her job that Denise hated: having to deal with angry students. In this case it was Jenna, a student that the young high school history teacher had had problems with before.
“Young lady, just because the rest of the class has already left for lunch gives you no right to speak to me in such a way!” Denise’s tone was quiet but firm. “The grade you got is the grade you deserve.”
“If I was a cheerleader or a jock you wouldn’t say that, you’d at least let me do it over! God this is so unfair! Why are you even a teacher anyway, you are so not good at it!”
“Maybe if you spent more time on your schoolwork Jenna, and less time worrying about what you’re going to wear, we wouldn’t have this problem.”
“What do you know? You wear the same boring shit every single day. You are just jealous; you wish you coul
Sara's Internship"How's the first day of your internship going Sara?" Rosie asked me as we both went to grab a drink from the coffee machine.Sara's Internship4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
I shrugged in reply. "Seems like a pretty normal office really," I said.
Waiting for the watery coffee to fill up her plastic cup Rosie gave me a dazzling smile perfected from her years of temping. "Yeah it's pretty boring here to tell the truth," she explained in her spritely Londoner accent. "I've only been here two months and it's already driving me mad. Must be even worse for you, I mean, considering what you get up to in your spare time."
"Well it's nice to be doing regular things for a change," I lied.
I liked Rosie. She had been the one who had offered me the internship here in the first place. She wasn't much older than thirty, and was a very glamorous woman with a sparkling white smile and sandy blond hair that fell over her shoulders in curls. She was funny, intell

"So, have you hidden it well?" he asks.
"I don't think you'll find it."
Jonathan suddenly glares at her.
"You didn't call me 'Master'," he says threateningly.
Clara realize her mistake and bows her head.
"I am really sorry, Master. Forgive me. It's only our first day, so please be lenient with me, Master."
Although she said that, she can't believe she had made a mistake after only a few seconds.
"What a start " she thinks to herself.
"Very well," Jonathan says. "Then let's get this started for real. Come to my side and kneel, my pet."
Clara obeys almost immediately, rushing to him and kneeling down by his side, looking down on the floor, not daring to look him in the eyes.

SPECTRAL SPECTACLE: MirageCorp's Annual ConventionThe sun was deliciously warm; Kasten had no reason to move. For that matter, nor did she want to. It was a lazy - what day was it? It was a lazy day and Kas had no reason whatsoever to move from her comfortable cushioned windowsill. In fact, she had resolved, she was going to nap and relax - in this spot - until otherwise. What a comfortable contest, she thought to herself.SPECTRAL SPECTACLE: MirageCorp's Annual Convention4 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Kas lost the contest in under 10 minutes. The raucous sound on pounding on her front door gave her a quick loss.
Her eyes shot open and she fell to the ground from her warm and comfy perch.
Kas pawed around her house until she made her way to the front door. She was in no mood for visitors. Unless they were bringing presents. Or food. Both would be acceptable. Yes.
Kasten swung the door open. With wide brown eyes she scanned left and right. Across the street, a dark-skinned man in a strange black-and-white suit waved goodbye.
At her feet, Kas saw an ordinary brown cardboard box. There was no logo on it an
Shield MaidenCamilla charged up the curving staircase, the sound of her heavy boots against the thick stone resounding through the tight confines. Leading the way, holding tight to her shield in one hand and the handle of her sharp axe in the other, she could not see Arianna, her shield sister, though she knew that her fellow maiden was there by her side instinctively. Theyd been together as long as either could remember, and had been fighting side by side since the day they were old enough for instruction by the Order. Arianna had knelt by Camillas bedside for three days, praying to the All-Father for his blessing, when the plague had nearly taken her. The White Mage's Awakening - Aaron's StoryI walked through a swirling vortex of blue fog so thick that I couldn’t even see the ground I was walking on or my hands in front of my face. Then I heard her crying out. An unseen voice; desperate and frightened, and very, very faint. It didn’t matter which way I ran, I simply couldn’t get closer to her.
“Aaron!” the voice called out to me. “Aaron, if you can hear me I need your help. My friends and family are in terrible danger, and I’m helpless to save them. Please Aaron…please help them…”
“But how!” I cried into the mist. “How can I find you?”
But all she repeated, with her voice getting fainter and fainter, was,

“Ani Gets Her Story” by Alucard
It was another unseasonably hot muggy night, which was unusually strange in early spring especially in the mountains of Clearwater, Virginia. It had been a long cold winter which left many people wishing for summer to quickly arrive. Apparently their desires were being granted. Of course that would also bring lots of tourism to the area, especially one visitor in particular, or so a certain news reporter had guessed. It was only logical for her to stake out this part of the country. Her quarry rarely hunted in the same place twice. She was certain this would definitely be his latest hunting grounds with how the weather was behaving.
The beautiful Ani Williams playfully kicked her small bare feet back and forth as she stretched out on her belly her over the bed of her hotel room. Dressed only in a black tank top and thong panties, the young woman’s stubby fingers danced over the keys to her laptop as she feverishly searched through the l

“Where are we…what happened…”
Ultra Woman, White Owl, and Amazon Arrow were waking up, a couple of hours after they had encountered Parasite and had their powers and energy drained. The lights were bright, and they were trying to get used to that – as well as not being able to move. As the three heroines looked around, they realized their predicament: they were all hogtied, and suspended from the ceiling. They were still in their outfits – that was the only good thing they could take from it.
Ultra Woman was in the center, between the other two; and as she tried to pull herself down to the floor, she saw that the other two were being pulled up at the same time. And when one of them tried to pull down, it pulled her up.
“Hera,” Tania gasped, “we are all tied together…with my lasso!”
“Why, yes you are, Ultra Woman,” The King chuckle

She wasn't alone. The young woman could feel another girl pressed against her side. One of the other women who'd been kidnapped from the mall, she guessed. Claudia could hear the faint inhale and exhale of multiple people nearby, over the muffled sounds of the highway outside, as the van bounced down the road at high speed.
Claudia whimpered softly in fear. Where were they being taken? The young woman had no idea how long she'd been out. It could have been hours. By now, they could have been taken out of the city, across the state! There was no way of knowing. With every minute they spend travelling along the highway, the captives were

“Vell, you know vat they say, you can’t keep a good villain down,” Fausta shouted back. She turned to her black-clad minions standing around her. “Vell don’t just stand there, get her!”
The dozen or so henchmen all rushed towards the Amazing Amazon, but one by one, they fell to the ground, none of them even close to matching Wonder Woman’s superhuman strength and speed. In a span of only ten minutes, they were all defeated. With a smile on her face, Wonder Woman marched towards Fausta.

Denise had just walked in from the backyard when the doorbell rang. She had been laying out in the summer sun, dressed in her favorite yellow bikini, and working on her tan.
I wasn’t expecting anyone to stop by today, the young, single, and attractive high school teacher thought, as she walked towards the front door. Just as she got to it, the doorbell rang again. Denise peeked through the keyhole and saw a delivery woman with a package in her hand.
I wonder what it could be! She thought excitedly, as she opened the door. The woman was standing there, dressed in a typical delivery person’s uniform; in one hand, she had a parcel that was about a foot wide, maybe sixteen inches across, and about eight inches deep. In her other hand, she held a clipboard.
“I have a package for a Denise. Is that you?”
Denise nodded. “Yes, that’s me! Please, come in, you can set it on the table right here,” and

At this particular moment, she was carrying a tray with three pint glasses out to one of the tables, where three men were sitting. Two were casually dressed, in jeans and shirts, while the third seemed slightly out of place in his dark suit. Jean had already noted this, and as she placed the tray down she said "Do you want a little extra privacy, boys?"
"That would be helpful, Jean," the taller of the two said with a smile as he handed a glass over to the well dressed guest. His friend, a good few inches smaller, handed a few notes over to the smiling woman, who turn

Yes, as of my 53rd birthday I was going through all these. Except not in the way you'd think. I was bound and gagged in the trunk of the sports car. A pretty 19 year-old was the one who kidnapped me, trussed my up and threw me naked in the back of the trunk. And while I had a bit to drink, the excess of alcohol was because she was pouring it all over me and the back of the car.
Oh, and she was about ready to set the car on fire with me in it. That's the crisis part.
I struggled and mmmphhhed through my gag begging her to stop, reconsider and let me go. I knew there wasn't much of a chance. She was the daughter of a reputed gangster. As a brave, crusading reporter, I figured a way to get info on him was through his daughter. I saw her alone at a bar, so I bought her a drink and chatted her up.
Of course, I'm a guy and this girl was hot so I totally fell for her. Hey,

Chryseis, the heroine known to the world as Amazon Arrow, woke up slowly, completely disoriented. She looked around, but wherever she was, it was almost pitch dark. It was quite cool as well – it seemed to be the inside of a large cave. She couldn’t see or hear anyone else around her, but still she tried a “Hello? Is anyone there?” with no response.
She slowly got to her feet, and as she did, her head throbbed a bit. She vaguely remembered a sudden and painful blow to the back of her head, but nothing else after that. As her eyes slowly adjusted to the lack of light, Chryseis realized that she was inside some sort of large cage. She found the door and tried it, but it was securely locked from the outside. She made a few attempts to break the door down, and to move the bars of the cage, but it was made of an incredibly strong metal, and she couldn’t budge it one bit.

The battered Corellian freighter glided through space, powered on by heavily modified ion engines as it flew towards its destination. Christened the Troublemaker, the freighter consisted of a saucer-like hull with a tapered cockpit protruding from its centre, with an off-set cargo module on the hull. It was currently flying on a familiar course, making its approach towards the infamous moon in the galaxy: Nar Shaddaa, the Smuggler’s Moon.
Sitting in the pilot’s chair, Tria “Troubelle” Tzanti grinned as she watched the moon grow closer, always happy to be returning to that neon nightmare. Young, slender and fully of mischievous energy, Troubelle whistled to herself as she piloted the Troublemaker into orbit. As a zabrak, she sported short, torn-like horns than protruded through her short wavy hair, and her pretty heart-shaped face was segmented by traditional line tattoos. A smuggler by trade, she was dressed in a revealing yellow tu

It was odd for a high school like the Immaculate Conception to offer an honors religious studies class run by a non-religious teacher, but there had been an effort lately for the school to become more PC. Mr. Wilde never told them he wasn't Catholic, but it was obvious to Heather he was not. He approached the subject matter the way a surgeon might approach a patient, professionally but without reverence.

They had been reading The Evolution of God for his class, which has only confirmed Heather's suspicion about their teacher's beliefs. They were assigned to read the end for this class. Heather, who was a shoe-in for valedictorian, had of cours
