I'm in. Who's with me?I did NOT make this, just passing it around. And i know few people will probably give a shit about it
but it's better than none... I'm poor, so this will be easy for me, i'll do it for the sake of the internet.
But i doubt it will pass anyway...
Since we're at it, i might as well just share this video too.
I've recently just watched it, and people been sharing this a lot.

projecteducate is a group and all updates from individuals during their weeks listed below will be posted over there! So be sure to join or watch for the full updates! If you want to partake in Community Week by writing an article then just note the group with your ideas!
How it Works
projecteducate started with purely CV run weeks. Those were weeks focusing on a specific art form brought to you by your lovely Community Volunteers. As well as these epic seven days of awesome, we've now introduced two more themes which run on a bi-monthly basis. Those are Community Weeks, which include articles from members of the dA community - and Artist Toolbox Weeks which include a mixture of articles focusing purely on the 'tools' of the trade. If you're interested in either please note projecteducate!

Scanning And Photographing A/M WorksIntroductionScanning And Photographing A/M Works3 months ago in Art Features More Like This
A traditional artist faces a great challenge after finishing an artwork. How do they get it on their computer to upload and show the world?
There are two main options: Scan or Photograph. Both of these come with a horde of challenges and this article is to offer a starting point for the artist to experiment and find the best solution for their art.
There are a number of type of scanners, the most common domestic peripheral being the flat bed scanner. This article focuses on using a flat bed scanner and not a wand or other type of scanner.
First things, the scanning bed must be as clean as possible, clear off dust and pet hairs before attempting to use and make sure the scanner is on a stable surface for scanning. Some scanners will be sensitive to direct sunlight being on the outside, if you find that your artworks get a strange bright spot, do check that section of your scanner isn't being exposed to direct light.

I think it's some of the same stuff that attracts you to people or not.
Here's a snapshot of some of the art I like.... is this a frequency that appeals to you? Did you view these and feel a trance coming on?
Or did you just glance over it...
Let's talk in the comments, I have some instructions at the bottom of this post.

I try to give out the result faster than usual since DA is having promotions for premium member subscription. That's why I try to give you the result sooner so you may use your points for it. Though it's not enough but I hope it can help some how .
With a lot of entries therefore it took me while to choose top 5. This time, so many good entries with great concepts. It's really hard for me to pick 5 only.
I don't pick the top 5 base on drawing skills only but also the concept of their entries. But there were more than 20 entries I want to pick as winners :C. But don't worry, we will have more challenges in future.
I am truly sorry for who don't make it, not because you are not good but because we only choose 5 here. As I usually said for challenge, it's not a contest, it likes a little 'push', a little motivation for you to draw (it's also a reason why the prize for top 5 is just little). If you don't make it this time but I believe you earn somet

WHAT IS DEVIANT DISCOVERY?
Deviant Discovery is a weekly Journal Feature that focuses specifically on Deviants that have good art, but haven't gotten much attention for it. Every week, a new Deviant will be chosen, and a few of their artworks will be show in this Journal, along with a description of the artist themselves. This weekly feature will serve as an attempt to get under-appreciated artists more attention then they already have.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It will work in a similar way to Daily Deviations - either I could select a Deviant myself, or someone could be suggested by another Deviant. Once a Deviant is chosen, we'll find their best five Deviations to be featured in the Journal. Then, we'll give a short description of the artist's work, and a small explanation of why they were chosen. The feature will remain on the front of my page for seven days [168 hours; one week], so that the Deviant can get continuous attention. Suggestions could be s

I looked at it hatefully.
"This is all your fault!"
I attempted to throw the mug at the Arbitrator, to smash it, to let go of it.
Nothing of the sort was possible.
I flailed left and right. The mug did not budge. I could not let it go, no matter how hard I tried. It was as if it were glued to me with a strange static-like substance. It rolled between my fingers and from one hand to the other, but it was as if I were made of iron and the mug were a powerful rare-earth magnetic bearing coated with oil.
Why can't I let go of the mug?!
Did the Arbitrator's reconstruction of my organs have anything to do with this?
Upon giving up to prying the mug out of my hands, I turned to the Arbitrator and spoke.
I made my case calmly and clearly, pressuring various facts that my DNA couldn't possibly be on the mug and that I looked nothing like Captain and that it might as well scan my memories for evidence or something of that sort.
I have an idea DA!!!I know you are looking for super useful things to add to DeviantArt! Please consider this! It would make life significantly easier for people with or without subs!I have an idea DA!!!3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Somewhere on the top bar of the profile page, make an optional add on a Commission button!
If you choose to display this you can set it to either "Commissions Available" "Commissions Closed" or "Not taking commissions" for example.
If one of the former two, the button is a link to url of users choice, be it a journal entry or webpage, with their commission info.
Can you see how brilliant this would be? Visitors would know straight away if they had a shot at commissioning the artist rather than having to ask, and non-sub members can show this info without needing a custom box or having to copy and paste the same info in all their journal entries. C'mon DA, you know you love it! I don't need any credit!
As a side note, the button should be color coded! So if the button says "Commissions Available", it will be in say, a friendl
Introducing #dALinkSystemHello!Introducing #dALinkSystem3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I'd like to introduce you to a fantastic group and tell you all about it!
dALinkSystem is a Group dedicated to increasing artists exposure, by helping others and themselves through a simple and effective "Linking" system.
"Link another artists submission in your artist's comment box. It helps everyone's exposure and finds undiscovered art."
The Link System was originated by TheFulkrum and myself (Echostar08), in May of 2009. What began with a few "Linkers" has grown into a large "Linkers Community" of caring deviants, who utilize The Link System to help increase their exposure, while helping others.
Linking can be done in as little as 5 minutes. It's simple to do and takes only a little extra time when you're submitting a deviation. The little bit of extra time you spend to personally choose and feature someone else's art in your artist's comment box (or in your deviation description), is ve

Adding Journals to your Featured GalleryCommunity WeekAdding Journals to your Featured Gallery3 months ago in Personal More Like This
Your featured gallery is the first page that your gallery visitors will see. Most of the time, we tend to display our very best pieces of work there. However, the featured gallery can also be used to showcase some journal entries that you want viewers to see immediately. These may be important announcements, advertisements, etc. It would be great to know this neat little trick of how to make journals show on your featured gallery.
To make sure that we're on the same page (excuse the pun!), this is what the Featured Gallery looks like:
Let's get started!
Step 1: Locate Your Journal
To locate your journal, type the title of the journal on the search bar and click on "Search Art." In this example, I will look for one of my projecteducate entries. Be reminded that you don't have to type the full title, some keywords would do.
A Word About deviantARTThe internet can be a terrible distraction when what you mean to do is get up, uncap those tubes of paint, and do your best to commit the image that's behind your eyes to some vague approximation on canvas.A Word About deviantART3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Art takes time-- time to scale your own wilderness, sometimes in the dark-- and the internet has a way of leaching every last hour from the day before you've even noticed it's gone.
Then, one day, you stumble on to dA, and there they are: your actual peers, throughout the world, all striving for the same things you've been striving for; some are offering sage advice, some are heaping abuse wherever it will land, and a few are just killing time-- but mostly, you'll find artists engaged from both the right and left sides of their brains in the full-time obsession of art.
We're told that the left side of the brain is where language and logic abide, and the right side is where imagery and intuition brew, and for artists, the trick throughout their lives will be to reconcile the

A Brief dA WalkthroughI know you probably all have a fairly decent idea of all that you can do on dA, but you can't go wrong doing a bit of a refresher course!A Brief dA Walkthrough3 years ago in Personal More Like This
When you first log in (or when you click the "deviantART" link in the top left corner of any dA page), you get taken to the front page of dA. This is where you can search deviations, or just browse to see what's there. The "Popular" browse feature was just revamped to give fairer exposure to all popular art, not just the overall popular on dA. Use the popular browse to see what's popular in all the galleries. Don't want to look at all that? Refine the galleries to something that more suits your preference in the left-hand side bar. Want to see what's new, not just what's hot? Change your browse to "Newest" and you'll see everything that's just been submitted. Because of the way "Newest" works, it can be frustrating to browse, here are a

Gaining Exposure To ArtGaining Exposure For Your Own Art:Gaining Exposure To Art3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Being active on the site is probably the best and most effective way to get yourself and your art seen. Leaving thoughtful comments on others art will often result in them coming to your page to find out more about you and see your art. Being involved and making friends will promt people to focus on you and your art giving you a bit more exposure. Leaving critiques, helping to moderate groups, posting in the forums, or simply chatting it up in the chatrooms. These can all be beneficial in getting you more exposure. Below I'd like to outline some of the wonderful ways, I believe, you can gain extra exposure to your art.
Joining groups which are relevant to your interests and the art which you make can be very helpful in getting your art out there and seen by like minded individuals. The introduction of groups by dA has made it very e
PE: Street Photography for dummiesA brief guide to Street Photography beginnersPE: Street Photography for dummies3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
What do we need to shoot a Street picture?
1. A camera
Whatever kind of a camera is good. Either it is a ridiculously expensive rangefinder or an unbelievably cheap point and shoot compact. Either it shoots digital or it shoots film. Either it weighs a ton or it weighs few grams. ANY camera is fine as long as you have it with you. The most expensive rangefinder or SLR is completely useless if it's been left at home! So...Carry a camera. Always.
2. A public place
This can be out in the streets or at the beach or inside a hotel's lounge or in a diner place or inside a supermarket or a mall or a school or whatever PUBLIC place. This public place must be visible in our picture. And things must be happening in this public place.
Bought my first Porno (I am now a MAN)Warning! If you are under the age of 18 I recommend you turn away from this page right now, in fact why not take the time to check out other great artists like Hehalana, Nabari, QueenAlana, Rishumisu, TheAmazingWrabbit or go have a sandwich? Sorry but Medakas box its out of the list, chapter 2 was really boring to me, didnt got the gainax feeling i love, so i skipt it.
Also Nyarlko didnt made the cut either, i just couldnt stand the intro, i just wanted to kill myself, because when you became older you cant stand weird voices, anime was good solid, nice animation, really really moe, but feels strange of a 30 year old man, watching a naked kid tha looks like 14 taking a bath, i recoomend this anime for young a people new to anime. Seems to be a bit funny, but i just cant stand the voices sorry.
Ginga e kickoff, looks also good but aimed for kids, the story looking interesting, but after watching many soccer animes i will pass this one too.
Eureka seven Ao, also looks really good, solid animation and music, but im a macross forever type of dude. So i will skip this one too, first c

Style, style, STYLE, oh, THE styleWhat do you think about it? In terms of drawing. Is it important to have one of your own? Is it necessary to constantly seek it?Style, style, STYLE, oh, THE style3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've seen people troubled by not having constant style, people thinking their style is not original enough, people making a bold line between their two styles, people trying to get rid of one style...
My humble opinion on this is that you should stop wasting your energy on torturing yourself and just draw. Draw whatever you feel like.
Unless you're being paid for certain style but that's not what I want to talk about now.
What I want to talk about are all those personal pictures you do for self-improvement or supposedly for fun. "Supposedly" because if your main purpose is "fun" I don't get why you should worry yourself with "omg is this style all right what will my watchers say?"
Well, your watchers will get pretty bored if all in your gallery look the same. And also, there's not much space for improvement. Talking from my own experience, I was totally charm
