Characters Name: General Grievous "From Star Wars" Date Started: September 2nd 2007 Date Completed: March 1st 2009 Time Spent: 2 Months Programs Used: Animation Master, Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, After effects My Personal Comments: YAY! Its finally done and not a moment to soon.
First of all, I know what you're thinking.. "2007 - 2009!!" xD After I finished modeling him in A:M I wanted to learn and use maya. And it took me a while to get it and figure it out. I only really started working on him again January 3rd this year.
But what a year this has been so far. When I got maya in March last year, all I was doing was learning modeling. Thats all I ever did in animation. But in order to finish this character I had to learn more. So within the last month and a half I have learned: UV mapping Zbrush "making and exporting detail on the model" Rigging Lighting Rendering And a hell of alot of other small things
There are a few things I know I did wrong.. or could have done better with more weeks of trying to learn. (my main thing at this moment is that I cant get it to continously rotate.. but I'll work on that) But I think you all will agree I have waited to long.
This is the hardest model I have worked on and IMO, My best work. I am very proud and would love to hear what everyone has to say.
Flash animation trailer for the game Heroes of the Cold War. A project some friends from school and I have been working on. It's been on a slight hiatus after graduation but we're starting to speed up production again now.
Here's a video of my latex Predator costume, created by Scott Marshall, an awesome Canadian FX artist! I almost died wearing this, seeing as it was over 90 degrees out. Probably not the smartest time to be suiting up But I've been wanting to!
I forgot to put on the arm straps, leg straps, chest trophies in this video. Will make more soon! Also, I didn't notice until after shooting the vid that my neckrings were flopped up You get the idea though!
A lot more complete than the last one, with fancy moving menus, and actual content!
This is my first flash project that's included more than simple buttons, so I hope it all goes well. None of the artwork is mine, unfortunately, apart from a few animations, so all credit goes to the artists, who I'll be crediting in the references section when its done.
Also, to get round the lack of content for the 2nd and third cores, I've added a handy get-out...you'll see what I mean.
...approaching the system Tolarium, one of the remaining waves of parallax is in continuous transformation, something as a whirlpool, pulling to the stars for the interior, increasing its brightness and strength, leaving the inhabitants to flee only...
