- Geez, Voldemort, stop acting so gay!
- Bellatrix, stop groping me. Just just go stand over there.
- Tell me Lucius, whos the prettiest ballerina of them all? Voldemort gave a cold smile at the clearly horrified man.
- Sooo, whats REALLY going on between his lordship and that snake, hmm?
-Wait a minute, Harry said. You want me to put this Snitch where now?
- What we need, Voldemort mused, is some sort of sign that people can rally around. To keep the masses happy and unrebellious. Snape gasped. You mean- Yes. Voldemort allowed a vicious, cold smile to play upon his lips. What the Death Eaters need, is a theme song.

It happens every single year, the same feeling of apprehension and fear, and if you're lucky, relief. This is only my fourth year experiencing the extremes of it all, but my brothers before gave me a taste of it. I'm glad to say my eldest brother doesn't have to worry about it anymore. He has surpassed the age making him ineligible. And my other brother only has this last time before it's just me. I've still got two more rounds of this torture before I'm done... hopefully. There's always that chance that it happens to me today.
Honestly, I don't think my parents could care less if my brother or I got stuck doing it. Or at least my mother. She's never been loving to us at all. How on earth did my father end up marrying her? Oh, well, I do know. His true love chose someone else because she needed him more than my father. I can't say I'm not happy about that because then I wouldn't be here... And she wouldn't either.

The Autobots had many friends among the humans of Earth, the closest being the Witwicky family of course. Spike, his father Sparkplug, and his newlywed wife Carly had come to the Autobots' aid too many times to count and even called the Ark their home. Chip Chase had lent his considerable expertise to their cause several times as well, and though he had obligations away from the Ark that didn't prevent him from visiting often. Raoul was less involved in their war against the Decepticons, but Tracks was close to the young man and even owed his life to him. Powerglide and the human woman Astoria had grown rather fond of each other over the course of time -- much to the amusement of the more mischievous of the 'Bots, who loved to tease and torment the A-10 regarding his human "girlfriend." And of course there were the friends and acquaintances they had made over the years in their various adventures and missions, some of

One always assumed some amount of risk when they entered Wheeljack's laboratory. Oh, not that the inventor wasn't a brilliant mech; his inventions had done so much good for the Autobot cause. But his inventions had a nasty habit of melting down, exploding, or otherwise glitching at exactly the wrong time. Mechs had learned to turn and walk (or even run) the other way whenever they heard the dreaded words "Hey, come down to the lab, I want to show you something." Even Ratchet, one of Wheeljack's closest friends, and the Dinobots, who regarded him as a parental figure, had learned to exercise caution in the vicinity of the labs. One simply had to learn to expect anything when entering the engineer's domain.
So none of the mechs present at this demonstration were particularly surprised when, the instant he flicked his newest contraption on, a red-headed young human man popped into existence on the table next to the device. It was someth
Snape's EpilogueIt was the purest white he had ever seen. Blinding, almost, yet he was not squinting. In fact, he was not scowling, either. Severus Snapes trademark expression had abandoned him, leaving behind one of tranquility and content. He felt as if the overwhelming gravity that used to pound on his head, furrow his brows, and slouch his shoulders was gone. He felt light, yet stable on what was now soft, dewy grass.Snape's Epilogue8 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
All around him the brilliant white was fading away to reveal a small clearing in a green and luminous forest. There was no sun. Every leaf, every blade of grass, every flower petal seemed to emit its own yellow light. Severus could feel the damp blades between his bare toes, making him aware of his own nakedness. He looked down on his bare arms to find that while he was still pale, his skin had lost its usual sickly pallor. He touched his face, almost surprised to find it still there. He was still a being, still a form. He half expected to be a cloud of dust.
It was complicated

"And secondary announcer Spike Witwicky," Spike put in. "Looks like we have a healthy crowd here, Lee, with representatives from the Autobots, Decepticons, and wizards from every country in the world present!"
"Of course there are," grinned Lee. "This is history in the making, folks. Never before has a non-human race attempted a Quiddich match -- unless you count Geoffrey the Foolhardy's attempts at organizing a centaur Quiddich cup back in the eighteenth century, an event that's still the butt of jokes throughout the Quiddich league..."

Dumbledore's eyes twinkled with amusement, but he didn't smile. "Yes, I suppose it is."
They stood on the landing overlooking the Entrance Hall, watching the milling crowds of students down below. A lot of them were new, and had books clutched protectively to their chests. The older ones were shoving, yawning, or tripping each other up. Professor Flitwick was trying to land two Ravenclaw boys who were hanging, upside-down, beside the chandelier.
Snape's head was fizzing with fatigue, but he had found that insomnia, like hunger, sharpened his senses. And he took a bitter satisfaction in the fact that Levicorpus was just as popular with the moronic hordes as it had always been. He had known the little animals wouldn't disappoint him.
He turned to Dumbledore. "Heart-warming little things, aren't they?"

Bread. Warm, baking, delicious bread. Bread my family slaves over the hot oven to bake every day, yet never gets to taste.
A gaping yawn distorts my features. I can just see the soft gray light that precedes sunrise crawling across my ceiling and throwing soft shadows across the far wall.
Reaping day has arrived at last.
My stomach drops. It's best not to think about that. There's no use. There's no use torturing myself with thoughts of the coming ceremony. I've learned that well over the past 4 years.
I can hear my brothers stirring in the next room. Owning a bakery and having to run it day after day has reset my family's natural clock over the years. Now, when the sun wakes up, so do we.
I get up and slowly get dressed, donning the soft white apron I scrub clean every night after we've closed up shop. My large hands brush out the wrinkles and I notice the warmth already creeping into the ai

It was a hot day in London. To be exact, it was a hot, muggy, sticky day in London that seemed to suck the very oxygen out of the air, and so far the eighth in an unbroken streak of hot and sticky days that seemed bound and determined to suffocate the city in a heavy blanket of its own fumes. A ceiling of pasty gray clouds pinned the heat down amidst the streets and buildings, at the same time teasing and taunting the citizenry with an unfulfilled promise of cooling rain. Everywhere one looked they could see Londoners collapsed on benches or at bus stops, mopping useless sweat from their faces or waving newspapers in a desperate attempt to circulate some air. The entire city crawled along at a snail's pace, unwilling or unable to move any faster in the humid heat.
Outside a decrepit department store whose faded sign declared "Purge and Dowse Ltd. -- Closed For Renovation," two teenage boys putter

Severus didn´t want a child.
And yet...here it was...
Severus approached the cradle with feather light footsteps. It was a simple but elegant piece of furniture, made out of heavy and dark oak wood...an heirloom of Evelyn´s family, that her mother had insisted on giving them. A wealth of delicate white and blue covers and a veil of rich Irish lace protected it´s tiny occupant from the late October chill.
His long fingers drew back the covers to reveal the child to his sleep deprived eyes. A child who was no more than an hour old. A child that wasn´t expected. A mistake that shouldn´t have happened, as far as his father had been concerned.
He didn´t want a child...
Most people take parental instinct for granted...They imagine it´s only natural for parents to love their children. It just happened...But Severus knew better...In fact he knew from experience that it just wasn´t that simple...Nowhere near that simple...
And that was p

Percy paused in the process of capping his sword. For the past few minutes, he had been amusing himself by uncapping his pen, letting the ball-point tip transform into his bronze-bladed sword, Riptide. Then he would recap it and watch the blade shrink back down. And then he would repeat. Over and over again. Annabeth thought she was going to go mad if she had to hear the ring of the metal and the click of the cap one more time.
Percy gave her a sheepish look and placed his pen-sword in the front pocket of his jeans. "Sorry," he said, unconvincingly.
Annabeth rolled her eyes and went back to staring with increasing frustration at the architectural designs laid out messily in front of her. She was attempting to get some work done on the reconstruction of Olympus, but so far it wasn't working out too well; the side notes and calculations had started floating off the page and twisting themselves

Scorpius took a shallow breath as the music began to play. What would normally be a cheerful throng seemed more like the screams of a banshee as the organist played with eloquence. Was he the only one that heard that distant screaming noise? Everything felt wrong as Rose started walking down the aisle. She looked more beautiful than he'd ever seen her before, which made him blanch.
She was holding a bouquet of blue hydrangeas that almost perfectly matched her own blue eyes. He wanted to kick himself for helping her pick them out. He had sat beside her as they picked out flowers, chose where the wedding would be, picked the music, and had even brought in his own mother to help with choosing the bridesmaids dresses. In truth, he had only volunteered so that he'd have a chance to smell her hair as she enthusiastically flipped through brochures, and watch her eyes twinkle as she found 'the one' of everything from place cards, to the ridiculous canapés. It was his fault that she looked

Of course, he hadn't come home straightaway after being sacked. He had to stop at a pub first and down a few shots. That was his way.

I sat all by myself in one of the compartments, but after a few moments got bored. I decided to go out in search for Rose.
I timidly walked along the corridor, not meeting the eyes of the other students. I glanced into the seats but I couldn't recognize any of the passengers' faces. At length I walked into an empty carriage.
Suddenly, I saw smoke emerge from the glass door of the compartment farthest from me. I cautiously moved closer to investigate.
A pale blond boy about my age lay unconscious on the floor. His face was hidden in thick grey smoke. A ring of flames surrounded him and licked at the edge of his black robe. I pulled at the door but it was locked.
"Help!" I cried out to the empty corridor and hoped that somebody at the next carriage heard me. The metal handle was growing hot from the fire, but I continued tugging it open until it was too hot to hold.
