In The AbyssIn this abyss of darkness I dwell,
And to me it's worse than living hell.
Pursued by pictures of the past,
I'm haunted by the hate I harbour,
For memories that will forever last.
In this abyss of darkness I reside,
Though I won't run and I won't hide.
Disturbed by distractions of the day,
I'm forlorn by the future I fear,
But wisdom is a virtue they say.
In this abyss of darkness I live,
It's a place only I can survive.
Subjugated by souls of sadness,
I'm restricted by the regret I relay,
On thoughts of foolish madness.
Lie to MeLie to me,Lie to Me4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Tell me no truth,
this heart is cracked enough,
It's broken and scarred,
blood's seeping through,
the last truth was enough.
Lie to me,
Make this heart smile,
Watch it lest it frown,
of love and war,
Might send it spiraling down.
Lie to me,
Let your lips wander,
stray from words that hurt.
Leave my brain to ponder,
Useless ideas floating everywhere,
Useless, crazy ideas.
Lie to me,
Tell me you love me,
Tell me that you care.
Then watch your lies
nibble at my soul,
watch them throw me to despair.

She holds the blackest of roses,
And the dark petals brush her lips.
Her sombre shadow across her face,
Describes the bleakest of life's loses.
Such sweet scent floating in the air;
She breathes in the aroma of the black rose,
That scarlet stem entwines in her raven hair.
Her enchanting eyes are but a glaze,
Those wells of happiness have all but froze.
Thorns of iron dig into her soft skin;
She screams from the pain of that bloody rose,
With it's intoxication of simplistic sin.
Her haunting presence brings haste,
To a silence of a death nearing close.

Through the valley of hell,
Do I wander with eyes so blind.
In the depths of despair I hear,
The pain of so many who fell.
Lost within my own mind,
Trespassing on that desert called death,
Do I imagine ghosts of a sinister kind.
Opaque omens I disturb in fear,
With hollow voices of icy breath.
Lost within my own mind,
Swimming down that river of rage,
Do I sense wickedness on the wind.
A demonic destiny I know so dear,
Would captivate me in that clairvoyant cage.
Love EquilibriumThey say hate can kill,Love Equilibrium4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
But maybe love can as well?
If you were so enthralled with lust,
Would you hurt those,
Who turned your heart to dust?
They say hate does you no good,
But perhaps love never really could?
If you were touched by happiness,
Would you defend those,
Who showed you heaven no less?
They say hate will die,
But surely they know love can lie?
If you were haunted by fear,
Would you seek those,
Who helped you each and every year?
FearFear.Fear4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
It controls us.
Stops us from chasing our dreams.
Causes us to live in solitude, away from potential pain and also happiness.
A fear of heights is illogical; it's the fear of falling that scares us.
A fear of water is irrational; it's the fear of drowning that consumes us.
A fear of a dangerous animal is unfounded, it's the fear of pain if we're attacked that frightens us.
Our main fear is of fear itself. This is true.
But what causes fear itself?
The unexpected, the unidentified, the unfamiliar, the mysterious, the unexplained.
This is genuine fear, for how can we not be frightened of things we do not know?

Around my neck
And complete your task
My mind, already gone,
My body, yet to suffer.
I gasp, unable to terminate my life,
Yet, those rings,
Still locked inside the glass;
Reminding me of you.

I am without regret,
That much I can deny:
See the rush of memories to forget.
Crimson cuts on my skin,
But is this roulette a reason to win?
Am I without feeling or remorse,
That is something I can't say:
See the purge of constricting curse.

To see what it was all about.
Why the sun rose to birdsong,
And the moon left us all behind;
Just for a day because she did not belong.
I tried to figure it all out,
But it made me scream and shout.
How the grass is always green,
And the water a beautiful aquamarine,
Without the dust that looks ever so mean.
I tried to figure it all out,
Just to see if it was something to flout.

And the planets take turns to dream,
With nightmares that causes giants to weep.

My wavering knees,
The grin on my lips,
You're to blame

The fault of your arms,
The fault of your grin,
The fault of you.
Oh, that grin,
When it grins,
I become so weak.
Powerlessness to resistance.
And you can tempt me,
And you can sway me,
And I'll go with the breeze,
as it whispers it's soft breath,
through my hair,
and into my lips,
and into me.
And I'll continue to grin,
as your sultry eyes pierce
I can only pray,
that you will grace me
with your own
or contented lip formation.
Because then I'm reminded that at least
you're kind of happy.
Everything I've ever wanted,

or the need
or the burning desire
that i have
for your happiness.

Imprisoned in her tormented tears,
Wishing she had not wasted her youthful years,
Looking for her one true pearl,

There weeps a sad girl,
Reflecting her mask in the mirror,
Seeing her self becoming thinner and thinner,
And now she sees the echoes of her age,
Guiding her back from her heartbroken mind.
There breathes a sorrowful girl,
Staring out of her sweet nectar sobs,
Hoping to escape from her self-infliction,
But what is out there for her to find?
Except a dawn of despair and dereliction.

Yet the pain is such adrenaline rush.
Cowardly cries echo all around,
Cryptic strangers and faces of those who hush.
Here am I neglected and numb,
Following silhouettes with a face so glum,
However I'm afraid of drowning sand.
Wilting whispers echo in silence,
Whistling to death before angels offer a hand.

Journey To HellPart I:SuicideJourney To Hell4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
This is a tale,
Of a journey to hell.
Where angels will fall,
And demons just yell,
Of a mortal who could only fail.
See that mourning mortal up above,
Who is so madly but,
So sadly in love.
Pain swirls in his grim gut,
As she turns and walks out.
See that miserable mortal in tears,
Who waited and waited,
For so many of his tragic years.
Was he meant to have been hated,
Even when he knew nothing of her fears.
See that meek mortal with a gun,
Who's so forlorn with woe,
That he's drained off all the fun.
Hear his bleak blood flow,
As he shoots. Bang! And falls down.
Now that fool is dead,
With a blunt bullet of a hole,
In the front of his ruptured head.
Heaven won't accept his selfish soul,
And will imprison him, so he'll never be freed.
But he'll be welcome here,
In my humble abode I call home,
Hark, do I hear his spirit coming near?
I see footsteps on dry soil that come,
To me; oh how I shed a joyous tear.
Why must I be tormented

A scientist hollers, "My God!" as
A preacher cites psalms of Einstein:
"Science without religion is lame,
Religion without science is blind."
Truth is assumed by believers
In ignorance masked as blind faith
"An angel!" he clings to the lie
When, truly, his reaper's a wraith.
These murkiest sources reveal
What mirrors so often condemn,
That hindsight beckons man forward
To never be sightless again.
