Title: The Great Destroyer
Client: Soyu
Project: Creative Zodiac
Art Direction & Illustration: Jthree Concepts/Jared K. Nickerson

This is for the upcoming Crative Zodiac release by Soyu. The idea was to have an artwork based on a specific animal. I love dogs and have never actually used one in any of my design/illustration work, so it seemed fitting.
I tried to combine a number of different cultural references. including Chinese, Japanese, Egyptian, Mayan and North American.
I based the core character on my reoccurring female character; Persephone. This current iteration of her I based on an Egyptian Anubis with android-like features.

Client: Atomic Lollipop
Art Direction: Jared K. Nickerson & Atomic Lollipop crew
Character sketches/concepts: Glenn Arthur
Logo sketches/concepts: Filip Komorowski
Final Artwork: Jthree Concepts

This was a fun project in the sense that it got us to experiment with a different style, but make it more our own. I haven't worked with anime in years, so it was an interesting direction for me. Big thanks to Glenn Arthur for all the character sketching and big thanks to Filip Komorowski for the logo sketching.

Client: Sierra Magazine
Art Direction: Jared K. Nickerson & Tracy Cox
Illustrations: Jthree Concepts

This was a fun project as it allowed me to explore an older style of mine from a few years back. Core style of course inspired by classic character design and animation.
The idea was to have each core element it's own sticker, but in the end the idea didn't pan out. So instead the sticker idea was used as the intro page to the article and then some of the remaining characters used throughout the 10 page article.

Special thanks to Tracy Cox at Sierra Magazine.

Logo Sketches/Concepts: Filip Komorowski

This is a branding project for Italy based record label Baptism Records. Had a lot of fun working with this one and exploring the religion/death/baptism theme. I've never explored the religion/pseudo-religion theme in depth before, so this was an interesting direction.
You can catch Baptism Records on their Facebook and soon to come website.
