The beginning... It's so hard to think, so hard to recall what life was like before... but, I must remember. I must always remember.
It was Tuesday morning, 7 AM. Way earlier than any normal teenager on summer break would be up at. But, my parents being my parents, insisted that we get on the road early so we could get the four hour drive from Banff to Jasper National Park out of the way. We'd been on the road a few days, staying over night in camp grounds and cheap motels when it rained, so I was completely stoked on arriving at our destination and having a few days of downtime in the woods.
The drive was a blur of blasting punk rock on my ipod while staring out the window and trying to sleep to the rumbling of our ancient ford explorer. Either way, the thick green forest that blurred by was strangely beautiful. It's not like it was anything new though. Living in western Canada, I'd kinda gotten to know the forest quite well, but something about this section of highway

Miranda walked down the busy street. Children scampered about in their costumes, happily hauling bags of candy. "So cute." She thought to herself as she watched them, scanning the streets for someone about her age. Miranda was a witch, a good witch, but a witch none the less. As she continued to walk down the street, giggling every now and then when the children attempted to scare her, she smile suddenly when she saw a young man walking rather quickly towards an alley. "Perfect." She whispered.
Danny hurried down an alley, knowing it was a shortcut to the house party. "This better be worth the walk." He thought bitterly as he walked. The winds seemed to stop blowing and all the laughter of children seemed to fade farther and farther away.
Danny froze and turned around to see a young woman standing a few feet away from him. "Wh what do you want?" He stuttered, trying to disguise the surprise in his voice.
"Danny" The woman said again.

The three hulking engines of the Consular-class Cruiser, Constitution, heavily vibrated as it decelerated from the safe blue haze of hyperspace. Now at a slight hum, the ship slid effortlessly through space. Aboard was relatively young Jedi Guardian who had excelled through the faceless guardian ranks; his name Shakkra Kien. With him were a number of Jedi auxiliaries who were often sent with a Jedi to support them in unstable situations.
Their mission, far from routine, was to Jabiim. A civil war has ripped apart the northern hemisphere as warring factions fight over raw resourc

On a road from Loimola towards Suvilahti, early March 1940...
Something blew up ahead on the dark blue road. Rucksacks no longer felt heavy as their carriers threw themselves into the ditch, crawled behind rocks and trees. Snow fell from the nearby spruces like a white powder. Some were still covering their heads and rifles with their hands, as some lifted their faces from the ground. Men stared at each other's faces with uncertainty.
What should we do? Was the enemy somewhere near? Was someone hit? Did someone else piss his pants?
As the ringing echo of the explosion disappeared into the night, distant gunfire was heard ever clearer now. Dry nagging of machineguns and some rifle shots. The sounds made one or two of the men to feel sick. Either that, or they had managed to puncture their ears.
It was their first day and they hadn't even reached their Company yet. They were fresh. Still in their boyhood. The 2nd Company had been mauled pretty badly. More men were needed.

That phone in your right hand makes your pretty face glow an artificial blue, and you laugh at whatever your friend is whispering in your ear. The clear plastic cup in your left is filled with a sugary, iced coffee is slowly melting and going to waste, but you still chew on the green straw out of habit -- a nervous habit, and the action brings a question to my mind.
You laugh again. A very nice, almost genuine giggle. But by now I can tell that the sound is fake and a copy of those "friends" who surround you.
Your actions make me wonder. I wonder why you try so hard to be someone that you aren't. Your motions, the words that you speak, they are nothing but a copy of the things your companions think and do.
A mirror is what you are, simply showing a reflection of those around you. A mirror can only copy those whose presence are near it.
This thought makes me sad. After watching you for a time, I want to know. I want to kno

SW Clone Wars: WisdomCaptain Rex, known to many as the fearless Captain of the Five-Oh-First, the second in command to the reckless Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, and hero amongst the ranks of the Clone Army. However, no one really knew Rex as Rex. In fact, as the famed Captain stood with his hands clasped tightly behind him, on the platform outside the entrance to the Coruscant barracks of the GAR, what can only be called his 'home', he realized that no one really knew him at all. Although, he admitted that was his own doing, he had never actually invited anyone to know him more than Captain Rex. No. That's not true, you let Cody in and Commander Tano. Slightly. That we've broken apart.

You'll have to go to hell!!!
This is the place for men like you.
How long will it take, before I broke through?
The answer is simple,
The last broken tear must kill the fear.

Here in your life
Living through your glassy eyes
Your beauty pierces my flesh like a thousand sharp knives
My soul does not lie
I live for your presence
It is the only reason for my existence...
Just to be beside you and feel the impact of our internal energies
Our physics...our chemistries
I wish I was the sun that caresses your gorgeous face
Shining upon you ever so gently, so brightly
Like some sort of angel, heavenly laced
But from another universe...you came into me
Compelling these alien emotions to erupt within
I wish I was the moon
Guiding you through your darkest night
I watch you drift into unconsciousness
Intruding your REM, like some sort of parasite
As I manipulate your subconsciousness
discombobulating your insides
You cannot seem resist
My allure will continue to persist
Wondering aimlessly through those lucid dreams
Making them all reality, it seems
I am aware of your vulnerability
there is no escaping...

It was only after these observations that his gray-blue eyes settled on the seat in front of him. Odd, that those escortswhomever they werehad placed him in this specific seat, because every other one was empty except for the one directly facing him. That seat was occupied by a stub of a man, who sat looking equally as confused. His head had just been shaved, it seemed, though there was some fresh stubble already growing along his jaw and under his chin. He wore goggles over his eyes, and there was a yellow hardhat on the seat next

The night sky is quite beautiful, and even though it is the summer month here, the night is still very cold. Mar isn’t staring at the stars up in the sky, or the beautiful moon overhead.
Instead, he stares at the Keernal Space Station hanging right above their heads, looking everywhere else for their base. The fools have tried finding them, but no matter what they do, they will not find them here. After all, the pirates are here under the disguise of being a pharmaceutical company, and the Empire has already searched and investigated them, but all they found was innocent workers trying to find a living in the galaxy.
When they did researched their history, they got some fake ID’s that his master got for them. The Imperials believed the fake past, and moved on their way. M

I came from a strictly religious family
My mother died young and I was brought up by my grandmother
I was told that to sin was a wicked act
And that God punished sinners
I was brought up to believe that homosexuality was a sin
It seems to be that God played a cruel trick on me
As I grew up I started to have homosexual thoughts
I felt ashamed but I could not stop my imagination
In time I realised that I was homosexual
But I had to repress my thoughts
I could not reveal my true identity to anyone
I left school and for a short time I was unemployed
After that I joined the army and learned to kill
To deal with the sight of blood without being squeamish
After I left the army I became a civil servant

The heartless monster left in his place,
How was a broken snow white queen able to fight him?
So she waits on the other side,
Knowing Vader will breathe on.
But when Luke is ready...
Anakin will pull through.

While playing DAO and DA2, my perception of the Chantrys (both of them) has always been that they are a dangerous organization controlling people through fear, trying to give the population a false sense of safety and control in order to remain in power and justify their activities.
In most of Thedas, if you refuse to submit to the teachings and rules of the Chantry, you are branded an apostate... If you help apostates, you can be executed. Even Grand Cleric Elthina admitted that killing innocent lives has never stopped the Chantry from going on Exalted Marches to defend "the Faith" (when she asks you to go speak with Sister Nightingale).
