Being an ArtistSometimes when I talk to some friends here and I see their works I admire the fact of how expressive some of them can be. Sometimes I told them "You're more artist than me" and to me is true. I say that 'cause many people forget how beauty can be a face and they just want to catch the personality. I like that a lot. Sometimes I'm not able to do that even if I can get realistic portraits. I'm still finding my way in art.
Maybe other people is more expressive and I can't get still what I'm searching for, but I really try to put my heart there, time, hands, eyes, brain, health, etc. All of my drawings have a meaning and in general there is a sense and all of them explain my life, my present, past and future even if they are commissions.
I try to express how much I appreciate the person or objects I'm drawing. Literally I'm an artist 'cuz I make use of a "technique" but I know the way is long to get that name deeply.
I've been working in a hard commission and the draw

Passion for Art'Passion', I use to hear this word from lips of people that love what they do, from people that work hard, from people with ideals. They don't need to look weird or fantastic, wise or intelectual, they are just normal people. People that are in love with their work.Passion for Art3 years ago in Personal More Like This
'Passion', like when we drew for first time, when we were kids taking a notebook trying to fill these pages with our heroes, the things we wanted, we dreamed, our house, our family, our pets, etc.
'Passion' like first time somebody broke our heart and just a piece of paper and a pencil could console us. Like when our parents argued and we felt so frustrated having nothing to do just to define our rage in some doodles.
It's like something that comes from us without asking for permission, it just appears and burns, we don't search for it, it is something that we "suffer" but is according to our actions, our work, our effort. it is stimulated for the things that move us.
I hated art many times and I loved
Summary + Features of 20112011 was an amazing year, at least for me. I graduated, met a lot of awesome people and workd a lot. I also have been practicing at drawing, not as much as I would like to, but at least I almost completed my last year resolution. I know that for some reasons 2012 is going to be a tough year, with a lot of changes. I won't have a lot of time to draw, but I promise myself to do my best.Summary + Features of 20114 years ago in Personal More Like This
Now, lets move on to the features. There was a lot of awesome works of many artists that I adore, here in dA, so I chose the ones I loved the most. So here are my favorite works of 2011!

When an Angel lovesI don't wanna lose youWhen an Angel loves4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
but sometimes u seem that far.
I'd like to strecth my arm
and touch the tip of ur fingers
but there is a big wall of glass between us.
I could find another girl
but nobody will be like you,
nobody that sweet,
nobody that kind,
nobody that funny,
nobody that cute,
nobody that smart.
If I only could have you just once
to know how much we love.
If I only could melt in front of your eyes.
If I only could smile seeing ur lips moving
saying my name.
If I only could whisper "I'm yours".
Even I'd be yours if you're not mine
but it seems that an angel can never love.
It seems nobody can destroy this wall
between you and me.
They say if an angel kiss a woman he'd die.
But for a kiss of yours I'd do it,
just for feeling your fingers stroking my hair,
just for feeling ur head resting on my chest,
just for feeling your weak body in my arms.
I'd quit to my life for you
and thousand times more
Your NothingToo fool to understand you,Your Nothing4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Too weak to resist you,
Too slow to catch you,
Too far to touch you.
Sometimes I feel my words are not enough.
Sometimes I think you even forgot my name.
Sometimes I'm not sure if you know I exist.
Sometimes I cry for you without tears.
Cause' each word is for you,
each word falls down from my eyes,
from my soul,from my heart
and just wanna express how empty is my life, my time,
my love, my hands, my lips.
I can't find the way you see me as I see you.
I can't find the way you think of me
spending every moment of the f...ng night
just imagining your eyes saying you need me
as I need you.
My pillow is full of my kisses.
My pillow has the marks of my hugs.
MY pillow knows my dreams about you
and even knows your name.
But, probably I'm just a number in your life.
Probably, you're just kind.
Probably you're just polite.
Probably I just mean nothing.
Nothing, that's me,
the nothing that loves you in the silence,
the nothing that screams when nobody hears,

Art History: John William Waterhouse:iconarthistoryproject: :iconcommunityrelations:Art History: John William Waterhouse3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
A man of some mystery John William Waterhouse, most affectionately known throughout his lifetime as 'Nino" was born in Rome to his English parents William and Isabella during the wonder years of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood who set the art world alight.
It was his Italian beginnings that first influenced his artistic style as a young man first at school in Leeds, then later at his fathers studio in London where he entered the coveted Royal Academy of Arts at the age of 21, not as a painter; but as a sculptor. Six months later his probationary term ended and he was fully enrolled as a student leading to his first painting exhibits.

Painted Within MeLoving you is unceasing torture, wrapped in immeasurable pleasure.Painted Within Me3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Like swimming in water so clear and blue the sharks below look as though they glide in nothing but air.
And at any moment, I could fall into their open jaws.
With you, the highs are dizzying.
Reaching up into space where time and gravity are distorted beyond belief.
Where there is nothing but the stillness of infinity.
The tremor of awe.
The feeling that you are all that exists.
In turn, the lows could descend into something far beyond grief.
A darkness with the capacity to tear the soul to nothing.
Reduce the body to ash.
Render the heart incapable of beating.
Leave the mind a blank canvas,
Where there was once a rich, breathtaking landscape..
A landscape you painted within me.
Without even having to try.
When Your Youth EndsWhen Your Youth EndsWhen Your Youth Ends2 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Is there a particular day when you're no longer young?
When you know that adulthood's cares have begun?
Is it like when Lather turned thirty and they removed all his toys?
Or do you simply bleed away your child's sense of joy?
Where is the tipping point where you move from growing to dying?
When I was a kid, I was told it was twenty-five.
But I lied to myself until I was thirty-three,
That a real job and success was just around the corner for me.
So, is the actual place where your youth ends,
On the day you understand what it truly means,
When the cynics all say that,
Almost no one achieves their dreams?
Is it one of the endless parade of days when,
You wonder where in the world is your place,
Or if you're really just here to keep on stealing oxygen,
And to keep consuming and producing waste?
Then others still will tell you,
That starting a family is the key,
That choosing to remain single,
Makes you a selfish traitor to humanity.
And you're not tr
how i started taking picturesthis is something i have wanted to share with you all for a very long time. in fact, it's been a long time since i first picked up a camera and things were much different back then to where they are now. this post has been sitting in my drafts for weeks and today, right now, i feel like is the right time to press publish... this is a blog post without any photos (maybe even for the first time ever), just words. about how i started taking pictures.how i started taking pictures2 years ago in Personal More Like This
for as long as i can remember i have always been artistic or creative in some way. i was a quiet girl with long, untamed hair and bruised legs from rollerskating falls. i was quite dark when i was younger. i think looking back on those days now, i understand why. i didn't know what to do with my thoughts or my creativity, i didn't really understand who i was or what i was meant to be doing. i would spend a lot of time alone, i didn't like talking to new people and i always quiet at school and would mind my own business. i think inside i knew

Geza - THE FINAL HOURS
WRITTEN BY: Dr William Fowlds (wildlife veterinarian).
This is the story of a white rhino callously mutilated by poachers and left alive with his horns and part of his face hacked off with pangas, as told through the eyes of Dr William Fowlds who witnessed the Rhino's final hours.
On the 11th February 2011 I found myself forced into a personal experience of the most horrific, man-inflicted animal suffering. An experience that has affected me beyond what I thought was possible. Many months on and I still struggle to contain and express the emotions burned within me, that churn to the surface every time I talk about that day.
I don't expect to make sense of it, or the similar rhino deaths that take place daily in my country. I do intend to ensure that the account of this one rhino's tragic end, will reach into the conscience and hearts of all men and woman, and compel each of us to do som
