Trying to get out of a little art slump :C By forcing myself to finish things. So i doodled up this Gylfie from the Guardians of Ga'hoole series and refused to let myself give up just because I didnt like it |:<
Itís like a storm That cuts a path Itís breaks your will It feels like that
You think your lost But your not lost on your own Your not alone I will stand by you I will help you through When youíve done all you can do If you canít cope I will dry your eyes I will fight your fight I will hold you tight And I wont let go
It hurts my heart To see you cry I know itís dark This part of life Oh it finds us all And weíre too small To stop the rain Oh but when it rains
I will stand by you I will help you through When youíve done all you can do And you canít cope I will dry your eyes I will fight your fight I will hold you tight
And I wont let you fall Donít be afraid to fall Iím right here to catch you I wont let you down It wont get you down Your gonna make it Yeah I know you can make it
Cause I will stand by you I will help you through When youíve done all you can do And you canít cope And I will dry your eyes I will fight your fight I will hold you tight And I wont let go Oh Iím gonna hold you And I wont let go Wont let you go No I wont
When I first heard this song, the first thing that popped in mind was JESUS!
I redid the cover for the old classic The Phantom Tollbooth. I loved that book then again like my father I am a pun master so whats not to love about it. I could never find an image in my head about what Tock actually looked like. So this is what I came up with, his whole sides are the clocks the hour hand moves like it should but the minute hand is his actual arm and paw, so he is a pointer dog ^_^ you ask what time it is an he will point it out. ya told you I love puns!
Whoa, lots of stuff to do for the holidays. Well, another portrait from me... portraits are a good pastime, haha--let's you practice lighting on figures and coming up with believable skin tone. Actually, I sort of exaggerate when it comes to that, either too warm or too cold, as this one here is. I find this kind of lighting relaxing to the eye, besides it's rather subtle and not infringing unnaturally on a subject's features. I also love backlighting for portraits, as it creates a kind of "halo effect"--and softens the edges against either a dark or lighter backdrop ( in this case, nothing at all...)--and works wonders with the hair, whether it's fair( like Saoirse's ) or jet black ( like yours truly's...)
Anyway, these are just warm-up stuff, I'll be uploading some real concept works, hopefully things with a lot more creativity...that is, until the powers that be decide it's all right--you know how "hush-hush" these copyright issues can be. So there, Happy Holidays to everyone and keep your head out of the clouds ( or at least try...) and your feet firmly on whatever surface is available. Peace out.
Edit: Is it just me or is Saoirse starting to have an uncanny resemblance to a very young Helen Mirren ( one of my favourite actresses since time immemorial, lol...)?
This piece, is dedicated to all of those people who see Narnia more than just books and movies.
Narnians, remember the real meaning from this books, remember what C.S. Lewis wanted from them. Remember the real meaning of this part. I dedicate this piece to this day too; the day that our Lord Jesus die.
I really hope you like it, this part is so special for me :') it has too many things that we have to remember.
