She raised her palms to the sky, fingers spread, and sunk her toes into the earth. Heat-filled particles of light warmed her face and the moist cool matter softened her toes. This was life and she relished in its glory.
Nature was her mother and the ruler of the cosmos was her father. She imagined herself as a tree, her feet diving down into the rich folds of the earth, planting their roots, while her fingers extended to the heavens forming into a million branches. Leaves and flowers exploded from her branches as they begged for the gift of light from the sun.
She walked in beauty. From where she stood, a gathering of red poppies reached to her gently brushing against her calf, begging to feel her touch. She leaned forward caressing the petals with the tips of her fingers and the flowers gently kissed her face in return. She laughed. She had always imagined that poppies would make for extremely faithful friends, providing every comfort and need in times of despair, but they would alway

“Hades, who is that girl?” Hecate approached him as he locked Persephone’s door, taking one last moment to linger in future memories yet to be made.
“Persephone, I brought her here to marry me.” She was just as he imagined: full of life and love. She was always dancing, joyously, with her multitude of flowers and trees bowing to her. The sunlight, all at once, radiated from her skin as she absorbed it. He could not picture a woman more suited to his tastes and desires than she. She would be his goddess. She would bring life to the Underworld. She would all at once rule over death and life—with him at her side. He would know

There was a change in the wind, a shift in the grass. The sun became harsh and the ground grew cold. Silence and stillness saturated all space and time.
"Persephone!" She called. The wind carried her voice across the expanse of her garden. The wind did not return. No giggling or rustling, no whispering or dancing. She called out once again, "Persephone!" Yet still, her call remained unanswered.
The nymphs lost track of her in the meadow. Persephone was fond of disappearing into the forests and streams—or wherever the nymphs did not follow. The flowers and trees called to her. Demeter knew that her child was independent in nature and enjoyed her counsel with the flowers. Persephone distrusted the nymphs, knowing that their loyalty was first to her and not Persephone. However, Persephone maintained the loyalty of the life in the garden, something Demeter never tried to compromise.
Regardless of Persephone's want of freedom and independence, she always returned home. She never strayed bey
Pomegranate Seeds Persephone hugged her knees as the cold stone she sat upon slowly numbed her. Never before had she noticed stone, having spent her life in fields and meadows. Light from the torches flickered, giving some illumination to the otherwise black room. In her meadows at home, if it were ever this dark, she could look up at the stars and the moon. Night was something she never feared, but this darkness now haunted her. It was inescapable. Helios would not ride across the Tartarus sky bringing light to this world of death. No one ever escaped Hades and the Underworld. Persephone was no goddess. She was a demi-god, daughter of Demeter an

Hades looked up from his favorite chair, the book he was engrossed in still propped up on his knee. Of all the people in the Underworld, Persephone was the only one allowed to disturb him while reading. But it was late, and he was surprised to see her up.
“Ah, hello Persephone,” he said, smiling, “Come in and sit with me.”
She trotted in and sat down in her favorite chair, the one he kept close to the fire because she was always cold. Hades was tired from hours of paperwork, and he'd missed her these last few days. Underworld business, dull though it may have been, was a Zeus-ordered mandate, and there was no shirking the job. There were many nights when he didn't sleep at all, and he knew it distressed Persephone to be left alone so often in these lofty chambers.
“Will you sit with me?” he asked, and she beamed at him, relieved. With her

I dont remember if I had a dream while I slept just that whatever was going through my mind, kept me asleep for a long while. When I finally regained consciousness I felt dizzy, and disoriented. I let a moan escape my lips and I slowly raised my hand to touch my head, which was swirling around itself. I could feel my fingertips brush my forehead, but they felt heavier, at least one did. I realized I had lifted my left hand; the finger that weighed the most was the one next to the pinky. I gasped and tried to sit up, but it took me all I could to open my eyes and see the diamond ring on my finger. It wasnt a band with a diamond, but a diamond band. Ten diamonds were wrapped around my finger, and they glittered beautifully without any light in the room. I reached my other hand up to pull it off, but it wouldnt budge. I thought you might like it.
Persephone and Hades part IV I remembered seeing a door on the other side of the dresser; it must lead to a bathroom. I ran over, yanked it open, and slammed it shut. The mirror was on the other wall, so I didnt have to look at myself. I must be pale, almost ghost like, my hands certainly had that color. My hair would be a mess, along with the state of my clothes right then. I had yet to pin the shoulder back up, no desire anymore to care. This was the end. I had that to look forward to if no one would save me.Persephone and Hades part IV6 years ago in Fantasy More Like This

It was a small one that she brought in, so I guessed it might be an overnight trip, not anything for a serious amount of time. I threw in three brightly colored dresses and the best diamonds and jewels I had. If my mother had to see me like this, I was going to be beautiful. I also threw in the bottle of sparkle things from the bathroom and all the makeup. I grabbed the best sandals with small diamonds embedded in them, and then I closed the trunk. Is that all Holiness? Sophia asked, and started to drag the trunk out. Yes. But I stopped. Holiness? That was something you call a pure God or Goddess, not a Demi-Goddess like myself. "Gods, Hades, I swear that sometimes you're more insensitive than Cerberus. How could you say that about my mother?" She was distractingly tempting in her silk nightgown. The low light threw her into shadow, and her green eyes were glittering and smoky with anger.

Souls scattered like leaves upon the fields of the dead as their God walked amongst them. Somber and cold, he was called Hades and he was the Lord of the dead. So feared by mortals that even his name was not mention, for they believed that just that might bring his attention to them and he would call for Hermes to bring them to the underworld. He was the richest of all the Gods, as all treasures of the underground and soil were his but his riches meant little for there was no one to share these things with.
As other Gods were praised he was loathed, only the dead would keep him company and only the greedy ferryman, Charon, would speak to him. As he walked he could here the laughter of the Goddess Demeter and her Nymphs in Olympus and of course the laughter of lovely little Persephone. Hades had felt his heart for the first time when he heard the laughter of Persephone, all creatures smiled upon hearing it. Hades had longed for a Queen of such brightness and joy, something that

The lines seemed a little longer than normal today, or maybe it was they had a bit more difficult cases in them that made them seem so lengthy. Whatever the case, Hades was eager to be done for the day so he could return to his home, feed his three-headed dog, Cerberus and then himself, and retire to his chambers for the evening. That was his routine, as well as his curse. Wake with the dawn, sentence the souls, feed Cerberus and then wait for another day that was exactly like the last seventy-two thousand, nine hundred and ninety five days before it.

When the chariot touched down there was STYX and a servant waiting to take our things. Again, Hades cradled me in his arms and held me close so as to keep me away from the horses. Gently he set me down in the boat and waited as the servant finished putting the trunks in, then followed him inside, standing in front of STYX at the bow. I sat at the back, alone, feeling stupid. Part 1: Hades' Longing
He was creeping around the large vines willow, observing her every move. There was much shadow about the large tree that nobody need know he were there. From there in the darkness, out of sight of the sun and Helios, he watched.
She frolicked so gracefully in that field, it was captivating. Her breathing, light and quick, for she had been running around so much with her companions, Athena and Artemis, who were less pretty than Persephone was, herself. Persephone had this aura about her, this stubbornness but innocence that was so enthralling, one could not help but stare.
Hades moved an inch or so closer, for a better look at the goddess. They were in the meadow of Henna; she came here often to pick violets, larkspur, and her favourites, tiger lilies. As he moved, Persephone had knelt down to pick up a beautiful rose, as deeply red as could be. It complimented her skin so completely, for she was quite fair and her hair was a lovely auburn, fier

This is my story, the one of love and loss. Hate and distrust theft and the regaining of what I lost. My name is Persephone; my mother is the Greek goddess Demeter. Many, many human years ago, I was stolen from my mother by the god of the Underworld, Hades. He claimed me as his bride, forcing me to eat a berry from the Underworld so that I could not stay outside of it for very long or at least without him near me. But Im getting ahead of myself; I want to tell you everything.
I remember my last day on the planet we gods and demi-gods called Earth, where we let the mortal humans run around and be free. Mother had sent me with a few maids to pick flowers for her, especially since she was already angry with some farmers who had not given an offering before they planted their crops. I was obedient and left immediately, throwing on a dress no one would look at me twice in.

He stood with shadowed eyes on the other side of the closed door. He knew she thought he couldn't hear her, knew she thought he was elsewhere attending to business as usual--knew what she thought of him. When her furious sobs had given way to shuddering breaths he said quietly, "The door isn't locked," and as a startled silence fell inside the room he swept away down the hall, shoulders bent with the weight of drifting feathers.
The silence of the dining room as he approached was too silent; he didn't bother looking in.
She sat curled on the bed with the remains of the furnishings scattered around her. Her eyes were bloodshot and there was snot on

The one thing I noticed about Olympus servants and Hells slaves was that in Hell, the slaves were bound there but they had more spark to them. Here the servants worked because they were children of demi-gods and knew their place, so much so that they never spoke. It wasn't even a full twenty-four hours before Hades was summoned back to Olympus. 'If he thinks I'm going to apologize to that little brat, he's even more diluted than I thought.' Hades thought to himself, pulling his motorcycle into the parking lot once again. He had never seen Hecate laugh as much as she did when she saw the pink icing in her master's hair. If he was to retain any pride for yesterday's episode, apologies were not an option.
The halls seemed quieter than the last time he was here, but that was to be expected. After the small food fight that had occurred the party was cut dramatically short and pretty much everyone had left for their homes. Hades walked calmly through the halls of his brothers and sisters' house.
This was the most he'd been up here since Aphrodite's last wedding anniversary. That entire weekend had been a complete joke. Aphrodite flirted with almost every male present in a scrap of fabric that b

I had remembered that small beads of sweat that had accumulated on my chest and his own. His back had been taught and tense all night from the movement and my nails had almost dug completely into them. I remembered his lovely face looking down at me, kissing me, and breathing into my neck so wonderfully. I gradually awoke to the next day and found my head lying on his chest. It was smooth and hairless, which was odd for a God. I moved my hand around to find that he was completely dry, but his skin was still so smooth. Demeter was relaxed.
Or at least she would have been had her nerves allowed her to. She was in one the most relaxing spa environments known to mortal or god. She was surrounded by lavender walls with a mural of the afternoon sky on the ceiling. Soothing, sweet music played above her head, the faint sound of a stream trickling could be heard in the background, all whilst nymphs wove small flowers into her thick hair.
"Are you absolutely sure she arrived there okay?" Demeter asked one of the nymphs tending to her, for the thirtieth time that hour. Now the Oakson's Resort for Your Inner Goddess had seen stressed. They had seen frazzled, tensed, jittery and jumpy, but when they received the Goddess of Harvest she had been border lining hysterical.
This was partially because she had been physically dragged here from her autumn gardening work, only hours after seeing Kore off with those mortal children, wh

Hades took a deep breath and plopped down into the chair behind his ebony desk. His long fingers slid over his face as he leaned back in his chair. The past few hours had been exhausting to say the least, and Hades was beginning to understand why mortals turned to alcohol. Nothing was happening as planned, and at the moment he wasn't even sure what the plan was anymore. This was supposed to be an easy way out of family gatherings, but was quickly becoming one of the most stressful things Hades had ever endured.
This afternoon had been a disaster.
After signing off on the extension of the East Waiting Room, Hades had to go down to the dock's gates and check on how Cerberus was doing. He got pretty restless when Hades took long trips like this and had probably tried to eat someone again. Hades turned back around to face Persephone who was gawking like some sort of deranged tourist. He had been a little hesitant to leave such a nai

Hades waited patiently for a day when the sun would be hidden by the clouds, he did not want Helios to see him taking Persephone, Demeter would eventually find out where her daughter was. He had planned by the time the Goddess of the harvest found her daughter, it would be too late for he would have fed her the fruit of the dead and she would be his forever. His attendants watched him closely as of late; the smile he obtained that day in the earthly field was still spread across his handsome face.
This was the day, he thought. The clouds would soon cover the sky and he would open the earth and take Persephone. He had four grim steeds tied and ready to carry him to the surface and back when he wished. Slowly he rose, seeming as though he could have waited a thousand years more to obtain his Queen, in truth however, he could hardly wait to have her. His cold flesh sought the warmth of hers and more so her attention. There was blackness down the corrido

Great generals and their wars, men of valor and heroism. There were a few scenes of daily life in the human world, some serene, others boring but beautifully colored. Despite his expressionless face, Hades was surprised at the sights around him. He walked through a white covered landscape, with bare trees that looked to be clawing against the slate grey sky. The wind was harsh, carrying cold white crystals of snow on the currents of air that brushed passed his solid, armour-clad, towering frame.
His cobalt blue eyes looked around for any life in this barren land. He didn't even see a plant or animal. However, he wasn't searching for those. He quickly walked forward, his cloak and hair sweeping behind him as he moved against the wind.
Hades had not been in the world above for years. He last walked the earth after the war with the titans, when he and his brothers were deciding who would rule which realm. He remembered that before he descended into the depths of the earth, he looked out at the sunset over the horizon, realising that he may never see the beauty that this world held ever again. Eve
