"Death cannot hold me down"
Some people might get confused by this because it is conventional that life begins at birth and ENDS with death. We also sometimes find ourselves thinking,
"What will happen to me when I die?
Will I turn into a frog or something?
What if I've already spent this life before and this is just some kind of a second cha--"
Well hold that thought!
Let's go back to question number one: What will happen to me when I die? What indeed? What can be behind this mysterious phenomenon when some people even consider this as a wonderful phase as if welcoming death as that of a friend?
indeed, a friend?
There is always light waiting at the end of a dark tunnel.
There is always a rainbow after the rain.
There is no fruit with effortless work.
In order to experience joy, there are countless obstacles to hold us off therefore making that goal even more precious.
Death is not some scary, dark clo

The hallway was completely silent, which made Revis's footfalls seem even louder as his heavy boots landed on the steel. Not good when you were trying not to be seen. Why did it have to be so quiet? At least it wouldn't be hard to hear if someone was coming.
He stopped at the thick, tightly-sealed door and pulled the key card from his pocket. Bracing himself for the mechanical hiss, he inserted it into the slot and slipped inside as soon as there was a gap big enough to fit through. Then he hurried to the cell door and unlocked that too.
"Revis," said the soft, frightened, accented voice he'd come to know. "I thought you weren't coming."
He turned around and smiled when he saw her on the cot, knees hugged to her chest. "I told you I would. I just got a little hung up."
Vyra's expression softened and her chin sunk onto her knees. "Okay. I was starting to think you'd forgotten about me."
"I couldn't do that." He crossed the cell and sat beside her. "I promised, didn't I?"

"Lilly, Lilly. Calm down sweetie. I'm not anywhere. I'm at my friend's house, you remember um Gakupo right?" I ask. Tch. Lying was so easy. Those mushy girls would believe anything.
"Really? Your not lying are you?" She asked.
"Have I ever lied to you?" I make excuses just as readily as I know how to.

I didnt go out of my room for another four days, mostly crying myself to sleep or reading Saving Sarah Jane over and over again till I sobbed some more. I was a complete mess, for the simple fact that I had not done anything about Alex. Al and James made their nightly visits to tell me what was going on with people and to smuggle in some food for me, even if mum had offered to make me something. James told me that dad spent most of his time writing secret letters to someone, or muttering to himself around the house.
On that Thursday, an owl came up to my window and pecked its beak against the glass. Twiddle, my owl, was let into the room, and spread her little wings out as far as she could, and making a splat on my bed. If only you could bring heavier things, I joked, taking the letter from her foot. Then I opened up the envelope, taking out the letter hastily, then my eyes began to stare

The next few days dragged by slowly, until Saturday, when Al came up to me one day at lunch, he threw a letter onto my lap and said, From mum. He threw a separate letter also on my lap a few seconds later, From dad.
Then, he sounded even less thrilled, From Teddy. He said, throwing the last letter into my lap. The ruddy owl cant tell me from you, its just sad. When I knew he was actually upset that Teddy had written to me, and not Al. Teddy wasnt really related to us, yet, but he was the person that I have ever gotten closest to. Even when I was younger, he could always get me to smile by changing his hair color. It was slightly disappointing that he wasnt in Hogwarts anymore, but he was like dad and he was going to become an Auror. Victoire would soon be his wife, hopefully, so that would make him an official part of our family. Teddy also stood up for me when eve

He was sure his heart had stopped.
"Please forgive me, Casey," Lance said, hugging him tighter. "Oh man, I was so worried about you."
Casey couldn't talk. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't even form thoughts. All he could do was sit there and stare wide-eyed at nothing, with his mouth hanging open dumbly. He could feel Lance's hair brush against his face and the soft scratchiness of the wool fleece he always wore against his bare arms. He could feel his fingers digging into his back like he would never let go. The strong arms around him were definitely Lance's arms and his embrace was familiar. He'd hugged Casey like this before--after their father had been locked, after a close call with the Caps, even once when Casey had wandered off in the woods and it took Lance an hour to find him.
"Excuse me," said the woman's voice from the doorway. "Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to leave until I can verify your access."
Lance let Casey go and turned. "It's okay. This is my brot

Zack kept a detailed eye on the dozen set of surveillance videos that Ryan had rigged. Several of them showed the lounging areas, while a few focused on the entrance and hallways of the elite club. The Christmas function at the great hall was a good opportunity to find the criminals he had been tracking down. Zack's eyes observed the activities of the few suspects meticulously. With the help of Ryan's software program that highlighted each of the cons, Zack studied their behavior and their acquaintances. Having consumed himself in work, he heavily hesitated to reach for his phone when it rang.
Until he saw the caller ID.
"Ryan, can you take over for a minute?" Zack motioned a finger to the phone he had placed against his ear, and Ryan nodded. Zack moved to a dark corner in their reconnaissance van. He clicked on the slim screen.
"Hi Zack." A delicious voice warmed his ears. "It's been some time, hasn't it?"
"Yeah." He cleared his throat. "How are you doing, Ava?"

Jade could tell Casey was fighting back tears. For a moment she couldn't help feeling sorry for him. She tried to imagine what it must be like to see your brother ripped away from you so soon after being reunited. She knew how she would feel if it happened to her and Revis.
Both she and her brother had listened silently while Lance talked. She wasn't sure what to make of him. On one hand, him showing up at the Sublevel so soon after they'd brought Casey in seemed a bit suspicious. On the other hand, his story was actually kind of plausible, even if it was unlikely. Besides, how else would he know about Reddam? How else would he know what a Deadbolt was? Everything he said Nikk told him about the resistance was accurate. There really wasn't any reason not to believe him, even though there might be reason not to trust him. It's just as well, Jade thought. Once they get in touch with Reddam everything will be set straight.

Elrond sighed contentedly and pressed closer to Ereinion, allowing his eyes to slip closed as he felt the heat from the High King's body combine with his own, aiding the fire in protecting them from the biting cold of the snow falling outside. Elrond opened his eyes and watched the white flakes for a few seconds before his gaze was drawn towards the roaring fire. His eyes drifted up towards his lover's face and he took in the way the orange glow played across Ereinion's high cheekbones, casting shadows from his eyelashes and enhancing his handsome features beautifully. Ereinion's eyes were closed in contentment and his muscled chest rose and fell as he breathed deeply.

Wander you far across lands, forest & desert sea
Or dream you deep in a cloudless sky ...
Yet a presence looms & beckons, spirits unseen
For they are the Djinn, silent and ever watching,
embalmed into seasons of mortal blood-flow
And beware, for I shalt not speak of this again,
lest darkness unto thy flesh they quest and sow
Eons adrift in smokeless fire did they slumber...
Befallen to Earth's domain, they undressed fate
The Djinn, ancient dwellers humans would fear
Betwixt worlds they linger, shimmering in fire
Thru parallel dimensions they reach, seducing
dreams and reality, life... You!
Peering eyes thru the veil of time and space;
shape shifters of any form, stalk and hunt
Thoughts & flesh canst not escape their magick
Besieged and shadowed, the human race
til they are sent back to whence they came
And death became a wanton treasure,
where Angels pillage & Demons lust in flame

Memories are something I'll never understand. There are so many things I want to forget about, to banish to the darkest corners of my mind and lock them there, never to be relived again.
Unfortunately, you can't. And that's why I still have nightmares about the men with horns, who tried to take me from my parents, their deep black and red eyes are permanently etched into my mind. Loud, inhuman growls echoing through our tiny home. How my papa wrapped his arms around me and screamed at them to leave me be. And when they refused, and attacked, how his lifeless body slumped over, crushing me beneath him.
I have good memories too, of course, everyone does. Sometimes, they're just harder to dig up if you're too focused on the bad memories.
Thinking back, I can remember my momma telling me fantastic stories about warriors and gods, her eyes distant, as though she were seeing a world where her stories came to life. Then there was papa, singi
