It appears that Gufuu had taken one of the living room's throw pillows and decided to bash Link with it upon entering. He saw that Smith was just there beside his grandson, watching the whole scene, but he did not care… all he wanted was to kill Link at the moment, which he controlled and used the pillow instead.

Shadows continued to swarm over the young shadow as he cackled rather crazily. The heroes scowled at this and waited for his next move.
