1. First of all- DON'T BE AFRAID OF COMING UP WITH TOTAL CRAP. Total crap is better than nothing at all, and often just writing and/or drawing SOMETHING helps exponentially. In my experience, wallowing in self pity because you can't come up with anything a) keeps the rut longer and b) might just piss people off.
2. Go back over old things you've written that you're really proud of. What about them is so good? Think about that and try to build upon it for future works.
3. Don't give up on yourself. YOU, AT ANY TIME OF YOUR LIFE, 24/7, ARE CAPABLE OF MUCH MORE THAN YOU THINK. MUCH, MUCH MORE- SO GIVING UP ON YOURSELF IS JUST A CRIME.
4. Time doesn't always solve everything. Inspiration doesn't always strike like lighting, so you might not know when you're at your bes
