Those weeks I'm in professional training and I miss this much my cat that I drew this little draw during the class... (I also training work sometimes, and I only drew pencil art, the rest is infographic, I didnt spread all art equipment on the table ^^)
Thats an awkward truth said here : "sometimes I wish I'm as small as my cat for him to hug me"...and so true truth... (cat's owners understand me ?)
Literally ... the 11th hour. Hopefully, they get it in time for it to qualify.
So, for some reason while taking a bath I randomly felt like entering the design contest again! It's that simple.
I think I've just been having some bad luck lately and wanted to challenge myself and do something fun. At the same time, I had wanted to do an "actual" art nouveau piece and so blending the two ideas lead us here.
I didn't go overly in your face Canada on this one as I usually do or as people usually do, though her bouquet is made of trilliums, the background is intentionally Canadian, and she's got a few maple leafs here and there because I not only love maple trees and their leaves I'm also quite fond of the idea that they represent our country. :3 Additionally, skirt is meant to and hopefully looks like waves of silver. I also incorporated the convention logo into the moon, so overall I'm very happy with the balance of things! I believe it's neither too much nor too little.
Drawing done traditionally with graphite pencils on 7"x10" sketchbook paper, then colored in photoshop cs4.
"Good news? I found the problem. Bad news? I made it worse."
It started out with just a mechanic staring up at her handiwork, or the work ahead of her. But upon finishing drawing and coloring her it ended up being a mechanic who's about to get into some trouble for her handiwork, LMAO!
Still forcing myself to put my characters in some kind of BG. They're baby steps, but the environment looks...passable I think, lol! Of course if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears ^_^
I'm so happy to have this one finished. It was alot of fun to work on and experiment with.
