Sketchbook Pro 6So most of you know that I'm a Sketchbook Pro user.Sketchbook Pro 62 years ago in Personal More Like This
A few days back, Autodesk released Sketchbook Pro 6, and I think this is the version that's going to make a lot of people who have YET to experience Sketchbook Pro in full, or haven't really given the past versions a chance, switch over to making it their digital drawing software of choice; heck, even their PAINTING software of choice.
We still have the cleverly-designed user interface, that makes it easy on the eyes and mind when we're brainstorming and sketching. With the handful of new tools introduced, we still have a clutter-free drawing environment, and man, there's some awesome tools this time around. I'll go down the list:
The Brush Library
The main brush toolbar itself has a click-and-drag function, allowing you to store all your often-used brushes in each of the "lanes". You then can click the button on the upper-right and then a fu

Bell$ and Whi$tle$You remember when mobile phones used to just do one thing: be a phone? Then they could text. Then they could take photos. Then they could connect to the internet.Bell$ and Whi$tle$2 years ago in Personal More Like This
People pay hundreds for the latest iPhone, which does a ton of things on top of being a phone, and which is why I DON'T OWN ONE!
I carry a phone because I might need to make a call.
Don't think that I'm some sort of Luddite that takes offence at all the bells and whistles they bolt onto the little boxes. I'm not. I just have no use for them, and so, I don't want to pay for them.
I can go into my local phone emporium and pick up a device that is a phone and only a phone for £19.99 (or even less!). No camera, no internet access, just a crappy little green screen that displays a number.
It's a phone, nothing more.
Which brings me to the next generation of consoles.
As far back as I have desired them, they have cost around the £100 – £200 mark at launch, even when they started doing things they didn't need to, like play DVDs/Blue

Sadly what confuses me are people writing up “Shots Fired!” comments under the artwork. That makes no sense to me. Is it because he draws “sexy” things and people just assume that I’m against “sexy” things cuz I make feminist-slanting comics from time to time? If that’s their beef, then they’re idiots and lack simple comprehension skills necessary to form accurate conclusions based on things I’ve said. Especially since I’ve said that not only do I like sexy artwork and characters, but that I like JJ’s work and have no issues with it what-so-ever. Anyway... ENJOY THE CUTE CARTOON!
So there’s this YouTuber named Sam Pepper who does viral prank videos. Recently he did a series of videos where he pinched the butts of various people, both men and women. In the videos it appears unprovoked and very invasive of random st
The Day of The Doctor is at hand.....As a long-time Doctor Who fan, I'm kind of excited over this. The Day of The Doctor is at hand.....1 year ago in Personal More Like This
****theories that may turn out to be spoilers****
"The name I chose was the Doctor. It's like a promise you make.", that's what the 11th Doctor said, shortly before a hitherto unseen Doctor appears.
My theory is that this was Doctor 8.5.
"He's the one who broke the promise."
We know that, as of the 9th incarnation, the Doctor is the last Time Lord standing after the final Time War against the Daleks. This conflict ended with the Doctor using some device/mechanism known as "The Moment", which saw about the destruction of both his own race and the enemy.
If "Doctor" is a promise, then I think genocide does a fairly good job of breaking it.
John Hurt's "Doctor" is the Doctor..... but not.

last year was tough...
you noticed that my output was significantly lower...well... in the number of strips, but taking into consideration the much longer strips of chapter 4, difference is not that drastic.
there was a reason for this. i kept alluding to a family health crisis. i prefer to keep these things to myself
but now that this is behind us, i can say what made a mess of the year
my mom was diagnosed with a severe heart condition. day before book 1 came out she was admitted to hospital to have stents implanted and the procedure was a success.
last year i was operating under a constant prepare for the worst case scenario kind of pressure.

I’ve been doodling some jokes about my experiences with Skyrim. I’m sure the answer I’ll get is an emphatic “yes” but I wanted to ask all the same. Should I post those? Right now they’re just pencil sketches and I don’t know if any of them are worth slaving over to completion... I’m open to suggestions or advice.
Are there any other sandbox style games like Skyrim? I mean, in that I don’t need to do the main quest to have fun. That the world is huge and I can do whatever I want. And that doesn’t revolve around scarface worshipping in an urban location. I’m trying to catch up on a lot of the games I missed initially. Not sure what I should be checking out, but if you’ve read my Skyrim journals you’ll know how I play and what I like. Just no GTA crap.
This show weirds me out. Is it just me, or are the Crystal Ge
Might No 9 Female Robot DebacleNot sure how I missed this but a couple days ago one of the kickstarter people attached to Keiji Inafune’s “Mighty No. 9” project has caused a bit of controversy. It seems she tweeted that she would have liked for Mighty No. 9’s designs to be female. And then the internet exploded on her for trying to further her “feminist agenda.”Might No 9 Female Robot Debacle1 year ago in Personal More Like This
You know... I keep harping on these issues because of idiotic shit like this. I mean, seriously? It’s not even a THING. She said she would have LIKED it if the character designs were female, not that she was trying to FORCE her agenda on anything. Clearly from the design art the character is already male to begin with, so what are people worried about? There’s literally no need to get angry over this. It was someone’s OPINION about something they were working on.
Granted, from what I understand of the debacle, she didn’t handle herself well with the uproar, but frankly I’m more forgiving about

New 3-D Peanuts Movie... but why?No. Just... NO!New 3-D Peanuts Movie... but why?10 months ago in Personal More Like This
Look... It’s incredibly commendable that Blue Sky (A studio who’s talent is sadly grossly ignored by the general public) is able to re-create almost perfectly the art style of Charles Schulz with computer graphics. My main problem is... WHY? Why does it have to be 3-D? Why does it have to be CGI? Ever heard of Occam’s Razor: “The simplest solution is often the best?” Why work so hard emulating a hand drawn art style in 3-D instead of just doing it HAND DRAWN? For all their hard work, this looks like a 2-D Peanuts cartoon minus the outlines so... why not just animated in 2-D and don’t use outlines??? You can even apply a post faux 3-D effect over it to achieve basically the exact same results you get here so... Why?
To be fair, the movie looks like it’s going to be very faithful to the original series and probably will be very cute. I just don’t understand why it needs to be 3-D.
So What is it that Gamers Want?Over the past several weeks gamers have been whining incessantly about” journalistic integrity” over the supposed “scandalous” incident involving Zoe Quinn which may or may not have actually happened at all.So What is it that Gamers Want?5 months ago in Personal More Like This
Zoe Quinn was accused of sleeping with journalists to get positive reviews for her game... which wasn’t true. While it’s entirely possible that she did sleep with games reviewers while cheating on her current boyfriend, there’s no real evidence that that translated into positive attention for her game. And frankly, that’s not really any of our business is it? A person’s personal sex life isn’t anything WE, gamers, should be concerned with.
But weather or not you believe the rumors, the thing that gamers seem to want NOW is to “rid games journalism of corruption,” which begs the question... what corruption? I understand that there’s this idea that if a game journalist donates money to a game on, say, Patre

They set up a new one. One which they use to rattle off whatever flatulance they believe passes as worthwhile commentary in the real world, most likely in the wake of mummy and daddy slapping them on the wrist over something - angsty, juvenile pricks that they are.
And juvenile they must be, as anyone with a mite more experience would realise that any weight you hope your words might have is completely lost when someone visits your "slander" profile and reads the numbers "0 Deviations", "0 Favourites", "0 Watchers", "No Journal entries", etc.
It renders your words as vacuous as your gallery.
So if you're going to type stuff like "I feel like some of the smut you draw takes away from the credibility of your art as a whole." or

You may do whatever comes to mind, as long as it shows Regina being happy in some way.
That includes everything from her as the Evil Queen being delighted over some mischief, to her spending time with Henry, or you could show her with whoever you ship her with, whether it’s Emma or Daniel or someone else entirely! Or maybe she’s having a blast trolling the inhabitants of Storybrooke, it’s all for you to decide!
Just some ideas to get your inspiration flowing, but everything is allowed for this contest, as long as it follows the theme.
I hope a lot of people participate, but most of all that you have fun! I can't wait to see what you can come up with, and I would like to wish everyone good luck in the contest!

Last chicken in Sainsbury's“Dirty Bird”, a fried chicken vendor in Wales, has been forced to defend its choice in logo:Last chicken in Sainsbury's6 months ago in Personal More Like This
Some rather prudish individuals have complained that it looks a mite dubious, while the owner of Dirty Bird has insisted that people are seeing what they want to see, and not what was intended.
It is claimed that the logo is simply the lower case initials of the company placed back to back in order to form the neck and wings of a cockerel.
Seeing one of Dirty Bird’s recent promotional images, however; one might be given cause to doubt their professed innocence.
And people ask why I like living on this spiteful little island

Started to do the magic with a screw driver, finally praying the moment to turn on, i was surprised to hear 3 beeps, dman was the ram???? At least the computer wasnt restarting very 2 seconds over and over and over, so i run out to a store buy new ram, place it and still hearing the 3 damn bets.
Again started reading and reading, downloaded the manual of my mother board, read more, learned to restart the cmos by fli
Getting Noticed in dAEveryday, millions of users from all over the world use deviantART, and it is really hard for new users to get themselves noticed. Oh yes, it is HARD. It can actually be a really disappointing experience for some of us. But, if you show some patience and work for it, you may just be able to crack through that wall standing between you and exposure to the community. Remember, all it take is patience. Lots and lots of patience. Oh, and you also need to trust yourself. Just because you couldn't get a huge fan base in several weeks or months doesn't mean that you will never get them. But, there are some really important stuff you need to follow first before getting there.Getting Noticed in dA2 years ago in Personal More Like This
dA is also a community, just like any other community in the world. The only difference is dA is and online community and the others, well they are totally offline . So, this means there will be some standards to be held in there, or else it won't function properly. You are going to have to stick to
'Why Are We Even Talking About This?'I get that phrase a lot, that and "over react much?" whenever I bring up ANY issue, be it from a video game, politics, or whatever. You'll be unsurprised to learn that I don't agree with that wisdom. In my books, if you don't do anything, nothing is going to happen. If there's an injustice in the world somewhere and you stay silent, that injustice isn't going to fix itself. It will just keep happening. That, my friends, is complacency.
Then of course there are those people who don't believe that the world will ever change, therefor there's no reason to try, and actively try to stop anyone who dares to stand up for something. I can't begin to describe how annoying that mindset is to me. It's almost sadistic in it's very nature, by actively trying to stop people from making the world a better place by being dismissi

I guess if you're going to hire the likes of Sir Ben F**king Kingsley (full name) and company to peddle your products; you want to go multi-region to get your money's worth.
Theatrics aside, it made me ponder on why Britain has this villainous reputation, and I started to compile a list:
The British Empire was the biggest drug-dealing organisation in history and made a fortune selling opium to China. In the mid 19th century, when the Chinese Emperor tried to stop them, they sent in The Nemesis – basically the Death Star of the era – which proceeded to decimate the entire Chinese fleet. Then they stole Hong Kong.
In an emergency, such as a disaster or terror attack, an intelligence committee is convened. Its codename is “COBRA”.
